USA President Barack Obama is in a difficult situation.  Yet, because of how his Administration has dealt with Sunni Islamists in the past, it is unclear how much he really wants to eliminate their influence.  That being said, mocking his wife Michelle serves no positive purpose here, and could backfire on ISIS.

The reality there is a serious terrorist threat that Iraq and elements of the Sunnis.  The USA has been hit before and will be hit harder in the future.  ISIS has similar objectives to Al-Qaeda as well as the again outlawed Muslim Brotherhood.

BAGHDAD: Sunni militants have seized an Iraqi crossing on the border with Syria after a daylong battle in which they killed some 30 Iraqi troops, security officials said on Saturday.

The ISIS power grab has raised concerns about a wider Sunni-Shiite war in the Middle East.

“They represent a threat to every country in the region,” Secretary of State John Kerry told TODAY in an interview that aired Thursday. “They’re more extreme even than al Qaeda. And they are threatening the United States and Western interests.”…

ISIS is operating more as a traditional insurgency than al Qaeda did, setting up checkpoints and seizing territory and equipment, said Colin P. Clarke, an associate political scientist at the Rand Corp. who has studied insurgency for more than a decade.

A number of Islamic organizations wish to establish a caliphate to include the nations of North Africa and the Middle East.  And while they will not end up with Spain, the reality is that Bible prophecy tells of a time when the nations of North Africa and the Middle East will support a leader that the Bible refers to as the final King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43).

Directly, as well as indirectly, the USA has and will take steps that will result the rise of this power.  This will not end well for the USA nor its Anglo-Saxon descended allies (cf. Psalm 83:2-8).
