Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s former adviser, has been stirring up a populist far-right movement across Europe. But France’s Marine Le Pen, in a joint press conference with Italy’s Mateo Salvini on Monday rejected Bannon’s efforts, saying that he was “not European”.
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen distanced herself Monday from US President Donald Trump’s former advisor Steve Bannon, saying it was not up to an American to “save Europe”.
Bannon has been increasingly visible in Europe in recent months, touting plans for a Brussels-based foundation called “The Movement” to spark a populist right-wing revolt across the region.
“Bannon is not European. Bannon has announced plans to set up a think tank called The Movement in Brussels to boost right-wing parties across the continent. Steve Bannon was a former chief strategist to US President Donald Trump and he has been hoping to try to whip up support to breakup the European Union.
This was unexpected by many as various ones have indicated (including Marine Le Pen) that Steve Bannon shared the goals that people like Marine Le Pen and Matteo Salvini had.
Basically, it looks like Marine Le Pen has betrayed a friend.
I believe that Marine Le Pen’s comments reflect a growing anti-Americanism in Europe, partially stirred up by European distaste for US President Donald Trump.

Steve Bannon is on the warpath — in Europe. US president Donald Trump’s former chief strategist is a hard-right advocate of a hard Brexit. Now his ambitions extend further. He wants to dismantle, destroy and bury the EU. Mr Bannon, 64, co-founder of the alt-right website Breitbart News, is setting up a Brussels-based political vehicle called The Movement. Its purpose is to rally assorted rightwing populist and far-right nationalist parties in the campaign for next year’s European Parliament elections, to be held on May 23-26. Bannon’s goal is to create a hub where the populist right can receive help with polling, research, voter targeting, policy proposals, and field operations among other efforts to help unite European populist groups.

“The Movement” — that is the name of the radical right-wing operations center American nationalist Steve Bannon wants to plant in the heart of Europe, in Brussels. “The Movement” of all things! This cannot be a coincidence for the cunning chief strategist of anti-liberalism. Alarm bells should ring for Germans in particular, but for all other European citizens as well.
Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini called their fascist organizations “movements,” after peoples’ movements in Germany, Austria and Hungary in the second half of the 19th century. Hitler’s “movement” brought misery, suffering and death to millions. …
Bannon, for his part, has spun a dense network in Europe. He met and charmed the leaders of the right-wing scene — from Alice Weidel, co-leader of the AfD, to Marine Le Pen, right-wing figurehead in France, and the right-wing radical interior minister of Italy, Matteo Salvini. …

Various ones believe that the EU is “under siege from English-speaking rightists,” Brexiters, Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, and others. They are concerned that English-speakers are threatening the very existence of the European Union. They are also comparing Steve Bannon’s movement to Adolf Hitler’s. Steve Bannon reportedly planned to spend about 50% of his time in Europe, mainly traveling around to promote the Movement.
Now, even Marine Le Pen and Matteo Salvini want to distance themselves from what Steve Bannon is doing.
The Europeans are mad at the USA for many reasons (including its President Trump), the UK for the Brexit vote, and will decide that places like Canada are too connected to them to remain independent.
The Bible clearly shows that Europe will become a warring power (Daniel 11:39-44), led by someone even worse than Adolf Hitler (cf. Daniel 11:29-38). It also shows that the success of the European Beast, King of the North, power will cause the world to marvel as well as defeat the strongest military power:
3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)
39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)
The Beast of Revelation 13 and the “he” of Daniel 11:39 is a European leader, also called the King of the North in Daniel 11:40. Notice that Daniel 11:39 states that the strongest military power–which currently is the USA (and to a lessor degree, its Anglo-Saxon descended allies)–will be taken over.
The USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies will be defeated (Daniel 8:24-25; 11:39; Isaiah 17:3; Jeremiah 30:7).
Did you know that Roman and Eastern Orthodox Catholic prophecies also tell of a time when a European leader will defeat the English-speakers?
Many of the older Roman Catholic prophecies that mention the English were written before that area actually was called England (and of course, if any apply to the USA, Canada, Australia, and/or New Zealand, they were not formed as we now understand them until several centuries after some of the Roman Catholic prophecies were first written). Hence, these are errors, changes, and/or distortions in translations (probably often just a “modernized” translation of some form of the word “Anglo”). Yet, many of these private prophecies are believed to be intended to somehow refer to the British-descended peoples.
While the Bible warns against the coming European King of the North Beast power, many Catholic prophecies look forward to this leader, under the name of The Great Monarch.
Here are some more Catholic prophecies related to this Great Monarch and the ‘English’:
Werdin d’ Otrante (13th century): “The Great Monarch and the Great Pope will precede Antichrist…All the sects will vanish. The capital of the world will fall…The Great Monarch will come and restore peace and the Pope will share in the victory.” (Connor, Edward. Prophecy for Today. Imprimatur + A.J. Willinger, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno; Reprint: Tan Books and Publishers, Rockford (IL), 1984, p. 33).
Saint Cataldus of Tarentino (c. 500): “The Great Monarch will be in war till he is forty years of age …. he will assemble great armies and expel tyrants from his empire. He will conquer England and other island empires” (Connor, p.30).
St. Columbine (d. 597): The enemies of the English shall be aroused in battle–they who reside in the eastern and western parts of the world … the English shall be defeated … After the English shall be defeated in this battle, they shall be harassed by every quarter; like a fawn surrounded by a pack of voracious hounds, shall be the position of the English amidst their enemies. The English afterwards shall dwindle down to a disreputable people (Culleton, R. Gerald. The Prophets and Our Times. Nihil Obstat: L. Arvin. Imprimatur: Philip G. Scher, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno, November 15, 1941. Reprint 1974, TAN Books, Rockford (IL), pp. 131,132).
Note: it is possible that the “capital of the world” above being referred to is Washington D.C. or the United States of America. Also note that England was not known by that name in the 500s, hence the prophecy that mentions it would have used a different term in its original language that the Catholic translator apparently has concluded is modern England or those who are/speak English.
Continuing with a Catholic anti-English prophecy:
Mother Shipton (d. 1551) “The time will come when England shall tremble and quake … London shall be destroyed forever after . . . and then York shall be London and the Kingdom governed by three Lords appointed by a Royal Great monarch … who will set England right and drive out heresy (Culleton, p. 163).
Now notice and an anti-American one:
The 1854 Prophecy of World War III
In the prophecy of Zachary — the Armenian Jew who converted to the Catholic Faith — published in 1854 was the edited text of the prophecy of the revelations that he received from God. A Father Fattecelli compiled the prophecies and published them in a book called Day of Anger: The Hand of God Upon an Empire. … the empire that will use great guile and deception …
And then there would be the war that the prophecy refers to as “the struggle of the strong against the strong”. This empire of the north … will go to war against North America. And this Nineteenth Century text says they will fire their mis – siles on North America and North America will fall and be conquered and brought into bondage. The next phrase is the most frightful thing of all. It is then that Zachary says in this text published in 1854, “and then the whole world fell under the dominion of the first-born of hell.” (Originally by Priest Fattecelli, Day of Anger: The Hand of God Upon an Empire, 1854, as paraphrased by Priest P. Kramer, What are the missing contents of the third secret? Fatima Crusader, 95, Summer 2010, pp. 45-46).
The ’empire of the north’ sounds like the European King of the North of Daniel 11 to me (P. Kramer felt it was Russia and China). The Bible clearly shows a European leader will use deception (Daniel 8:19,23-26; 11:21-24) to gain power. And that leader will start what could be called WWIII. Since Zachary is discussing the dominion of the first born son of perdition (cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12), the above is clearly teaching that this would happen at the start of the Great Tribulation. This is consistent with the understanding of the Continuing Church of God on these matters (though we do not believe that God inspired this Zachary).
The late Radio/Worldwide Church of God Pastor General, Herbert W. Armstrong, made it clear in his later years that he believed that the King of the North (the one mentioned in Daniel 11:40-41 which is the same one who places the abomination mentioned in Daniel 11:31, where the 1290 days starts) would destroy the British and American peoples with missiles. Notice some of what he wrote about that in 1979:
The indication is the armies of the “beast” of Revelation 17, entering Jerusalem (Dan 11:41, Zech. 14:2), will stop this “daily sacrifice”…And the abomination that maketh desolate set up.” What is this abomination? This refers to Daniel 11:31 and Matthew 24:15…From this time (Daniel 12:11) to Christ’s coming will be 1290 days. Now, verse 12, “Blessed is he that waiteth, and comes to the 1335 days.” Never before have we understood these periods of 1260, 1290. and 1335 days. But it seems evident, now, a blessing is pronounced on us–GOD”S CHURCH–who wait and endure until the 1335 days–approximately 1335 days prior to Christ’s coming… We shall then be warned, and readied to be taken to a place of refuge and safety from the Great Tribulation. Forty-five days later “the beast’s armies” will surround Jerusalem. Thirty days later the Great Tribulation will probably start with a nuclear attack on London and Britain–and possibly the same day or immediately after, on the United States and Canadian cities. The GREAT TRIBULATION, we shall fully then realize, is the time of “Jacob’s Trouble,” spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. And Jacob’s name was named on Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:16). At that time a third of the people in our nations will die, or shall have died, by famine and disease epidemics; another third will dies of the war–our cities being destroyed (Ezek. 6:6), and the remaining third will be carried to the land of our enemies as slaves (Ezek. 5:12). Here are some Catholic writings that tie in with France (the first of which is timing related):
Telesphorus of Cozensa (16th century). “A powerful French Monarch and French Pope will regain the Holy Land after terrible wars in Europe. They will convert the world and bring universal peace …” (Dupont, p. 31).
Priest Nectou (d. 1772): … when England shall begin to wane in power, the destruction of Paris shall be at hand. This shall be a sign. England shall, in her turn, suffer a more frightful revolution than that of France (Culleton, p. 176).
Various Catholic prophecies suggest problems for France/Paris before the Great Monarch gains power. The Bible does not make a clear statement on that–but it may happen (see also The ‘Lost Tribe’ of Reuben: France in Prophecy?). Marine Le Pen is French.
Europeans are going to betray their American allies, which is consistent with the following biblical prophecy:
1 How lonely sits the city
That was full of people!
How like a widow is she,
Who was great among the nations!
The princess among the provinces
Has become a slave!2 She weeps bitterly in the night,
Her tears are on her cheeks;
Among all her lovers
She has none to comfort her.
All her friends have dealt treacherously with her;
They have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:1-2)
The USA and Great Britain (including its Anglo-Commonwealth members, like Australia and Canada) were “great among the nations” and this was basically prophesied to Abraham’s descendants (see Genesis 12:1-2; see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel). The Bible is clear that betrayal is coming from allies, national FRIENDS! And the US and UK do not consider Russia to be a friend.
The EU is not going to forget Brexit or Donald Trump, nor is it likely to forgive the USA for what Steve Bannon is trying to do.
Despite having problems of unity (Daniel 2:41-43), the Europeans will one day reorganize and follow a leader that the Bible also calls the Beast (Revelation 17:12-13).
