Iran says an attack by Trump will have it go nuclear as it moves its missile launchers as a precaution
Nuclear facilities in Iran (Ta2aa)
Iran says it is taking steps, including considering nuclear ones, because of Donald Trump’s recent threats to bomb it:
Iran will have ‘no choice’ but to get nukes if attacked, says Khamenei adviser
1 April 2025
Iran would have to acquire a nuclear weapon if attacked by the United States or its allies, an adviser to the country’s supreme leader warned on Monday, following a threat by US President Donald Trump.
The comments came after Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, promised to hit back if Trump carried out a threat to bomb the Islamic republic if it did not make a deal to curb its nuclear programme.
“We are not moving towards (nuclear) weapons, but if you do something wrong in the Iranian nuclear issue, you will force Iran to move towards that because it has to defend itself,” Khamenei’s adviser Ali Larijani told state TV.
“Iran does not want to do this, but … (it) will have no choice,” he added.
“If at some point you (the US) move towards bombing by yourself or through Israel, you will force Iran to make a different decision.”
Trump said on Saturday “there will be bombing” if Iran did not agree a nuclear deal, according to NBC News, which said he also threatened to punish Tehran with what he called “secondary tariffs”. https://www.france24.com/en/asia-pacific/20250401-iran-will-have-no-choice-but-to-get-nukes-if-attacked-khamenei-adviser-usa-trump-nuclear-weapons-deal-bombing-threats
Michael Snyder posted the following about other steps Iran is currently taking:
The Iranians Load Missiles “Onto Launchers In All Underground Missile Cities” After Trump Threatens Them With “Bombing The Likes Of Which They Have Never Seen Before”
March 31, 2025
The Trump administration is assembling an armada of bombers at a military base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, and meanwhile the Iranians have loaded their missile launchers and are prepared to instantly respond to any attack. In other words, we have never been closer to an apocalyptic war in the Middle East than we are right now. … I am convinced that this could become one of the biggest stories of 2025. Once Iranian ballistic missiles start falling in Israeli cities and on U.S. bases throughout the Middle East, there will be no turning back. Unfortunately, it appears that peace is not likely at this point.
On Sunday, the Tehran Times warned the western world that Iran’s ballistic missiles are “loaded onto launchers in all underground missile cities and are ready for launch”…
The state-controlled Tehran Times reported on X Sunday that Iran’s missiles are “loaded onto launchers in all underground missile cities and are ready for launch.” The newspaper issued a stern warning, stating that any escalation would come “at a heavy cost for the US government and its allies.”
The Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Force also issued a statement warning that any act of aggression against Iran will be met with a “severe response.”
So why have the Iranians made such an alarming move?
Needless to say, it is because they know that they could soon be bombed into oblivion.
I believe that President Trump is not bluffing. In an interview with Kristen Welker of NBC News, he explained that if Iran does not make a deal there “will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before”…
“If they don’t make a deal there will be bombing. It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before,” Trump told NBC News’ Kristen Welker during a phone interview.
I have no doubt that Trump is serious.
And to back up his threat, he has assembled “an air armada of B-2 and B-52 bombers” at a base on the island of Diego Garcia…

March 31, 2025
Iran continues to threaten the United States with military action to dissuade the United States from a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities amid new US threats to strike the nuclear facilities. US President Donald Trump stated on March 30 that “there will be a bombing” if Iran does not make a new nuclear deal.[1] Trump added that he would impose secondary tariffs on Iran if Iran made no progress towards a deal.[2] Secondary tariffs would impose sanctions on countries that trade with Iran. US officials have previously threatened military action against Iran if there were no direct negotiations. …
Iranian officials have recently threatened the following responses to a US-Israeli strike on Iran. These courses of action are not mutually exclusive.
- Attack US bases and forces: Iranian officials have repeatedly explicitly threatened to attack US bases and forces in the region in recent months.[7] An unspecified senior Iranian military official told Western media on March 29 that Iran would target Diego Garcia Island in the Indian Ocean if the United States attacked Iran.[8] The United States has recently increased its military presence at Diego Garcia Island, according to commercially available satellite imagery.[9] An anonymous official also told Tehran Times that Iran’s missile launchers at its underground bases are loaded with missiles and “ready for launch.”[10] Iran’s reported current maximum missile range is 2000 kilometers (km), and its reported maximum drone range is around 2500km.[11] Diego Garcia Island is located about 3700km from Iran’s southernmost city, …
- Disrupt international trade: IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri suggested on March 29 that Iran may close the Strait of Hormuz if the United States and Israel attack Iran.[13] Tangsiri also threatened to seize ships if Iranian ships were seized.
- Conduct a direct attack on Israel: Senior Iranian military commanders have recently resurfaced threats to conduct another missile attack on Israel.[14] Iran unveiled its latest precision-guided ballistic missile called the “Etemad” in February 2025.[15] Iranian media referred to the missile as the “Israeli ballistic missile” because it can reportedly hit key targets across Israel.[16] Iran’s stockpile of medium-range missiles, or missiles that can reach Israel, has been severely depleted following the April and October 2024 Israeli airstrikes on Iran, however.
Iranian officials have publicly stated that they are unwilling to make concessions to reach a new nuclear deal with the United States under President Trump’s desired timeline or terms. https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/iran-update-march-31-2025
We are in a time of wars and rumors of wars (cf. Matthew 24:4-8).
Whether Donald Trump expects to have the USA bomb Iran and/or have Israel do it, there are risks to this.
The Book of Isaiah points to an Iranian confederation causing great damage to Jerusalem (Isaiah 22:6-9)–we are getting closer to the fulfillment of that prophecy.
Such damage may cause Israel to retaliate, and perhaps even dropping one or more nuclear bombs on Iran.
Israel may figure that it has the go-ahead from Donald Trump — especially if Jerusalem is greatly damaged — so it can go all-out to attempt to destroy the Iranian regime.
With that in mind, consider the following Roman Catholic writings:
Abbot Herman of Lehnin (died 1300) Towards the end of the world “Israel will commit a terrible crime for which it will suffer death.” (Culleton, R. Gerald. The Prophets and Our Times. Nihil Obstat: L. Arvin. Imprimatur: Philip G. Scher, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno, November 15, 1941. Reprint 1974, TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 151)
Roman Catholic priest and writer R. Gerald Culleton (20th century): Towards the end of the world the Jews are to commit some atrocious crime for which they will be greatly persecuted … the Great Monarch … This Lion Monarch … together with the Great Pope or Angelic Pastor, shall appear after socialism … (Culleton, pp. 25,27,28,50)
Some have suggested that “after socialism” may mean after communism falls, like it mainly did in the late 20th century. We are getting towards the end of this age right now.
The “atrocious crime” could refer to an attack (possibly nuclear) by Israel or some other Israeli action. Or perhaps a combination of factors.
This could happen in 2025.
That said, a while back, the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following Bible News Prophecy video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel related to Iran and Israel:
Iran and Israel Conflict
European Union foreign policy chief, Josep Borrel, has been brokering the nuclear negotiations involving Iran and said that he thinks the deal is “in danger.” Iran blames the United States, whereas the USA says they are not delaying it. Israeli sources stated that Israel will stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. Joe Biden says the USA would use its own military power to prevent Iran from getting such a bomb if need be. In 2021, Iranian lawmakers have submitted a bill seeking the government by law to commit to Israel’s destruction by the year 2040. Does the 22nd chapter of Isaiah point to damage coming to Israel from Iran and possibly Syria? Might Iran be concerned enough about limited progress with the USA to launch some type of attack? Is Iran the prophesied ‘King of the South’? Is it reasonable to think that the prophesied peace deal of Daniel 9:27 will not happen until after a military conflict. like a regional war? Should Christians watch the Middle East? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie discuss these matters.

We are in a time of wars and rumors of wars as Jesus foretold (Matthew 24:4-8).
Iran is not pleased with Donald Trump and may choose to militarily respond very soon.
