JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — The Chinese military has become significantly more aggressive and dangerous over the past five years, the top U.S. military officer said during a trip to the Indo-Pacific that included a stop Sunday in Indonesia.
Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the number of intercepts by Chinese aircraft and ships in the Pacific region with U.S. and other partner forces has increased significantly over that time, and the number of unsafe interactions has risen by similar proportions.
“The message is the Chinese military, in the air and at sea, have become significantly more and noticeably more aggressive in this particular region,” said Milley, who recently asked his staff to compile details about interactions between China and the U.S. and others in the region.
His comments came as the U.S. redoubles its efforts to strengthen its relationships with Pacific nations as a counterbalance to China, which is trying to expand its presence and influence in the region. So, another call for the USA to focus more on China’s military capabilities.

Yes, the USA is pivoting towards China and that has not escaped the notice of the Europeans. Here was something related to France and the AUKUS deal last year:

“France’s position for a very long time … has been to say that the U.S. is an ally, but the U.S. is pivoting away from Europe and cannot fully be trusted,” said Georgina Wright, head of the Europe Program at Institut Montaigne, a nonprofit transpartisan think tank based in Paris.
Now, France can feel vindicated in that stance, she said, with Biden proving that “when (the United States) makes a decision, they will go ahead with it and they won’t think twice about their allies.” …

The Europeans were already angry about the Snowden leaks during the Obama-Biden Administration, their exclusion from the Five Eyes alliance (which is the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand), and the fact of Donald Trump’s presidency.
As USA leaders continue to make public statements about perceived threats from China, the Europeans have more and more concluded that they have to defend themselves and be able to function militarily in a manner independent of the USA.

AUKUS sparking European military
In September 2021, US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a new military partnership called AUKUS. This announcement upset the French and the European Union, which is not part of it. Could AUKUS be another spark for the Europeans to develop their own joint military? What have European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and former German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel called for? Could having the Europeans increase their military capacity and technology and be dangerous? Is the European King of the North, also called the King of Assyria, prophesied to destroy the USA (Daniel 11:39) and its British-descended allies? What could stop that? Is national or personal repentance possible? Do the nations need Jesus or military alliances?

And since then, we have seen Russia’s “special military operation” into Ukraine. It may be that Europeans thought that the USA would have prevented that–but it did not.

Does the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have prophetic ramifications? What about Ezekiel 38? Are we seeing a ‘historic shift’ in Europe to move towards more unity? What about non-EU nations like Sweden and Switzerland? Is Germany’s announcement to double its military spending to 100 million euros a big deal? Does the Bible tell of changes coming to Europe for it to rise up as a Babylonian unity successful military power? What about the United States of America and its British-descended allies? Could USA sanctions against Russia, including SWIFT restrictions, decrease international demand for USA dollars and cause inflation? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more in this video.

With the USA publicly alarmed about China’s military and economic capabilities, it will pivot more towards Asia and further away from Europe. Though it will make some efforts towards the Europeans, they will not be placated, Europe will end up with a “great army” (Daniel 11:25) and “many ships” (Daniel 11:40).
That being said, the Bible DOES NOT show that China will become the world’s leading military power.
The Bible shows that after the coming European King of the North Beast power conquers the USA (Daniel 11:39) as well as an upcoming Middle East confederation (Daniel 11:40-43). The Book of Lamentations points to the USA being defeated by its “friends” (Lamentation 1:1-2).
While the Europeans see threats and issues from China, they are more and more concerned that the USA is less interested in defending them. This will end in disaster for the USA.
The European power will be considered, for a time, as the leading military power by the world (cf. Revelation 13:3-4).
However, this temporary European dominance will not last.

The situation between Russia and Ukraine has again heated up, although it has been tense since the Euromaiden protests and Russia’s annexation of Crimea. There was later a separation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the Russian Orthodox Church. Is war prophesied for Russia and Ukraine? Are prophecies in the Bible associated with the ‘kings of the Medes’ and a power from the “north country” related to any in Russia and Ukraine? Is a confederation of powers from the north, east, and central Asia prophesied to destroy the coming end time European Babylon? Will the destruction be reminiscent of what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah? How is the King of the North and who will destroy him? Do those in Russia and Ukraine have a hope of salvation? That being said, partially because of the perceived threat from China, the USA will not be focused to defend itself from what will be coming from Europe.
