India poised to pass UK economy post Brexit, but technology will be dominated by Europe
A new study projects India to become the fifth largest economy, passing the the UK:

India will overtake the United Kingdom and France in 2018 to become the world’s fifth-largest economy in terms of the United States dollar, an economics consultancy based in Britain said on Tuesday. The Centre for Economics and Business Research’s 2018 World Economic League Table also said that Asian economies will dominate the list of the top ten largest economies over the next 15 years, Reuters reported.
“Despite temporary setbacks, India’s economy has caught up with that of France and the UK and in 2018 will have overtaken them both to become the world’s fifth largest economy in dollar terms,” said Douglas McWilliams, the executive deputy director of the consultancy. …
China is likely to overtake the US as the world’s largest economy by 2032, the report said. “Because the impact of [US] President Donald Trump on trade has been less severe than expected, the US will retain its global crown [as the world’s largest economy] a year longer than we anticipated in the last report,” the consultancy said.
The consultancy also said that while Britain would lag behind France over the next two years, it will again overtake France in 2020, because the effects of Brexit on the UK’s economy will be less than feared.

Brazil will overtake France and the UK and become the sixth largest economy by 2028.

The World Economic League Table tracks the size of different economies across the globe and projects changes over the next 15 years.
CEBR Deputy Chairman Douglas McWilliams said: “The World Economic League Table shows that despite temporary setbacks from demonetisation and the introduction of the new GST (goods and services tax), India’s economy has still caught up with that of France and the UK and in 2018 will have overtaken them both to become the world’s fifth largest economy in dollar terms.”
Report Oliver Kolodseikeco-author, said: “The interesting trend emerging is that by 2032 five of the ten largest economies will be in Asia while European economies are falling down the ranking and the USA loses its top spot.

India and Brazil will have economic improvements in the coming years.
The USA will lose its top spot.
The UK will become less influential financially.
The end of the Anglo-American dominated era is coming and this will be the final Time of the Gentiles.
But what about Europe?
Well, since the analysis ignored bibical prophecy, it will be wrong about Europe.
It is not that various parts of Asia will not prosper, but Europe will do better, for a time, than is being forecasted.
Now the report was correct that technology will be an important factor over the next decade or so.
Biblically, Europe looks to be the area that will temporarily take the technological lead.
Europe has been working on all kinds of technology. Technology would seem to be the key to a powerful European military, as well as likely its future economic dominance.
The Europeans have plans for technology and plans to benefit from it. Here is some information:
The European Commission’s 2012 policy Communication on the European Research Area (ERA) should lead to a significant improvement in Europe’s research performance to promote growth and job creation. The measures in the Communication will have to be implemented by EU Member States, the Commission and Research Organisations to ensure the completion of ERA by 2014 as called for by the European Council.
To complete ERA and maximise the return on research investment, Europe must increase the efficiency and effectiveness of its public research system. Europe’s military capabilities are set to get a boost when joint defence plans are launched within the next three months.
EU leaders, at a summit in Brussels on Thursday (22 June), endorsed a Franco-German push to get governments to announce whether they will sign up to the new pan-EU defence scheme. …
The initiative is part of an European Commission-led policy drive that, among other things, seeks to use EU funds to finance defence research.
The Commission earlier this month had proposed to add €500 million in 2019 and 2020 for new military development.
Post 2020, the figure increases to some €1.5 billion every year for both research and development of new military technology.
“European defence policy was supposed to start in 1954, we proposed it in 2014, it’s happening now,” said EU commission president Jean-Claude Juncker.
EU council chief Donald Tusk said the plans would allow much deeper integration on defence.
Public money for military industries

Europe is planning on improving its economy and position in the world via technology and research. It is hoping to have all the pieces together by 2020. And despite its flaws, for a short time, the European power will dominate the world per Revelation 13, 17, and 18.

The European Defence Fund has received its first grant from the bloc for a €1million research programme called Pythia.
Named after the Priestess of Ancient Delphi, Pythia will see countries including France and Italy join forces to research cutting-edge military technology. …
Commissioner Elżbieta Bieńkowska said: “Only months after the launch of the European Defence Fund, we are delivering by supporting the first concrete defence research project with EU funding.

As long-term readers of this page are aware, I have written for years that Europe would end up with its own military, and that technology would be a major factor in its military power (see e.g. Large Hadron Collider Successful).
Europe will use technology and Europe will use some of it in ways that the USA will not approve (e.g. Daniel 11:39).
The Bible teaches that the merchants of the world will prosper by trading with the European (Revelation 13) based end-time Babylonian power (Revelation 18).
Now, that will not last forever, and eventually an Asian confederation (Daniel 11:44-45; Jeremiah 50-51) will destroy much of that European power.
But while the Bible tells of Armageddon, the Centre for Economics and Business Research’s 2018 World Economic League Table ignores it.
