MB: The future emperor wrote a book!
Last year, Eduard Habsburg had a book published in English which I purchased and read called The Habsburg Way. It is now also out in the Italian language.
A reader from Italy sent me a link to the following article in Italian by Maurizio Blondett, https://www.maurizioblondet.it/il-futuro-imperatore-ha-scritto-un-libro/, which I had machine-translated into English and adjusted:
The future emperor wrote a book!
7 February 2024
Eduard Habsburg, ambassador of Hungary to the Holy See, is the author: I post here the review and report made by Paolo Gulisano. The sensational aspect – an adjective I never use – is that the ambassador knows that he will become one, and has conformed his will, his person, his family life for the high task: to be not just an example, but a model to future subjects as a Christian father (he has six children).
So all the protagonists of the unimaginable New Time (or new order) are already on the scene, waiting for the story to begin. All we have to do is greet them and pray intensely to the Immaculate Virgin so that the times of trials and apocalyptic sufferings (all too imaginable) that will precede such a New Order may be hastened.
So, MB apparently believes Eduard Habsburg is setting the stage for a new order. Calling him the “future emperor” is something that caught my eye. After the above, MB then had the following from Paolo Gulisano:

In times when it is difficult to find firm and safe points of reference from a cultural, political and even religious point of view, the book Living as a Habsburg. Seven Rules for Difficult Times is a treasure trove of wisdom to draw from.
The author is Edward of Habsburg-Lorraine, member of the Hungarian branch of the great dynasty which for about seven hundred years led the Empire which took up the legacy of the Holy Roman Empire founded by Charlemagne, the highest level reached in history by Civilitas Christiana.
Edoardo is Hungary’s ambassador to the Holy See, married and father of six children. The book he wrote, and now appropriately translated into Italian in the series of historical studies by D’Ettoris publishers , is not only a brilliant history text of his family, a fascinating gallery of characters, from the first medieval Emperors to the great Franz Joseph and to Blessed Carlo, but it should be read as a real catechesis on how to live as lay Christians in the world, and finally it should be used as a manual for good politicians, in particular for those who want to do politics as a Christian.
Living as a Habsburg means living as a Catholic, exercising the virtues of faith almost heroically. …
The philosopher Giorgio Agamben, one of the greatest expressions of intellectual honesty in our country, also recently recognized this. “If something like Europe is to acquire an autonomous political reality – wrote Agamben – this will only be possible through the creation of a European Empire similar to the Austro-Hungarian one or to the Imperium that Dante in De monarchia conceived as the unitary principle that was to order the particular kingdoms towards peace as “an ultimate goal”.
It is possible, that is, that, in the extreme situation in which we find ourselves, political models that are considered completely obsolete may find an unexpected relevance again. But for this it would be necessary for the citizens of the European national states to rediscover a bond with their own places and with their own cultural traditions strong enough to be able to depose without reservations the state citizenships and replace them with a single European citizenship, which was embodied not in a parliament and in commissions, but in a symbolic power somewhat similar to the Holy Roman Empire. …
Coming from a descendant of the dynasty that gave Europe rulers and emperors, it is extremely significant. Edoardo encourages us to never stop believing in subsidiarity, even in a time like ours where we are witnessing the emergence of a disturbing new centralist model that is financial rather than political.
The Habsburg lifestyle shown in this book is not a nostalgic legacy of a distant past, but the way forward for every Christian.
Notice that Paolo Gulisano is endorsing the idea of a resurrect Holy Roman Empire with a Habsburg as its ruler.
Here is some of what Eduard Habsburg wrote in the English edition which I bought and read:
I’d like to ask whether our lives, politics–indeed our world–wouldn’t be better if we tried to do at least a few things “the Habsburg Way.” …
For all their faults, the Habsburg rulers appear to have cared for their subjects quite well. … we do not need to “bring back the Habsburgs” or “re-introduce monarchy” (although I’d never say never) … these ideas–and requiring them from our political leaders–would greatly improve our contemporary world. …
The Seven Rules
1. GET MARRIED…
2. BE CATHOLIC …
3. BELIEVE IN THE EMPIRE …
4. STAND FOR LAW AND JUSTICE…
5. KNOW WHO YOU ARE …
6. BE BRAVE IN BATTLE (or Have a Great General)
7. DIE WELL …
The fact is, the Habsburgs–and for the most part still are–Catholic. Period. Full stop. …
If the reign of Leopold I was the pinnacle of Catholic faith in the Habsburg lands, many other Habsburgs were devout … For example, Maria Theresia made pilgrimages … But here faith was very strict … Meanwhile her husband was … actually a Freemason … The sons and daughters of Maria Theresia and Francis were raised between the very severe faith of their mother and the very humanistic faith of their father. It is perhaps no wonder that many preferred their father’s faith.
After eight hundred years of the intimate Habsburg presence in European politics, members of our family are still putting their faith first and making it the center of our lives.
The Holy Roman Empire … was shaped by, the Habsburg family for hundreds of years …
Holy Roman Empire … by the Middle Ages, this state structure governed most of the Roman Empire’s former territory including Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia, Czeck Republic, the territory of today’s Poland, and Northern Italy.
The idea of centralized government in the Habsburg lands began to advance under Maria Theresia. … In some ways, centalization was inspired by the Masonic idea that reason could determine the best policy, and therefore that all change could come from above and be implemented by a small, virtuous elite.
In the end, the idea of empire (in German reich) has shaped Europe for nearly six hundred years, with greater and lesser success. But one historical curiosity above the Holy Roman Empire is that, according to legal scholars, it never officially, legally ended. … even after 1806 when the Holy Roman Empire ended. … So, very technically speaking, empire continues to even to this day. … perhaps one day in the future it will once again be “en-soul” a united Europe?
monarchs … Contrast this mindset with some modern politicians. Not having been raised to responsibility, and with less permanently secure positions, they will quite understandably be more naturally tempted to use their careers as paths to personal advancement …
I leave you with this question: Who protects the voters from their politicians today? …
Dr. Otto von Habsburg … From the birth of the Paneuropa Union, in 1952, Otto fought for a united Europe … In 1973, Otto became head of the International Paneuropa Movement, and in 1979 he was elected to the European Parliament for the first time. … he insisted that symbolic seats in the Parliament be kept empty for the future for countries still trapped behind the Iron Curtain. …
We Habsburgs still live by traditional family values and live by them. … Are we waiting for the monarchy to return? No. (Or are we?) …
And the next time a politician does something outlandish, ask yourself: What would a Habsburg do?
(Habsburg E. The Habsburg Way: Seven Rules for Turbulent Times. Sophia Institute Press, 2023, pp. 5, 7-8, 10, 11, 49, 65-66, 75, 79, 81, 84, 89, 99, 147,149, 152, 155)
So, Archduke Eduard Habsburg, who is “Hungary’s Ambassador to the Holy See and Sovereign Order of Malta” (Ibid, p. 159), seems to be pushing for a return to the monarchy and a revived “Holy Roman Empire.”
And we have people like Paolo Gulisano endorsing the idea and people like Maurizio Blondet wondering about it.
Could any of this fit in with biblical and other prophecies?
Yes.
Archduke Habsburg wants Europe to reorganize and consider the monarchy. The Bible shows that will happen in Europe:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
The leader of this superstate is called the King of the North in Daniel 11.
Can Europe end up with such a dictator/monarch?
Well, interestingly, the same reader who sent me the link to Maurizio Blondet’s article also sent me a link to another: https://www.imolaoggi.it/2024/02/07/italia-monarchia-e-costituzione/. Here is a portion of that machine-translated into English:
7 February 2024
If we read the art. 139 of the current Constitution of 1948, we note how it states the impossibility, through a constitutional revision law, of modifying the republican form of government and achieving a restoration of the monarchy …
It follows, therefore, that a modification of the form of government in a monarchical sense should be subject to a double degree of regulatory activity: the first, aimed at repealing the provision of the art. 139; the second, the new regulation of the matter previously declared intangible. To the objection raised by an authoritative part of the doctrine and also accepted by the Constitutional Court with sentence no. 480/1989 regarding the “perpetual non-modification of the new republican order”, it can be replied that its abrogation is not identified in its object with the strictu sensu revision of the institutional form.
In other words, the art. 139 can explain its effect on the initiative of the revision of the republican form and, therefore, as an express limit, render unconstitutional any law that such revision contemplates, but cannot inhibit the pure and simple repeal by a revision law that respects the aggravated procedure of the art. 138.
So, while article 139 of Italy’s constitution prohibits any type of monarchy, that article can be repealed. Hence, “legally” it is possible for Italy.
Whether technically legal or not, the Bible says it will happen.
Now prior to this prophesied reorganization, this kingly beast leader does not have much power, but with a small group (of elites?) backing him, he will attain it (Daniel 11:23). The Habsburgs, themselves, do not have much power now, but do have influence.
In the 20th century, Otto von Hapsburg was a fairly influential leader in Europe. He had been an acquaintance and guest of Herbert Armstrong. Notice also the following:
As a newly elected Member of the European Parliament in 1979, Otto took a strong interest in the countries behind the Iron Curtain, and had an empty chair set up in the European Parliament to symbolize their absence. Otto von Habsburg played a notable role in the revolutions of 1989, as a co-initiator of the Pan-European Picnic. Later he was a strong supporter of the EU membership of central and eastern European countries. (Otto von Hapsburg, Wikipedia, accessed 05/03/23)
One of the reasons the above was of interest to me is that at the Feast of Tabernacles in Tucson, Arizona in 1979, Dr. Herman Hoeh announced that the WCG position was the the nations in Eastern Europe would be part of the European beast power–a power that WCG also referred to as a revived “Holy Roman Empire.”
Now, not only did Eduard Habsburg seem to call for that, other Roman Catholic writers have reported that they believe their seers have predicted it.
Regarding Greco-Roman Catholic private prophecies, Desmond A. Birch, a Roman Catholic writer, has made the following observations:
Several private prophecies of canonized Saints specifically state that there will be a latter restoration of the Holy Roman Empire and that there will be at least one last Holy Roman Emperor. The authenticity of the authorship of such prophecies of canonized Saints (e.g., St. Hildegard, St. Vincent Ferrer, St. Francis of Paula, and St. John Vianney) at least over the last eight hundred years is scholastically unquestionable.
We are left with the options that:
(1) the prophecies are genuine,
(2) all of the Fathers and Saints, throughout the centuries who attested to some form of this tradition were deluded or mistaken in exactly the same way, or
(3) that they were all liars and part of a massive Catholic conspiracy which has spanned seventeen centuries, within which they are managed to tell exactly the same lies. (Birch DA. Trial, Tribulation & Triumph: Before During and After Antichrist. Queenship Publishing Company, Goleta (CA), 1996, p.281)
I would tend to suggest that there are other options to consider. I believe that various Greco-Roman Catholic “prophets” have sometimes been deluded by demons and some have made statements from “the desires of their heart” (cf. Romans 1:2 Rheims NT) or “their imaginations” (KJV). It seems that certain of these prophecies are part of a Satanic conspiracy, sometimes with “Catholic” complicity, that has spanned more than seventeen centuries.
I would like to also emphasize that fact that not all the “prophecies” are written exactly the same way, which is consistent with demonic influence–as some “private prophecies” are in blatant contradiction to others. Furthermore, related to the final “Holy Roman Emperor”, there are many Greco-Roman Catholic and biblical prophecies that warn that the one who will raise up an ecumenical changed church (apparently calling itself “Catholic”) and that this is NOT a good thing. It seems that some “Catholic” writers have unintentionally advocated the rise of one that sounds the same as the Beast of Revelation 13.
Notice some scriptures:
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:1-4)
The “sea” here is the Mediterranean Sea (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) and is also called the “Great Sea” associated with the various beasts of Daniel 7:2-8, including the final beast.
So, this is a European power.
Notice that Revelation 13:3a points to it looking like it was “mortally wounded,” but that its “deadly wound was healed.”
This looks to be a reference to a revival of the old Holy Roman Empire.
The old Radio Church of God and Worldwide Church of God published the following:
Let us now notice the symbolism of the toes of the image (Dan. 2), and the horns of the fourth Beast of Daniel 7 and of the Beast of Revelation 13. …
It is well known by ALL who understand Bible prophecy that this 17th chapter of Revelation pictures the Roman Catholic Church ruling over the so-called Holy Roman Empire. (Who is the Beast? Radio Church of God, 1960)
Again, as in centuries past, Europeans are beginning to appreciate that religion and politics are interdependent. In essence, they are envisioning a reconstitution of the whole of classic Europe, along the lines of the old Holy Roman Empire, under Catholic aegis.
The dream of the Holy Roman Empire yet lives! …
The Popes’ calls for the spiritual unity of Europe have been echoed by influential spokesmen In the political arena.
Prominent among these is Dr. Otto von Habsburg, a key figure in the movement for European unification. Dr. Habsburg is the eldest son of the last Austro-Hungarian Emperor and a member of the European Parliament. (See “Otto von Habsburg — Man With a Mission,” March 1984 Plain Truth.)
Inter-European unity has long been a quest of the Habsburgs, as we have seen. Dr. Habsburg often speaks of the similarities between the Holy Roman Empire of the Middle Ages and his view of a coming “United States of Europe.”
Dr. Habsburg has long advocated a strong religious role in any future united Europe. He regards the Roman Catholic Church as Europe’s ultimate bulwark. “The cross doesn’t need Europe,” he once stated, “but Europe needs the cross.”
Europeans, he believes, must be reawakened to their historical religious heritage. “If we take Christianity out of the European development, there is nothing left,” he declares. “The soul is gone.”
Dr. Habsburg has also called attention to the potential role of the crown of the Holy Roman Empire, which today resides in the Schatz-kammer (Royal Treasury) in Vienna.
Christopher Hollis, in the foreword to Dr. Habsburg’s book The Social Order of Tomorrow, points out that Dr. Habsburg “would like to see Europe resume her essential unity, and in the symbolism of that unity he thinks that the imperial crown of Charlemagne and of the Holy Roman Empire might well have its part to play.”
It is to the model of the Holy Roman Empire that many European political figures and leading churchmen are now looking for the answer to today’s political and religious woes. A revived alliance between church and “empire,” they believe, may be the very key — the only key — to European survival in the face of perilous world conditions!
Final Revival
Forces already have been set in motion that will revolutionize the face of Europe … Bible prophecy reveals that current efforts toward Church unity and European political integration will be achieved! The result will be the emergence of a religious — political union in Europe, in the spirit of the old Holy Roman Empire — a final revival … the prophesied resurrected Holy Roman Empire!
United Europe Inevitable
What is transpiring on both sides of the Iron Curtain today are the first steps in the refashioning of Europe into a new, yet old, alignment.
As George Bailey, in his perceptive book Germans, suggests: “Can we be sure that history has written finis to what was perhaps the grandest design ever conceived by man: the Holy Roman Empire?”
Declares Otto von Habsburg: “We are well beyond the point of no return where you can still go back into the [recent] past. Of course, we have not yet arrived at the other shore; but we can’t go back.”
A united Europe is inevitable. Europe awaits a modern Charlemagne, another Otto the Great, a second Charles V — a champion to resurrect the tradition of imperial unity.
The coming Renovatio imperii Romanorum — restoration of the Empire of the Romans — will astound the world! (Stump K. THE HISTORY OF EUROPE & THE CHURCH Part Ten THE FINAL UNION. Plain Truth, June 1984)
While the above writings came from the last century, after they came out, we now see a large empire calling itself the European Union.
And, this year, we also see a book written by another Habsburg (who says Otto von Habsburg is probably his the great-great-uncle) pointing to a revival of the Holy Roman Empire.
Helping make that happen may well be ‘the Habsburg way,’ though the Habsburgs may not realize that.
While I do not, at this time, expect Eduard Habsburg to be the “future emperor,” there is another Habsburg that seems to meet more of the biblical requirements.
Notice that the Bible tells about a leader who was once disgraced that prophesied to rise up:
21 And there shall stand up in his place one despised, and the kingly honour shall not be given him: and he shall come privately, and shall obtain the kingdom by fraud. (Daniel 11:21, Douay-Rheims)
21 “‘His place will be taken by a reject, a man spurned and passed over for advancement. He’ll surprise everyone, seemingly coming out of nowhere, and will seize the kingdom. (Daniel 11:21 from THE MESSAGE: The Bible in Contemporary Language © 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson. All rights reserved.)
21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.(Daniel 11:21, NKJV)
Because of his plagiarism scandal, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg was disgraced and written off by many. Yet, he is still around and has media and other influence.
Furthermore, unlike Archduke Eduard who went through an investiture, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, who is also a Habsburg on his mother’s side, was denied the honor of royalty because German law does not recognize royalty, whereas Austrian and probably Hungarian law does–hence people like Archduke Eduard have normally undergone what is considered to be a royal investiture.

Does KT have the ancestral and religious background to be the “Great Monarch” of Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies? Does KT have the digital background to be able to be involved in the 666 controlling of buying and selling (Revelation 13:16-18)?
