Iran, Israel, and Karl Guttenberg?

Iran and Israel have been involved in essentially a cyber war, with occasional sabotage and death, for the past several years.
Both players have threatened destruction of the other.
Both can cause the other serious damage.
How will it end up?
Notice something that the prophet Isaiah was inspired to write:
6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls For the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, Nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago. (Isaiah 22:6-11 NKJV throughout unless otherwise noted)
Elam is a reference to at least some in Iran. The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:
Iranians comprise nearly 70 percent of the country. Iranians, though Islamic, are totally distinct from the neighboring Arab peoples of the Middle East. They are a mixed people of the remnants of Media and Elam and other ancestors of Semitic and Hamitic stock. (Stump K. South Asia in Prophecy. Plain Truth, July/August 1986, p. 5)
As far as the identification of of Kir goes, there are several possibilities. One is that the Bible tells that after Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria took over Damascus, he moved Syrians to Kir. While this does not mean that Kir must (or must only) be a reference to Syria, the fact that Syria is an ally of Iran is interesting. Some believe Kir is an area in the south of Iran, while others suggest closer to the Black Sea. God’s word has the expression “the Syrians from Kir” (Amos 9:7), which is basically confirmation that Kir of Isaiah 22 would include Syrians. The Bible also tells of a time when Kir will be destroyed (Isaiah 15:1b) and also says that Syria’s capital Damascus will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1). Since Syria is Iran’s closest ally, military cooperation between the two of them against Israel looks consistent with the prophecy in Isaiah 22.
In Isaiah 22: 8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel–and the Bible shows that God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that “the damage to the city of David” is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem. Some Jews have declared Jerusalem is their “eternal capital” (e.g. see I365: Jews defiantly ascend Temple Mount), and that position is consistent with damage to happen to Israel.
Further notice that prophecy states that the damage will be great. Also notice part of the reason will be because Israel will not truly look to “its Maker.” Just relying on its own military will not be enough.
I have long believed that we may very well see a regional war as Israel has 1) taken preemptive actions in the past and 2) said it would do so in the future to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear bomb.
Such a regional war could trigger the deal of Daniel 9:27 and trigger the final 3 1/2 year countdown until the start of the Great Tribulation Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:21.
Actual and perceived threats from Israel are likely to trigger Iran (as well as Syria) to attack. and lead to the ‘peace deal’ of Daniel 9:27.
Iran, too, is expected to have devastation (Jeremiah 49:34-39)–and this from multiple nations (cf. Jeremiah 49:37), but perhaps mainly from the nation now called Israel, but with some Arab allies (Israel may unite with nine Arab countries to fight Iran. A regional war will come to the Middle East and it could be relatively soon.
Daniel 9:26-27 states:
26 And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).
In the above, we learn that a deal, called a covenant above, will be confirmed for one prophetic week (seven-years), and then be broken in the middle by one referred to as a “prince.” This is a prince of the group that was also prophesied to destroy the city of Jerusalem as verse 26 points to. This destruction was done by the Roman Empire in 70 A.D. which at the time dominated Europe, and had European soldiers.
Thus, the prince of Daniel 9:26 would need to be a European. Likely one with connection to what was later known as the Holy Roman Empire.
Normally, princes have slight influence, but no major power until they become kings (and most princes do not become kings).
But the above prince later does become a king (cf. Daniel 11:27,31,40).
A leader who was once disgraced is prophesied to be that prince and later king:
21 And there shall stand up in his place one despised, and the kingly honour shall not be given him: and he shall come privately, and shall obtain the kingdom by fraud. (Daniel 11:21, Douay-Rheims)

21 And in his place shall stand up a contemptible person, to whom they had not given the honor of the kingdom: but he shall come in time of security, and shall obtain the kingdom by flatteries. (Daniel 11:21, ASV)
There is a man right now who once held political offices who was rejected and might be considered as a “prince.” Former Economics Minister, and then Defence Minister of Germany. His full name is Barron Karl-Theodor Maria Nikolaus Johann Jacob Philipp Franz Joseph Sylvester Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg.
He is commonly referred to as KT.
Interestingly, KT was considered to have had a major chance to become Chancellor of Germany before a plagiarism scandal in 2011. In a sense, he was “a man spurned and passed over for advancement” as THE MESSAGE version of Daniel 11:21 indicated.

Many wrote Baron Guttenberg off.
Also interestingly, even though many have rejected, ridiculed, and despised him for plagiarism, after the Baron resigned, some have suggested that he should rise up again as Germany needs him. He has a small number of strong, influential, supporters.

The Barron has had previous high-level involvement looking at one or more possible peace deals between Israel and its geographic neighbors (UN Secretary General. The Question of Palestine. The Bible tells of a time when buying and selling will be controlled by the coming 666 Beast power (Revelation 13:16-18)–this is something that will require digital technology. As it turns out, because of roles he has had with the European Union and the cybercurrency Ripple, Baron Guttenberg looks to have the type of technical background that the coming Beast would have.
I have been watching and writing about KT since 2009. Because certain of his actions, what has happened to his career, and the fact that many things I wrote that he could do have been fulfilled (see
Might German Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg become the King of the North?), I have considered him a possible candidate to become the King of the North of biblical prophecy (cf. Daniel 11:40). After a likely war between Iran and Israel, probably involving Syria and others, a peace deal will take place.
Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg looks to be one who could be the prince that confirms the deal for a prophetic week as foretold in Daniel 9:26-27.
Between the time the deal is confirmed, and before it is half-way over, Europe will reorganize into a totalitarian superstate:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
The leader of this superstate will proclaim peace, but devise military plans (Daniel 8:25, 11:23-24), which will be successful (cf. Daniel 11:39-43; Revelation 13:3-5). Prior to this reorganization, this beast leader does not have much power, but with a small group backing him, he will attain it (Daniel 11:23).
When the temporary peace deal is in place, the following prophecy is expected to be fulfilled:
3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3)
People will think it is a time of peace. Yet, it will end up in the time of “birth-pangs” (Mark 13:8, NJB) is also known as the great tribulation (Matthew 24:21).
Getting back to Daniel 9, it points out that although a deal is made, in the middle, it will be over and the sacrifices stopped (and obviously sacrifices must start before they are stopped, so prophecy watchers should see the resumption of regular animal sacrifices in Israel as a sign the start of the great tribulation is not too far off).
As it turns out, the former prince, who is later called a king in Daniel 11, is the one who will stop the sacrifices:
31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. (Daniel 11:31)
Yes, there will come a militaristic European king who will enter Israel.
Could the leader of a coming European superstate be Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg?
KT is a descendant of Leopold II, Holy Roman Emperor in the late 18th century. Furthermore,
Karl-Theodor’s mother, Christiane Gräfin und Edle Herrin von und zu Eltz genannt Faust von Stromberg (now Christiane Henkell-von Ribbentrop), … is also a of the Habsburg-Lothringen imperial family, including Maria Theresa of Austria. Therefore, KT is a Hapsburg descendant.
It should also be understood that he, personally, claims to be Roman Catholic.
Interestingly, the Roman Catholic priest R. Gerald Culleton published Roman Catholic leaders claimed the Great Monarch (or one associated with him) would be:
a descendant of an ancient German family … A Catholic descendant of a German imperial house (Hapsburg?) (Culleton, R. Gerald. The Prophets and Our Times. Nihil Obstat: L. Arvin. Imprimatur: Philip G. Scher, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno, November 15, 1941. Reprint 1974, TAN Books, Rockford (IL), pp. 171,195).
The speculation this would be a Hapsburg/Habsburg came directly from priest Culleton over 80 years ago.
On January 18, 2018, the World Economic Forum published an article titled “The world needs a leader. Europe should step up.” While it will not be as the WEF hopes, a leader will rise up (cf. Revelation 13:1-10; 17:12-13).
Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is one to watch. Either as the one, or one who will support the one who will fill that role.
