New results from the world’s largest particle accelerator illuminate the structure of the pentaquark, an exotic particle consisting of five quarks bound together.

It appears, in fact, that researchers observed a baryon bound to a meson, forming a weird new kind of unearthly molecule. …
By the Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, there’s a relationship between how well you can measure the energy of a particle and how well you can measure the amount of time it takes for the particle to decay. If the particle were to decay quickly, the researchers wouldn’t have been able to get the skinny peaks they observed. The theory that a pentaquark is actually a three-quark particle and a two-quark particle bound together would explain these long lifetimes.
Under this theory, it’s almost like a pair of exotic particles are bound together in some sort of strange molecule that could only exist at the energies created in the LHC. BERLIN—A new kind of subatomic particle called the pentaquark has been detected for the first time, the European Organization for Nuclear Research said Tuesday.The lab, known by its French acronym CERN, said the findings were made by a team of scientists working on one of the four experiments at its Large Hadron Collider. Their results have been submitted to the journal Physical Review Letters.
The existence of pentaquarks was first proposed in the 1960s by American physicists Murray Gell-Mann and Georg Zweig. Gell-Mann, who coined the term “quark,” received the Nobel Prize in 1969.
Guy Wilkinson, a spokesman for the LHCb experiment team, said studying pentaquarks may help scientists to better understand “how ordinary matter, the protons and neutrons from which we’re all made, is constituted.”
“This seems to be [a] very significant observation,” said Anton Andronic, a physicist based at the Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany, who wasn’t involved in the LHCb experiment. “But like any discovery it will have to be confirmed by an independent measurement.”
Previous claims to the detection of pentaquarks have been refuted.
The discovery, if verified, would be the second major find at the Large Hadron Collider, which is used by physicists from around the world. The collider was instrumental in the discovery of the Higgs boson, a subatomic particle that had long been theorized but never confirmed until 2013.
The collider is housed in a 27-kilometer (16.8-mile) tunnel beneath the Swiss-French border near Geneva. It was recently given a $150 million upgrade that allows atoms to be smashed together with even greater force.

A pentaquark is a subatomic particle normally consisting of four quarks and one antiquark bound together. A quark is an elementary particle and a fundamental constituent of matter. Quarks combine to form composite particles called hadrons, the most stable of which are protons and neutrons, the components of the nucleus of an atom. An antiquark differs from the quark only in that some of its properties have equal magnitude but opposite sign. As with antimatter in general, antiquarks have the same mass, mean lifetime, and spin as their respective quarks, but the electric charge and other charges have the opposite sign. Basically an antiquark can neutralize some effects of a quark.
It is possible that learning more about pentaquarks will affect understanding on how substances hold together, and probably conversely, how they can come apart. While it is believed that the “unearthly molecule” discovery will mainly have laboratory ramifications, its nuclear bonding suggests that there is a chance it could have military applications, once better understood.
As far as military applications go, this European LHC project has been heavily focused on various small particles and subatomic items, including antimatter. When the Large Hadron Collider was in its infancy, many scientists doubted that antimatter could be produced and captured. But the LHC disproved that as it was able to produce and store antimatter.
As far as antimatter goes, here are some comments from NASA:
Antimatter is real stuff, not just science fiction. Antimatter is firmly in the realm of science with some aspects even entering the technology realm. There is also a lot of speculation about what one might do with antimatter.
What is Antimatter?
Antimatter is matter with its electrical charge reversed. Anti-electrons, called “positrons,” are like an electron but with a positive charge. Antiprotons are like protons with a negative charge. Positron, antiprotons and other antiparticles can be routinely created at particle accelerator labs, such as CERN in Europe, and can even be trapped and stored for days or weeks at a time. And… they made antihydrogen for the first time. It didn’t last long, but they did it.
It costs far more energy to create antimatter than the energy one could get back from an antimatter reaction. … Something to keep in mind, too, is that antimatter reactions – where antimatter and normal matter collide and release energy, require the same safety precautions as needed with nuclear reactions. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/glenn/technology/warp/antistat.html
Notice that NASA acknowledges that CERN with its LHC has produced and stored antimatter, that antimatter collection is expensive, and that antimatter is dangerous. And it is something that Europe has decided to continue to research and produce.

Now if the Large Hadron Collider does have military potential, which I have long indicated that it does, all should understand that it is likely that the Europeans and not the Americans will benefit from it. That will probably also include items related to its claimed find of pentaquarks.
Historically, humans have seen that large physics projects tend to produce military weaponry.
The power in Europe is starting to rise up. And yes, ultimately, what is likely to come from Europe’s Large Hadron Collider and/or Germany’s FAIR collider (which is something else that is happening there), will be used as part of an attack on American (USA and possibly Canadian) forces. Additionally, I believe that Europe’s Galileo or similar technology (Galileo is an upcoming competitor to GPS that the USA has said it will partially rely on for its own military needs; see also Europe’s Galileo ‘GPS’ Hits Another Milestone and USA GPS and EU Galileo linking was expected) will help the Europeans when that happens as well as to help prevent counter-strikes by the USA.
The world order is changing, European technology is rising, and the USA will not be able to remain on top indefinitely.
Some wish to believe otherwise, but the USA’s debt, immorality, and budget issues will help insure that. The USA has also decided it needs to trust the Europeans, while at the same time it realizes that it cannot maintain the massive military advantage it has held for so long. This will result in disaster for the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies.
The progress of the Large Hadron Collider is a strong proof that Europe is advancing its technologies. Technologies that I believe it will ultimately use to eliminate the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies (cf. Revelation 13:4; Daniel 11:39).
Scientists are excited about the pentaquark and other particle discoveries, but those in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand should also be concerned about the ramifications of what will come from some of the technologies developed from information from the Large Hadron Collider.
