Might Europe collapse before the final Beast rises up?

Will there be a “United States of Europe”? Do the people there want that? Might it all collapse first?

Well Nigel Farage who is the Member of the European Parliament for South East England regularly makes his views known about these matters. For those unfamiliar with him, the he is sort of like former US Congressman Ron Paul, accept he is sometimes even more blunt. Anyway, here is something I saw him say (in a video) before the European Parliament a few days ago:

The people out there do not want a United States of Europe…I believe that the European elections are going to mark a watershed…that the myth of a {European superstate} inevitability will be shattered by the European elections this year.

As I reported in the latest CCOG Letter to the Brethren, Nigel Farage may be partially correct. While 2014 could mark a watershed, especially if the United Kingdom votes to pull out of the European Union, the reality is that a European superstate will arise. While it may not actually be called the United States of Europe, Bible prophecy says that it will form, despite having problems which are still future (Daniel 2:41-43) and reorganizations (Revelation 17:12-17). It could be that upcoming European elections and/or economic concerns may result in civil unrest and violence in parts of Europe–but ultimately, the Bible teaches that the European Beast power will rise up. Herbert Armstrong back in 1947 taught that a “United States of Europe” was basically consistent with Bible prophecy, and earlier this month, another EU Commissioner specifically called for a “United States of Europe” (see EU Commissioner calls for United States of Europe!).

Here is some information about the upcoming European elections that Nigel Farage referred to:

Elections to the European Parliament will be held in all member states of the EU between May 22 and 25, 2014. It will be the eighth Europe-wide election to the European Parliament since the first direct elections in 1979. Perhaps I should mention that I have seen various EU leaders cringe when Nigel Farage speaks, including when he spoke about these elections. In my view, various EU leaders are thinking that Nigel Farage and/or the UK are not supporting their objectives and hence they have likely planned to go along without the UK in the future.

A while back Nigel Farage said that he plans to re-run in the 2014 EU elections. He has stated that his goal is to break up the Eurozone by putting the vote to the people via a referendum.

Basically, Nigel Farage seems to believe that the Eurozone is about to collapse, that people do not really want it, and the current systems is about to cause economic chaos. Various others have concerns about Europe and the UK as well:

Federal Europe is the future and the UK has no part in it

The EU is overseeing the wholesale demolition of democracy across the continent. Our membership of the EU has rendered Westminster a vassal of Brussels instead of a servant of the people…

An EU-funded group, European Alternatives Ltd, has also drafted a manifesto for a federal Europe, which calls for a universal basic income, a ban on fracking, and an increase in VAT to fund welfare spending.

This is precisely why the idea of EU reform is little more than futile hope, employed by David Cameron’s circle of advisers to delay the date of the inevitable referendum. If you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the “economic collapse”, just open up your eyes and look at what is happening in Europe. The entire continent is a giant economic mess right now. Unemployment and poverty levels are setting record highs, car sales are setting record lows, and there is an ocean of bad loans and red ink everywhere you look. Over the past several years, most of the attention has been on the economic struggles of Greece, Spain and Portugal and without a doubt things continue to get even worse in those nations.

But in 2014 and 2015, Italy and France will start to take center stage. France has the 5th largest economy on the planet, and Italy has the 9th largest economy on the planet, and at this point both of those economies are rapidly falling to pieces. Expect both France and Italy to make major headlines throughout the rest of 2014. I have always maintained that the next major wave of the economic collapse would begin in Europe, and that is exactly what is happening…

Europe truly is experiencing an economic nightmare, and it is only going to get worse.

It would be hard to put into words the extreme desperation that unemployed workers throughout Europe are feeling right now. When you can’t feed your family and you can’t find work no matter how hard you try, it can be absolutely soul crushing…

While the Eurozone does have economic problems, others, like the USA and UK, have problems as well.

As far as Europe goes, last November, a reader sent me a link to a YouTube video that was uploaded by a commentator named Jim Rogers. It is titled, “Violent Revolution coming to Europe; Ron Paul, Nigel Farage, Jim Rogers & Peter Schiff.” Here is a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6tBY_9R9fc#t=307.

In that video, Nigel Farage stated that the EU will decide it has to bail out Slovenia soon and that violent revolution may hit Europe. That last statement is something that I have written about for years. Violent civil unrest in Europe will have negative impacts on the Euro, at least for a time. Europe may well collapse and reorganize before it gives military power to the Beast (cf. Daniel 2:41-43; Revelation 17).

In the same video, former US Congressman Ron Paul commented that the world economy is in worse shape than most believe. He said a calamity and more chaos is coming, and he was not limiting that to Europe. He meant also the USA, whose dollar will ultimately be worthless.

As far as Europe goes, there will be riots and civil unrest in Europe. More severe social unrest and rioting. Do not be surprised to see not only places like Greece, Spain, and some of the eastern European nations, but also places such as Germany, France, and elsewhere.

Let me add that I have been in Europe three times in the past eight months and the places I visited did not look like they were set to have riots or civil unrest (even the last time I was in Greece it did not APPEAR to be close to rioting, but there were some riots there since). But appearances can be deceiving.

Because of unemployment pressures, immigration issues, clashes with Islam, debt issues, and issues with the Euro, civil unrest is coming. These issues will be factors in the rise of a leader that the Bible refers to as the King of the North (Daniel 11:21-44). He, and probably technology, will help bring Europe out of certain of its problems and he will be proclaimed a hero for doing so. The world will watch and marvel (Revelation 13:1-4).

While some question how this could happen in Europe, the Bible teaches that Europe will have strong and weak parts (Daniel 2:41-43), reorganize (Revelation 17:12-13), and, despite its current irreligious tendencies, support a particular religion (Revelation 13). Europe already has strong and weak parts and keeps discussing a variety of forms of reorganization.

The USA itself is not immune to to civil unrest, and when it has a series of physical crises hit it and its debt hampers it, massive rioting is likely there as well. We are likely to riots in many places. Jesus foretold a time of “troubles” (Mark 13:8) and civil unrest and protests are consistent with that.

According to Bible prophecy, Europe will have problems. But unlike what Nigel Farage wants, some type of “United States of Europe” will form.

In the European Parliament on February 5 2013, notice something else that Nigel Farage stated:

The European Union will be increasingly about war….

I do not want the United Kingdom to be part of a militaristic, war-like, European Union.

The Bible itself clearly teaches that a successfully warring power will emerge again in Europe (Daniel 11:29-44). The Bible also shows that the world will marvel, be astonished, by this European power’s military success (Revelation 13:4)–and that this King of the North power will even destroy the USA, the power with the “strongest fortresses” according to Daniel 11:39.

Various ones in Britain want it to leave the European Union. Nigel Farage wants the EU dismantled–and he seems to have some idea of the threat that a more united European power will bring with it.

Europe itself will change. The Bible actually teaches that the European Beast power will have to have three reorganizations (Revelation 17:12, 13, & 15-18), not necessarily counting what Nigel Farage hopes will happen.

The reality is that the UK will leave or somehow be eliminated from the final confederation of nations that will be part of the European Beast power. Ultimately, the Europeans will divide up and rule the UK.

While the European power is starting to rise up, and will have problems (Daniel 2:41-43; Revelation 18) before it fully does, the UK will ultimately find it is not a friend. Nigel Farage will be right about that.

The Bible warns of a time of trouble for the Anglo-nations (Jeremiah 30:7) and that they will be taken over by a European power (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11). Steps that the UK has taken, and will take (perhaps with some help by Nigel Farage?), are helping set the stage for this.
