Might a Supreme Court decision spark civil war coming to USA?

Much of the US news the past few days has been dominated by opinions and comments related to US President Donald Trump’s nominee for the US Supreme Court. Could this lead to civil unrest or even civil war?

Consider the following:

This week, its President chose a new Supreme Court judge … Brett Kavanaugh …

Trump is replacing America’s rapidly collapsing political system with a house of marked-cards managed by a man whose power resides in a colourful cape and a bank vault full of kryptonite.

Where to now?

Enough members of enough fiefdoms could turn on him before the current uncivil roar becomes a real, new civil war—for example by blocking Kavanaugh from joining the Court—but even if they do, it’s hard to see how the elites can stop this unravelling of America.

Enough voters may elect enough Democrats to Congress in November to shore up the system against the raging bull, but it’s unlikely they’ll have a united front of radical ideas good enough to win the White House come 2020.

The same day Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be the next high-court justice, the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee was asked an interesting question: “Is there any possibility that the legislative branch would remove a Supreme Court justice?”

U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., who also serves as the DNC’s second-in-charge, paused for a moment, then responded, “You’d have to find some evidence of like, corruption, or something like that.”

Some comments about Ellison’s remarks posted on YouTube include:

“Translation: ‘When we regain power, we will arrest you, then look, and search, and deep-dive into everything imaginable until we find something of which you’re guilty!’”

“Not a good idea for a Supreme Court justice … but OK for a president.”

“So couldn’t we theoretically impeach all the radical Obama judges under their new rules of governing? Leftists aren’t going to like the new rules.”

“These people are begging for a civil war.”

So, we see talk of civil war related to a Supreme Court nominee.

While Donald Trump selected Catholic Brett Kavanaugh, most of the mainstream media and many political operatives would have had similar problems with anyone that Donald Trump was likely to have nominated instead.

Now, is civil unrest and/or civil war going to hit the USA?

Yes.

Consider the following from Jesus related to what has been happening in the USA:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)

Former US President Abraham Lincoln cited one of these scriptures in a famous speech he gave prior to becoming USA president. The situation worsened and the American civil war began not too long afterwards.

Why are the mainstream media and many others so opposed to Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee?

Because they fear that the USA may overturn the Supreme Court decision that essentially made abortion a national right:

Another sometimes-mentioned 2020 presidential prospect, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, is also on the Judiciary Committee.

She said Tuesday the Supreme Court makes decisions about “about who you can marry, about where you can work, about if you can vote, and in the case of my grandpa, who worked 1,500 feet underground in the mines his whole life, about if his workplace was safe.”

Klobuchar also warned of the potential for the Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion everywhere to be undone if Kavanaugh is confirmed.

“We cannot go back to a time when women are made criminals for making a choice about what to do with their own bodies. We cannot go back to a time when they can’t make a decision about their own contraceptives,” she said. “When you look at what’s happening in this country, people want to move forward.” https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/11/politics/supreme-court-democrats-2020-presidential-race/index.html

Allowing the murdering of babies to continue is not a move forward.

It would be nice if the Supreme Court of the USA considered that unborn babies are humans and should have the right to life. Note something from the US Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

One would think that US Supreme Court justices would agree with the nation’s Declaration of Independence. Murdered babies lose life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The federal government should not encourage that.

Now it should be added, that even IF Roe vs. Wade was overturned, this would not be expected to outlaw abortion in the total USA–this would mainly be expected to allow this to be determined on a state-by-state basis (though abortion should not be allowed anywhere or at all).

The Apostle Paul warned:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! … 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:1-5, 13)

It is not good to promote abortion.

Those who promote abortion do not wish to believe the truth.

Jesus said to those who would actually follow Him:

32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

Increasingly, there is a cultural divide between those who profess some type of morality based upon scripture and those that have decided that political issues matter more than moral ones. Many are outraged about matters such as homosexual marriage and abortion, while others are outraged that everyone will not support homosexual marriage and abortion.

Increasingly, the political parties are becoming more polarized. While politicians were always partisan, there is less they seem willing to do for the ‘good of the country’ together.

It used to be that Supreme Court nominees were routinely confirmed on a bipartisan basis unless corruption, incompetence, or cronyism was apparent.

Yet those are not the issues that people tend to raise about Brett Kavanaugh.

The confirmation situation has changed as the Supreme Court essentially has become highly political.

Many in the USA want abortion expanded and not subject to more restrictions.

Various ones in the media have been fanning the flames of strife and division, and are expected to fan them more.

The USA is not exempt from falling, and ” a house divided against a house falls” (Luke 11:17).

While reducing abortion is good–and may happen–ultimately, the USA will fall.
