Islamic State terrorist kills 63 at Afghanistan wedding

US President Trump stated that all the territory controlled by the group calling itself the Islamic State (also known as ISIL or ISIS) would be gone by last night. While ISIS lost most territory, it has not yet lost it all:

The Islamic State group’s Afghan branch has claimed responsibility for the wedding bombing in Kabul that killed at least 63 and wounded at least 183.
The victims of the overnight suicide bombing at a packed wedding hall were mostly members of the minority Shi’ite Hazara community.
Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi confirmed the casualty toll in a statement issued early Sunday, saying women and children were among the victims.
The United Nations denounced the wedding hall bombing as an “atrocious” act against Afghan Shi’ites, saying it has documented several previous attacks aimed at the community. “An attack deliberately targeting civilians is an outrage, and deeply troubling, as it can only be described as a cowardly act of terror,” said Tadamichi Yamamoto, the head of the U.N. Assistance mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).
U.S. ambassador to Kabul John Bass in a tweet condemned the carnage as an act of “extreme depravity.”
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani condemned the overnight attack as an “inhumane” act, saying he has summoned an “extraordinary” security meeting to review and prevent such security lapses.
The attack was one of the worst against Afghan civilians in recent years.
The Taliban condemned the bombing. A spokesman for the insurgent group said “such barbaric deliberate attacks against civilians including women and children are forbidden and unjustifiable.”
“Taliban cannot absolve themselves of blame, for they provide platform for terrorists,” Ghani noted in his statement issued Sunday. …

As far as the Taliban goes, one of its terrorists killed close to 100 in Afghanistan last year (see Taliban terrorist kills close to 100 in Afghanistan).
Many terrorists associated with the Islamic State and the Taliban still exist. Some will continue to fight and terrorize. Plus there are Muslims who have used the Islamic State as an excuse for terror, and others will use whatever ‘replacement’ appears as an excuse to continue.
The Islamic State wants war (jihad) and is not unique in that view. It is held by many adherents to Islam.

Jihād in this era is an obligation upon each and every Muslim as numerous lands of the Muslims have been usurped by the kuffār and numerous parties of apostasy have arisen therein. Until all these lands are retaken, cleansed of apostates, and ruled by the Sharī’ah, the obligation does not drop. … Allah said, {And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows} [Al-Anfāl: 60].(The Murtadd Brotherhood. ‘Jihad’ supposedly means ‘holy war.’
Yes, the Islamic State is extreme, yet notice some items from the Qur’an which suggest the Islamic State is practicing written Islam:

The above seems to suggest that you act like ordinary neighbors for a time and then react against them.
The Bible shows that terrorism is prophesied:
14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-17)
12 “Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh. (Ezekiel 21:12)
12 Behold, these are the ungodly,Who are always at ease; They increase in riches…19 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. (Psalms 73:12,19)
25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)

Many terrorists associated with the Islamic State still exist as this wedding bombing shows.
Partially because of the world’s repulsion of the Islamic State, many (including US President Donald Trump) have called for an Islamic Confederation.
The Bible tells of a confederation forming of lands in North Africa and the Middle East that will ally with Egypt:
1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“‘Wail and say,
“Alas for that day!”
3 For the day is near,
the day of the LORD is near-

and all her helpers are crushed.9 “‘On that day messengers will go out from me in ships to frighten Cush out of her complacency. Anguish will take hold of them on the day of Egypt’s doom, for it is sure to come (Ezekiel 30:1-9, NIV).
11 “For thus says the Lord God: ‘The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you. 12 By the swords of the mighty warriors, all of them the most terrible of the nations, I will cause your multitude to fall. They shall plunder the pomp of Egypt, And all its multitude shall be destroyed”. (Ezekiel 32:11-12)
Something along the lines of an Islamic caliphate will form.
The time will come when a temporary peace will be agreed to (Daniel 9:27; see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27). Partially because of this, some will be pleased with having an Islamic caliphate. But this will not end well (cf. Daniel 11:39-43).
The Bible shows that a confederation of predominantly Islamic nations from the Middle East and North Africa will form (Daniel 11:40-43; Ezekiel 30:1-8), perhaps with some current supporters of the Islamic State.
Sadly, the idea of terrorism is still held by various ones with Islam-links.
