A reader tipped me off to an apparently very recent role for Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg (places like Wikipedia do not list it yet).
And according to the website of Augustus Intelligence, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is its “President in charge of General Affairs” (https://augustusai.com/imprint.html). Here is some information from two of its other webpages:

Trust in AI? So, the company that Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is now listed as president of, wants people to trust in Artificial Intelligence as it also pushes its use.

Former German Economic & Technology Minister as well as former Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg spoke at the Hub Conference in Berlin and gave a presentation titled “Wish List or Reality? Digital Trends in 2016.” Dr. Thiel shows portions of the presentation and comments on his presentation related to Bible prophecy and Baron Guttenberg’s background. What is the future for Europe?

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg also has been involved in the digital money, as a consultant to Ripple. We made a sermonette video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel about that:
American Express just announced a deal with Ripple related to using its blockchain technology. No longer confined to Bitcoin, blockchain technology is moving towards the mainstream. Former German Economic and later Defense Minister, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has long been an adviser to Ripple and has plans for internationally-expanding the use of blockchain money. Jim Rickards, Doug Casey, and others have expressed concerns that blockchain money will give governments too much control over buying and selling. Could any of this be related to biblical prophecies in the Books of Daniel and Revelation? Could any of this help fulfill the prophecies related to buying and selling and 666 in Revelation 13? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.

Billionaire Elon Musk declared he was worried that artificial intelligence (AI) may lead to the rise of an “immortal dictator,” a “godlike” entity that could take over the world. Is this accurate, or at least, close in some ways? Does Bible prophecy foretell of the rise of an immoral leader who considers himself above all gods? Will this result in great destruction? What is AI? How might it fit in with various prophecies? Was the increase in technological knowledge we now have prophesied over 2000 years ago? Will 666 control over buying and selling involve any form of AI? Dr. Thiel goes over many scriptures, including prophetic ones, that involve human knowledge–which is the basis of AI. He also points out that when various prophesies were made, there was no technology capable of fulfilling them, but that because of computers, such ability exists now. Dr. Thiel also points out what Jesus will do about it.

Yes, the Beast power will use some type of AI. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is now president of a firm heavily involved in it.
The Bible itself warns that a “prince” (Daniel 9:26-27) will become the “King of the North” (Daniel 11:31-40). So, since the Baron is a Habsburg descendant, he could well be considered as a prince, in a sense (but he is not generally officially considered to be royalty like a prince would be). And perhaps, he will only remain a prince. While is is not ruling over Europe at this time, he is influential there and seems to be taking steps related to European politics. He may well rise much further in time, with just a small number of supporters initially (cf. Daniel 11:23).
As regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I have been covering Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg since late 2009 (see also Might German Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg become the King of the North?).
Here are eleven speculative predictions that Baron Guttenberg fulfilled after I posted and/or wrote about them:
- He has advocated more European military cooperation.
- He became unpopular for a time (and still is among many).
- He ended up, for a time, outside of political office.
- He went out of the limelight for a while.
- He went into exile (self-imposed).
- His exile was to a humid location.
- People laughed at him.
- He has partially re-emerged in European politics.
- He has called for Germany to consider being a leader in data protection.
- He now has a beard.
- His involvement with Ripple, blockchain, and AI could be setting him up to fulfill Revelation 13:15-18.
Now just because he at least partially fulfilled those does not prove that he must be the final King of the North. But they certainly give me reason, combined with biblical and other prophetic sources to consider that he could fulfill that role or at least aid the one who will have it.
Yet, he is a charismatic leader that yields a lot of influence in Germany, and also some in the European Union.
He is one to watch as he could be a factor in the rise of the European King of the North Beast power, even if he is not that individual himself.
