The island nation of Jamaica may be planning to drop Queen Elizabeth II as sovereign:
Jamaica to remove ties to monarchy as soon as William and Kate leave, sources say
A journalist is sounding the alarm that Queen Elizabeth could soon be removed as the head of state of Jamaica as local politicians plan to push ahead with turning the country into a republic by August.
Noel Phillips, Good Morning Britain‘s North American correspondent, says he’s heard rumblings that Jamaica will begin to remove their ties to the monarchy as soon as Prince William and Kate Middleton leave the island. …
“They don’t have a problem with the Queen, they have a problem with the institution. They see the British monarchy as an institution that has long oppressed them and they want reparations, they also want an apology, and they feel they’ve been asking for these things for an awful long time and until now there’s been no acknowledgement of their suffering or pain.” …

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s whirlwind Caribbean tour seems set to hit yet another snag, as the government of Jamaica—their next stop—has reportedly “already begun” the process of transitioning the nation from being a member of the Commonwealth to an independent republic. The conscious political uncoupling, according to a report by The Independent, has included the appointment of a “senior figure” within the government to head up the changeover, which will include removing Elizabeth II as Queen of Jamaica. After I posted the above, Reuters reported that the Prime Minister of Jamaica declared he wanted his country independent of the British royalty (https://www.reuters.com/world/jamaica-pm-tells-british-royals-island-nation-wants-be-independent-2022-03-23/).
If Jamaica does this, it will basically be following the lead of Barbados that left last November (see Barbados becomes a republic and drops the British crown).
The old British empire was the largest empire in human history:
In 1913, 412 million people lived under the control of the British Empire, 23 percent of the world’s population at that time. It remains the largest empire in human history and at the peak of its power in 1920, it covered an astonishing 13.71 million square miles – that’s close to a quarter of the world’s land area. (McCarthy N. The Biggest Empires In Human History. Statista, December 19, 2019).
We believe that this happened because of promises God gave to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the sons of Joseph.
Notice:
11 And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your offspring!”
13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him. 14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn. 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said:
“God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day, 16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them

16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth…19 “… He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” 20 So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will bless, saying, ‘May God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’ ”
21 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.” (Genesis 48:11-16,19-22).
It should also be mentioned that since Jacob’s name was changed to Israel (Genesis 32:28), that in the first statement above he is clearly indicating that biblically one or both of the sons of Joseph could be referred to by the name Israel. And although Manasseh (some of whose descendants came to what became the USA) was born first, God had Jacob give the “right hand” blessing to Ephraim (Genesis 48:13-14) and God later declared, “Ephraim is my firstborn” (Jeremiah 31:9). This may be why Ephraim (which represents the British-descended peoples) emerged as a major power before the USA (and of course it lost its position as the top international power). Notice that Ephraim was promised to become a multitude of nations–this was fulfilled by the old British Empire–and even currently there are the ethnically British-dominated nations of the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
Notice also that in Genesis 48, Israel said that the sons of Joseph would get more than the brothers. And while that had ancient application, it also may be part of why we have seen the past couple of centuries with British-American dominance of the world.
We in the Church of God have also been teaching for decades that the United Kingdom and USA would ultimately lose influence as well as many of their sea gates. Notice the following from 1979:
Where do we find the United States and the British mentioned in the Biblical prophecies, yes, where? If you’ll think this through, listen.
We are the wealthiest of nations. We have been the most powerful. We and the British are the same family of peoples. Together we possess more than two-thirds of all the wealth and the developed resources of this whole world, of this whole round earth on which we live. …
But, my friends, already the British are on the way down. Since World War II, the British have lost a great deal of their power. They are losing their colonies, their foreign possessions which brought them their wealth. And the United States at this moment is having its great strength and its power sapped. …
Never on the face of the earth has there been a nation of such wealth and such great power as the United States and the British have had during this century.
Now, why? How did all that happen? … the United States and the British Commonwealth are not ignored in Biblical prophecy. …
Joseph was given a double portion and his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh each became a tribe; and so, rather, you usually read of the tribe of Ephraim and the tribe of Manasseh although the name Joseph is occasionally used but there it includes the two tribes.

We in the CCOG believe the Anglo-American peoples gained possession of land and wealth because of blessings from God and would lose them because of blatant disobedience.
Notice a couple of prophetic warnings that are consistent with that:
58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues — great and prolonged plagues — and serious and prolonged sicknesses. 60 Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God. 63 And it shall be, that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess. (Deuteronomy 28:58-63)
24 ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. (Leviticus 18:24-29)
23 ‘And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. (Leviticus 26:23-25)
So, those that were promised blessings were also told that they would be subject to losing those blessings if they disobeyed God. As far as being plucked from the land, see Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?
Also consider that for many years, the major sea gates of the world were possessed/controlled by the United States (Panama Canal and certain locations in the Pacific ocean; watch also The Panama Canal and its Impact on Biblical Prophecy) and the British Empire (Straits of Malacca, Singapore, Suez Canal, Bab el Mandeb, Strait of Hormuz, Simon’s Town/Cape of Good Hope, Malta, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, etc.). And while that is no longer the case for many of them, they seem to have been prophesied to be taken away for disobedience as well (c.f. Deuteronomy 28:52)—and certainly these nations have disobeyed the God of Abraham, as well as actually have lost many of those gates. Thus, it seems logical to conclude that the remaining “sea gates” that the UK has such as Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands will be separated from UK control. Spain directly, or perhaps, through the EU (or some other European confederation) indirectly, will force out British control over Gibraltar. As an island, Barbados, in a sense, is another sea gate loss (though not as strategically significant as many of the others).
The fact of the losses so far of many of the Anglo-American sea gates should show us that various curses have began to hit the Anglo-nations. More will as well until the Anglo nations (including the USA) will be no more.
