Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir vows full control over Temple Mount; HRW blames Israel for crime of apartheid

Freshmen Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir (Religious Zionism) was recently sworn into the Israeli parliament on Monday.

During his opening speech, Ben Gvir lamented the hesitancy of the Israeli government to assert full sovereignty over Jerusalem and more specifically; the Temple Mount saying: “I will act to ensure that Israeli control returns to Jerusalem and to the Temple Mount specifically.”

Ben Gvir connected his promise to the recent Muslim-instigated riots throughout Jerusalem that have taken place since the beginning of Ramadan saying: “So that images we saw the other day, of thugs beating police officers and shouting Hamas Hamas! while proclaiming ‘we are the owners – These images will not be heard nor seen.” https://www.israel365news.com/189808/new-lawmaker-vows-full-israeli-control-over-temple-mount/

Religious Jews have wanted control over the Temple Mount and have been disappointed, that although it was captured by Israel in 1967, it is under Islamic control because of a deal that the Israeli government made with the Jordanians.

That being said, I have warned for over a decade that the political situation in Israel would change, and some from a minority religious party would be a factor in that change, and Itamar Ben Gvir’s words confirm that principle. Yes, the situation in Israel will change as it must happen for certain biblical prophecies to be fulfilled.

It should be pointed out that religious Jews also blame the Israeli government for not allowing sacrifices, as the following helps demonstrate:

Blame is on the Government

Rabbi Hillel Weiss, the former spokesman for the Sanhedrin, emphasized that a Temple structure is not needed in order to bring the Passover sacrifice and a temporary altar that can be assembled and disassembled in one day would suffice. …

The current reason that animal sacrifices are not allowed on the Temple Mount itself is political. The Israeli courts have ruled that they can be performed, but because of the current tensions with the Muslims, they cannot be performed on what is called the Temple Mount.

Religious Jews want those sacrifices, and some type of daily sacrifices will be re-implemented according to Bible prophecies such as Daniel 9:27, 11:31, and 12:11.

That being said, notice the following Roman Catholic writings:

Perhaps “after socialism” may mean after communism falls, like it mainly did in the late 20th century. True Church of God Christians with “Jewish practices,” who could be considered a type of “Anti-Christ” by Greco-Romans (see Do Certain Catholic Prophecies About Antichrist Warn Against Jesus? ), are to be greatly persecuted around the time of the Great Catholic “Lion” Monarch (see Persecutions by Church and State). The “atrocious crime” could refer to the “crime” of pointing out that the modern Roman Catholics are not the faithful representatives of true apostolic Christianity and that their apparent Great Monarch represents not the solution, but the ten-horned beast of Revelation. Or maybe it refers to the Jews re-instituting sacrifices. Or some Israeli attack or other action. Or perhaps a combination of factors.

Either way, the King of the North is prophesied to stop animal sacrifices per Daniel 9:27 and 11:31. He may very well state that he is stopping international ‘crime’ by causing animal sacrifices to cease–despite having many other motives.

Back in 2009, I warned that the prophesied “starting of sacrifices in Israel might be perceived as the terrible crime” (2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect, p. 302) that the King of the North may point to as a reason to stop them as is taught in Daniel 11:31.

That being said, Israel is now being accused of a ‘crime’ called apartheid:

In a report published Tuesday, Human Rights Watch (HRW) accused Israel of pursuing policies of apartheid and persecution against Palestinians.

Omar Shakir, the watchdog’s Israel and Palestine director, said the report was “the starkest finding HRW has reached on Israeli conduct in 30 years.”

The 213-page document alleges that Israel is committing the crime of “apartheid” by seeking to maintain Jewish domination over Palestinians and its Arab population.

Israel adamantly rejects that characterization, saying its Arab minority enjoys full civil rights. Yes, there is a difference between how the Israelis treat Palestinians and Jews.

Tensions are rising, but the situation in Israel will change.

The religious Jews, for a time, will get some of what they want.

Yet, ultimately, the Israelis will not care for the changes that will come (cf. Isaiah 22:6-8; Daniel 9:27, 11:31, and 12:11).
