Iran’s Supreme leader is angry about yesterday’s bombing:

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed a “harsh response” to Wednesday’s bomb attack on crowds gathered to mark the anniversary of the 2020 assassination of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, as Iran observed a day of mourning Thursday. The attack killed at least 84 people, Iranian authorities said.
“Cruel criminals must know that they will be strongly dealt with from now on,” Khamenei said in a statement.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, which appeared to be the deadliest targeting Iran since the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution. The death toll was revised down to 84 early Thursday by the country’s emergency services after initially being reported as over 100. More than 280 people were wounded, according to the emergency services.

There is no way to avoid an apocalyptic war in the Middle East now. Too much has been said and done, and both sides have pushed things past the point of no return. It won’t be too long before thousands of missiles are flying back and forth, and that is going to have enormous implications for all of us. This war is going to look far different from anything we have ever seen in the Middle East before, and the level of death and destruction that we will witness will shock the entire globe. …
On Wednesday, two massive explosions killed … people that had gathered in the Iranian city of Kerman on the fourth anniversary of Qasem Soleimani’s death…This was one of the deadliest attacks in modern Iranian history, and the Iranians are basically treating it as their own version of 9/11.
I do not believe that Israel was involved in this attack, but no matter how hard you try you will never be able to convince Iran’s leaders otherwise.
In the aftermath of the explosions, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised that there will be a “harsh response”…
Of course this attack came just one day after the assassination of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri in the heart of Beirut very close to Hezbollah headquarters.
This was extremely humiliating for the leadership of Hezbollah, and on Wednesday Hassan Nasrallah ominously declared that his organization is ready for war “without restraint, without rules, without limits and without restrictions”…
For security purposes, Israeli politicians are absolutely determined to push Hezbollah back beyond the Litani River. …
Elsewhere, western powers have issued a “final warning” to the Houthis in Yemen…
The U.S., Britain and key allies issued what officials described as a final warning to the Houthi Yemeni rebel group Wednesday to cease its attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea or bear the consequences.
“Ongoing Houthi attacks in the Red Sea are illegal, unacceptable, and profoundly destabilizing,” says the statement issued by more than a dozen nations. “The Houthis will bear the responsibility of the consequences should they continue to threaten lives, the global economy, and free flow of commerce in the region’s critical waterways.”
The U.S. military has prepared options to strike the Iran-backed rebel group, U.S. officials say.
I do not expect the Houthis to back down.
And so it appears that it is likely that the U.S. military will soon be striking targets inside Yemen.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, World War III is here, and the year ahead is going to be absolutely packed with conflict.

Now, Michael Snyder is not the only one who seems to think that a massive conflict in the the Middle East will be WWIII. Greek Orthodox scholar, Dr. Helen Tzima Otto, also thinks so as she wrote:
WWIII … will be a concerted Islamic attack against the ‘West’, namely … the invasion of Europe from North Africa, the Near East and probably Central Asia, (Tzima Otto, Helen. They’ll have no King but Caesar. Verenikia Press, 2005, p. 421)
However, it is not WWIII, but what will happen first in the Middle East is expected to set the countdown for the start of WWIII (see also World War III: Steps in Progress).
World War Three begins with an attack against the USA and UK by the coming European beast power, who will succeed in conquering the USA and UK consistent with Daniel 11:39 (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
That European power will also, afterwards, destroy a power consisting of a confederation of Islamic nations in the Middle East and North Africa per Daniel 11:40-43 (see also Is the Future King of the South Rising Up?).
Since all of those events are at least 3 1/2 years away, what is going on now?
What might we see happen in 2024?
We may see a major regional war in the Middle East.
Such a war looks to happen prior to the “peace deal” of Daniel 9:27, which, after it is confirmed by a “prince,” will begin the 3 1/2 year countdown to the start of the Great Tribulation.

Some claim that the Great Tribulation will begin in 2024. Some say that Jesus will return in 2024. Are either of those events possible based upon the words of our Savior or the prophet Daniel? Why or why not? What about September 12, 2024? When is the Day of Atonement in 2024? Are various heavenly signs to occur before or after the tribulation? What about the ‘peace deal’ of Daniel 9:26-27? Could the war between Hamas and Israel expand to directly involve Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and others? ISIS has claimed responsibility for the deadly twin blasts near the burial site of slain military commander Qasem Soleimani in southern Iran.
At least 84 people were killed and 284 injured in the blasts on Wednesday, state-run news agency IRNA reported, in what was the deadliest attack in Iran since its 1979 revolution.
ISIS media wing Al-Furqan issued a statement on Thursday – more than 24 hours after the explosions – claiming two suicide bombers had detonated their explosive vests as Shiite mourners gathered for the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Soleimani near his grave in his hometown of Kerman. …
The statement, titled “And Kill Them Wherever You Find Them,” named the two bombers and said they targeted a gathering of “polytheists” near the grave of their “dead leader” Soleimani.
ISIS considers the Shia branch of Islam to be heretical and has targeted shrines and religious sites in Iran previously.

This terrorist attack against Iran should not have happened. The families of those affected are in my prayers.
