A new poll shows Kamala Harris pulling ahead of Donald Trump:

Exclusive-Harris leads Trump 44% to 42% in US presidential race, Reuters/Ipsos poll finds

-Vice President Kamala Harris opened up a marginal two-percentage-point lead over Republican Donald Trump after President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign and passed the torch to her, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

That compares with a marginal two-point deficit Biden faced against Trump in last week’s poll before his Sunday exit from the race.

The new poll, conducted on Monday and Tuesday, followed both the Republican National Convention where Trump on Thursday formally accepted the nomination and Biden’s announcement on Sunday he was leaving the race and endorsing Harris.

Harris, whose campaign says she has secured the Democratic nomination, led Trump 44% to 42% in the national poll, a difference within the 3-percentage-point margin of error.

Harris and Trump were tied at 44% in a July 15-16 poll, and Trump led by one percentage point in a July 1-2 poll, both within the same margin of error. https://www.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-harris-leads-trump-44-173532389.html

However, such a “bump” in her polling numbers was expected.

For all of the enthusiasm and cash Vice President Kamala Harris‘ campaign is generating for Democrats, her true tests are about to begin.

Why it matters: To beat Donald Trump, Harris will have to overcome President Biden‘s polling deficits — and questions about how well she’ll fare with working-class voters in the crucial “Blue Wall” swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

The Californian likely will need to win all three without “Scranton Joe” — the monicker Biden used to remind Pennsylvania voters of his working-class roots when he won the presidency in 2020.

Early national polls suggest Harris’ entry has given Democrats a bump in a tight race, but the presidential election is a state-by-state contest.

Harris appears to be energizing many young and minority voters. A big question is whether she also can maintain Biden’s recent success among older voters — and stem Democrats’ losses among groups such as Latino men and whites who didn’t go to college.

In a strategy memo released early Wednesday, Harris’ campaign argues she can. She aims to do so partly by focusing on women’s reproductive rights and contrasting Trump’s legal problems with her history as a prosecutor. …

The bottom line: Tharon Johnson, a Georgia-based Democratic strategist, said the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign was successful because of its broad coalition of voters.

Now that Joe Biden has dropped out of the race and Kamala Harris has become the presumptive nominee, there is one really big question that we all need to ask.

Could it be possible that this was their plan all along?

Consider the following facts…

#1 If Joe Biden had announced that he was not running prior to the primaries, Kamala Harris never would have had enough support to become the nominee. There are five or six prominent Democrats that would have absolutely trounced her.

#2 Throughout the first half of 2024, relentless efforts were made to convince everyone that Joe Biden was physically fit and mentally sharp. Were they trying to prop him up just long enough to secure the nomination?

#3 Democrats pushed for a very early presidential debate. Personally, I thought that it was very strange that one would be held in June. When Joe Biden failed miserably, this gave them the perfect opportunity to remove him.

#4 Within hours of the announcement that Biden had dropped out, Kamala Harris already had endorsements from most of the top figures in the party and she was already the presumptive nominee. I do not think that this was Joe Biden’s plan all along, but it may have been the plan of some Democratic party leaders.

That said, I saw Kamala Harris on the news a night or two ago warning people that Donald Trump lies a lot.

That is true, he does.

But what about Kamala Harris?

I saw the following from a ‘fact checking’ group called PolitiFact:

If you look at the chart at the link above, you will see it shows that Kamala Harris told the truth 5% of the time she was “fact checked,” and that 18% of what she said was also mostly true.

Let’s look at some of what the scriptures teach are to be traits of godly leaders:

19 Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. 20 And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do. 21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. (Exodus 18:19-21)

2 “The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me,
And His word was on my tongue.
3 The God of Israel said,
The Rock of Israel spoke to me:
‘He who rules over men must be just,
Ruling in the fear of God. (2 Samuel 23:2-3)

Neither Kamala Harris nor Donald Trump are leaders who could be called “men of truth,” nor do they truly endorse God’s laws and statutes, nor do they rule in the fear of the true God. Hence they are not people that Christians should endorse.

Voting for Kamala Harris or voting in other Democrats (still a possibility) will not stop the decline of the USA, nor will voting for Donald Trump or Republicans, etc.

The Bible warns:

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil (Isaiah 5:20).

2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil (Exodus 23:2)

The “lesser of two evils” is still evil.

In the case of Kamala Harris, the following prophecies come to mind:

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower (Deuteronomy 28:43).

12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

And while the last one above also applies to Donald Trump, all three apply to Kamala Harris.

If the deal of Daniel 9:27 becomes confirmed this Fall and Kamala Harris does become President of the United States, she will have won the last regular presidential election.

If the following biblical prophecy has an end-time fulfillment, it seems to suggest that a male leader will be in charge when the USA falls as the USA is prophetic Samaria:

⁷ As for Samaria, her king is cut off Like a twig on the water. ⁸ Also the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, Shall be destroyed. The thorn and thistle shall grow on their altars; They shall say to the mountains, “Cover us!” And to the hills, “Fall on us!” … ¹⁰ When it is My desire, I will chasten them. Peoples shall be gathered against them When I bind them for their two transgressions. (Hosea 10:7,8,10)

If Hosea 10:7-10 has end-time connotations (and part of it seems to, cf. Revelation 6:16), AND presuming that the Hebrew word translated as “king” literally means a male, then it suggests that a male would be the last President/leader of the United States. Hence, should Kamala Harris become president, she would be expected to die/be replaced, again presuming the deal of Daniel 9:27 is confirmed this year, she actually wins the election, and Hosea 10 means a male leader.

What should a Christian do?

Jesus said to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33) and to pray for God’s kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).

As far as political leaders go, the Apostle Paul wrote:

1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior (1 Timothy 2:1-3).

Notice that we are to pray for worldly leaders and those that have authority over us so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life. Nothing like this is said for voting that many falsely claim is their “Christian” duty–prayer for leaders is.

Should Christians Vote in 2024?

There are elections in over 50 nations scheduled for 2024. How old is democracy? Does the Bible sanction it? Do people often act like they want to be deceived?
