Hillary Clinton states that she is considering running for president–how could this affect the USA?

In a move that was not unexpected, Hillary Clinton stated that she is considering running for the office of President of the United States:

(Reuters) – Asked again the question on the mind of everyone who follows U.S. politics, Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday she was “thinking” about running for president in 2016.

Appearing at a marketing conference in San Francisco, Clinton, widely considered the Democratic front-runner if she enters the race, was asked by an interviewer: “What’s your plan? Are you going to do it? You can announce it here if you’d like.”

“I’m actually here trying to get some marketing advice,” Clinton quipped, before adding: “I am obviously flattered and deeply honored to have people ask me and people encourage me.

“And I am thinking about it, but I am going to continue to think about it for a while,” she said to cheers from the audience.

“Part of it is because the hard questions are not: ‘Do you want to be president? Can you win?’ The hard questions are why. ‘Why would you want to do this and what can you offer that could make a difference?'” Clinton said in a video of the exchange posted on the Internet

The former first lady and U.S. senator, who was defeated by President Barack Obama in the race for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, said the United States was experiencing a period of political dysfunction.

“I saw it from afar when I was secretary and it was disheartening and even embarrassing to see people arguing about letting us default on our debt, really, and things that were just so beyond the pale,” said Clinton, who served as secretary of state in Obama’s first term.

“You had to ask yourself what kind of country do they really want. .. What is their plan? What is their vision? Will Hillary Clinton win if she runs in 2016?

Perhaps, as the Bible tells of a time that women rule (Isaiah 3:12). Since this has already happened in the Anglo-Saxon nations of the UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, all of which have had female prime ministers, it may be that the USA will have a female president. And in the current political environment (which is subject to change), she seems to have a major chance to become USA president (though US Vice President Joseph Biden indicated that he had interest in that position himself, so there could be opposition in her own party to her).

The truth is that Hillary Clinton often seems well meaning and determined. Americans are so concerned about the economy and how they perceive their personal needs that most do not care that some of the policies that Hillary Clinton has advocated has encouraged other sins in this nation. She is considered to be a hard worker.

Hillary Clinton, despite certain false charges that some have claimed, is not THE Antichrist (see State Senator calls Hillary Clinton the Antichrist).

As far back as 2006 (News of The Churches of God) and 2007 (News of The Churches of God) I also commented about a possible Hillary Clinton presidency, and feel that it remains a strong possibility–though not a certainty.

Ever since Margaret Thatcher was prime minister of the United Kingdom, I have felt that it is likely that the USA would end up with a female president or at least a highly influential woman in a top level federal government job. And Hillary Clinton has been fulfilling the latter for many years herself as a US senator then Secretary of State (as have various female Supreme Court justices, senators, etc.).

A female presidency can partially fulfill a prophecy in Isaiah 3:12:

As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.

Of course, women are influential in the English-speaking nations and it is not absolutely required that the USA itself have a woman president (the USA is soon to end up with a woman as chairman of the Federal Reserve, and there already have been women on the US Supreme Court), but I do feel that if we do get one, that this would be a partial, but significant, fulfillment of that prophecy. And whether she runs or not, she is causing people to err by her positions on homosexual marriage and abortion.

Although Hillary Clinton, of herself, personally will not cause the end of the world, because of her timing and certain immoral positions she has taken steps (cf. Romans 1:18-32), she could contribute to the end of this age. She is another leader that has made statements that will cause the USA to err more (cf. Isaiah 3:12), even if she has some good idea. And those improper moral positions from her will not be good for the United States.
