Increased terror threats in USA, plus Iran considers actions

The USA is concerned about increased terrorism threats:
The head of the FBI is ominously warning there is a rising number of terror threats against the US — and that the biggest concern involves potential lone wolves pulling off Hamas copy-cat attacks here.
Agency chief Christopher Wray, 56, urged law enforcement to be extra cautious about ripple effects from the raging Israeli-Palestinian conflict during an address at the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference in San Diego on Saturday.
“History has been witness to antisemitic and other forms of violent extremism for far too long,” he said, according to an FBI transcript. “We remain committed to continue confronting those threats.

Expansion of hostilities is a concern to the USA and Israel, but Iran may try to intervene:
The U.S. and its allies are ratcheting up efforts to prevent the war between Israel and Hamas from engulfing the wider region, acting on concerns that an invasion of the Gaza Strip by Israeli forces could prompt Iran to enter the conflict.
The U.S. has warned Iran in recent days through back-channel talks about the risks of escalation, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said Sunday on CBS News’s Face the Nation. He said the U.S. couldn’t rule out Iran intervening either directly or via Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based militia group that it sponsors.
Israel’s emergency government has vowed to wipe out Hamas and mobilized 300,000 reservists ahead of a major ground attack. …
Iran, which provides money and weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah, has vowed that its so-called “axis of resistance” will respond to Israel’s “war crimes.” If Israel pursues its invasion of Gaza “no one can guarantee control over the situation and prevent the conflict from spreading,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said in a meeting with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.
Israeli officials say they hope the U.S. deployment of warships to the eastern Mediterranean will deter Iran and its proxies, but they’ve rushed reinforcements to their northern border with Lebanon and Syria all the same. As far as Iran goes, it has made various threats against Israel and the USA in the past.
Some in Iran believe that causing chaos is a necessary step for a leader known as the Imam Mahdi to arise and make the world Islamic–and they hope under Iranian leadership–but Iran is NOT prophesied to lead the Islamic world (cf. Daniel 11:40-43).
Yet, furthermore, consider that Isaiah 22:1-10 shows that a time is coming when God will take away the protection of Judah and the City of David (Jerusalem, cf. 2 Kings 9:28) and that Iran and Syria will be involved in causing that.
It is likely that matter will be a factor in the temporary peace that will come to the Middle East (cf. Daniel 9:27, see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27).
The USA, despite its military strength, is vulnerable to being hurt by terrorist forces as well as EMP weapons as well as nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, dirty bombs, terrorism, and biological weapons that Iran and/or its ally Syria possess. It has been shown in a test that EMPs can basically work as advertised, and this may give the Iranians more reason to look further into using them if they feel pressed.
As far as terrorism goes, it is prophesied to happen to places like the USA:
5 They have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. … 25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:5,25)
12 “Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh. (Ezekiel 21:12)
25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)
6 You have forsaken Me,” says the Lord,
“You have gone backward.
Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;
I am weary of relenting!
7 And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land;
I will bereave them of children;
I will destroy My people,
Since they do not return from their ways.
8 Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas;
I will bring against them,
Against the mother of the young men,
A plunderer at noonday;
I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly. (Jeremiah 15:6-8)
The idea of “terror within” shows terror will occur within the borders, and suggests also that some of the terrorists are residents.
