Germany and France want a ‘stronger Europe’ without subservience to the USA

The French and Germans want more European unity without subservience to other powers:

Germany’s new foreign minister, Sigmar Gabriel, pledged on Saturday to work closely with France in forging stronger European solidarity amid increasing Russian threats in eastern Europe and a potential cooling in relations with the United States.
In his first foreign visit as Germany’s top diplomat, Gabriel told reporters in Paris, “Europe has no reason to fear the future – we have no reason for subservience or restraint.”
French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault reaffirmed France and Germany’s common desire for a stronger Europe, saying, “If Germany and France are moving in the same direction and are thinking in the same direction, then Europe is moving forward.”
The two men also vowed to set up bilateral working groups to specialize on tackling key external issues, including Russia and the Ukraine crisis. …

So, “the gloves are off,” to cite an American expression.
Essentially because of Brexit and the election of Donald Trump, French and German leaders feel that they no longer need restraints when discussing what they want Europe to become.
Prior to the UK’s Brexit vote to leave the European Union, the United Kingdom acted as a restraint on European military and unification goals. With the UK planning on leaving the EU in just over two years, the EU no longer feels it needs to pay attention to UK restraint.
A “stronger Europe” is one with more military and economic power–and this is prophesied in the Bible (cf. Revelation 13 & 18: Daniel 11:25, 39-43).
As far as subservience goes, the Europeans realize that they have been subservient to the USA as they have depended upon the military of the USA for protection since World War II ended in Western Europe, and then after the fall of the Berlin wall, for protection in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
What is happening is consistent with Bible prophecy. The Bible foretells of a time when Europe, which will have appeared to died, will rise up and become a militarily successful power (Revelation 13:1-4). The Bible foretells of a time when Europe will have a “great army” (Daniel 11:25). And the Bible foretells a time when Europe will not only NOT be subservient to the USA, but will takeover over the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses) and make it and its Anglo-Saxon allies like the UK and Canada subservient (cf. Daniel 8:24-25; see also Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?).
Speaking of matters that are consistent with Bible prophecy and Europe, notice the following:

Having discontinued its production of EUR500 banknotes, it appears Europe is charging towards the utopian dream of a cashless society. Just days after Davos’ elites discussed why the world needs to “get rid of currency,” the European Commission has introduced a proposal enforcing “restrictions on payments in cash.”With Rogoff, Stiglitz, Summers et al. all calling for the end of cash – because only terrorists and drug-dealers need cash (nothing at all to do with totalitarian control over a nation’s wealth) – we are not surprised that this proposal from the European Commission (sanctuary of statism) would appear…
The Commission published on 2 February 2016 a Communication to the Council and the Parliament on an Action Plan to further step up the fight against the financing of terrorism (COM (2016) 50). The Action Plan builds on existing EU rules to adapt to new threats and aims at updating EU policies in line with international standards. In the context of the Commission’s action to extent the scope of the Regulation on the controls of cash entering or leaving the Community, reference is made to the appropriateness to explore the relevance of potential upper limits to cash payments.
The Action Plan states that “Payments in cash are widely used in the financing of terrorist activities… In this context, the relevance of potential upper limits to cash payments could also be explored. Several Member States have in place prohibitions for cash payments above a specific threshold.”
Cash has the important feature of offering anonymity to transactions. Such anonymity may be desired for legitimate reason (e.g. protection of privacy). But, such anonymity can also be misused for money laundering and terrorist financing purposes. As far as cash restrictions go, I have written about this before, and even put together a short video related to the elimination of the 500 euro note and potentially the US $100 bill (watch Eliminate the $100 bill?).
Restrictions on cash are consistent with a biblical end time prophecy related to financial controls of the coming European Beast power:
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)
The “He” in Revelation 13:15 is the “two-horned beast” also known as the final Antichrist. This prophecy in Revelation 13 was written over 1900 years ago, and was not possibly able to be fulfilled until the 21st century. It is not possible to monitor all cash transactions, yet in the 21st century where cash is being replaced by electronic currency that can be fully tracked, it can be fulfilled. More and more in Europe and elsewhere are supporting moves towards going cashless–which means that more and more payments will be electronic, and hence fully traceable.
Currently we see more in Europe calling for closer cooperation, stronger military abilities, and restrictions on cash. These moves are all consistent with Bible prophecy.
To close, let me state that while some COG groups (like LCG) have expressed doubts that France would be part of the rising European Beast power, France was part of the old ‘Holy Roman Empire’ and will, at least for a time, support the European Beast power (see also The ‘Lost Tribe’ of Reuben: France in Prophecy?).
The most famous French-speaker in the Church of God in the 20th and 21st century was the late evangelist Dibar Apartian, who wrote:
a political UNION of TEN nations or governments-which the Bible calls “the beast”-will rise in Europe in the end time. This union of ten European nations will MAKE WAR with the descendants of Jacob, particularly the two sons of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, whose modern descendants are the peoples of the BRITISH COMMONWEALTH and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
This soon-coming union of ten nations or governments prophetically represents the last “head” of the resurrected “beast”-the revival of the “Holy Roman Empire” (Rev. 17 :9- 1 2). But contrary to what you may think, it will NOT consist only of Gentile nations. It will INCLUDE a group of ISRAELITISH nations. “Come out of her , my people,” says God in Revelation 18:4. “My people” means Israelites in Bible prophecy. Yes, once again, Joseph’ s own brothers will sell him to the Gentiles!
Once again REUBEN (the first-born of Jacob who anciently conspired with his brothers, will “act” in terms of saving him, but end · up by compromising with his brothers to send him into CAPTIVITY.
Ever since the early days of American history, the French have been on our side. There exists a brotherly link among all the ISRAELITISH nations. Nevertheless, by uniting politically with the “beast,” some of the modern Israelites will be instrumental in conquering the United States and Great Britain.

Like all nations today, France has turned away from God. Catholic by faith, 9 out of 10 Frenchmen have never read their Bible, nor do they believe that, in its entirety, it represents the WORD OF GOD. What then will happen to France? Will she win the next WAR? She is presently a member of the “Common Market” which is already becoming a POLITICAL union. It will eventually include TEN nations or kingdoms.
Will this union win the third WORLD WAR?
God says that though He will allow it for a short while to conquer the descendants of Joseph (the BRITISH and AMERICAN peoples), He Himself will intervene to deliver His people. At the second coming of Jesus Christ, the TEN KINGS or KINGDOMS-including France-will be of “one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast” (Rev. 17:13).
“These shall make war with the Lamb , (Jesus Christ, and the lamb shall overcome them; for he is LORD of lords, and KING of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful” (Rev. 17:14).
This is the infallible prophecy of the Bible. Unless France wakes up and repents, she and the other nations will fight the Lord at His coming. They will be punished by sword, by famine and pestilence-by the plagues of Almighty God! (Apartian D. Prophecy Reveals the Future of France. Plain Truth, August 1963, p. 22)
What then will be the future of France? What will be her role just before the second coming of Jesus Christ? In the 17th chapter of Revelation, we read of TEN KINGS (or Kingdoms) that will rise in Europe during the last days just prior to Christ’s rerum. The prophecy shows they will war against the British and the American peoples.
“And the ten horns which thou sawest are TEN kings (kingdoms), which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the BEAST” (Rev. 17:12).
France REPRESENTS today one of these 10 Kings. This Union of 10 Kingdoms is already in formation in Europe. In fact, France is at present one of its key members. As this prophecy reveals, this union will receive authority “for one hour” only-that is, a short time-because it is like “iron mixed with miry clay” (Dan. 2:43) …
Ask any average Frenchman what he thinks of his country’s union with Germany. He is utterly puzzled at the idea that economic and political barriers are gradually falling between France and Germany. This union for him is unreal but demanded by the circumstances in which France today finds herself. It is a creation of the leaders of the two nations who blindly believe in its destiny. (Apartian D.
