Tel Aviv — Air raid sirens blared in the Israeli capital again Monday morning as Palestinian militants fired more missiles at the Jewish state and the death toll on both sides soared over 1,200, with nine Americans among the dead. Explosions rang out as Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system brought down some of the rockets, but there was no immediate word on how many might have slipped through.
The latest salvo of rockets, claimed by Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades military unit, came after Israel said it had struck hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip overnight and as four Israeli combat divisions were deployed to the country’s south. Some 100,000 Israeli reservists were called up to fight as battles with Hamas militants continued. …
Officials said the Israeli death toll from Hamas’ surprise attack stood at 700 Monday morning, but it was expected to continue rising. More than 250 of the dead were people who had been attending a music festival near the border with Gaza when the attack took place.
At least nine U.S. nationals were among the dead, a spokesperson for the U.S. National Security Council told CBS News Monday morning. An undetermined number of Americans remained missing.
Israel made it clear that it wants vengeance, and in the Gaza Strip, retribution was falling from the sky. The airstrikes had killed more than 590 people as of Monday morning, including at least 91 children, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. It said some 2,900 more were wounded in the strikes.
In the coming days, Israel is expected to launch a ground incursion into Gaza, a small, densely packed region sandwiched between the Mediterranean Sea to the west and Israel to the north and east.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Monday that he’d ordered a tightening of the Gaza blockade: “Nothing is allowed in or out. There will be no fuel, electricity or food supplies,” he said in a statement. “We fight animals in human form and proceed accordingly.”
CBS News’ Marwan al-Ghoul reported from Gaza City that the Israeli airstrikes had been relentless since Saturday. …
With some people calling the attack Israel’s 9/11, military spokesman Lt. Col. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has ordered a “complete siege” of Gaza.
Gallant said the new measures will cut electricity and include a ban on admitting food and fuel.

I did not think that Hamas was on the verge of launching such an attack.
I am constantly digging into countless news sources all over the world, and I had not come across even a hint that such a thing was about to happen.
But now the entire world is in an uproar.
Israel and Hamas are at war, and it appears that the IDF will conduct a full-blown invasion of the Gaza Strip. …
And the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Iran actually helped Hamas plan their assault on Israel…
The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that Iranian security officials helped Hamas plan the surprise attack and approved it at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah. The Journal reported that officers in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the sophisticated air, land and sea assault.
If Israel and Iran start lobbing missiles at one another, this war could get really big. …
At this point, the Israeli people want Hamas to be totally destroyed, and only a full-blown invasion will be able to accomplish that.
So is this one of the wars of the apocalypse?

Unlike Michael Snyder, when I first heard of this war, I did believe it.
I had given a sermon on when the 6,000 years may end a few days before Hamas’ major attack. Here is some information about it:
When Does the 6000 Years End? 2031? 2035?
Jews, Christians, and Greco-Roman Catholics have taught that just like God re-created the Earth in six days, then rested on the Sabbath, that He also has a similar plan for humanity. Yet, instead of six literal days, followed by another literal day, that this is 6,000 years, followed by a 1,000 year millennium. Could God have a 6000/7000 year plan? If we are in “the last days,” when might the last days have begun? According to Jews, there was to be a 2000 year Messianic era–when might it end? Why does 2030 seem too early? What about 2031? Since 35 A.D. also had a Tuesday evening Passover, could 2035 possibly be the end of the 6,000 years? What about looking for the signs Jesus taught, such as the abomination of desolation and the proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom to the world as a witness? If the 6,000/7,000 year plan is based on tradition, must it be so? Do any scriptures support the 6,000/7,000 year plan? Dr. Thiel addresses these matters.

I had stated that at this stage I did not believe that the 6,000 years would likely end in 2030 as we had not seen a peace deal consistent with Daniel 9:27, plus that I felt we would likely need to see a regional war involving Israel first.
Presuming this current conflict widens, this may turn out to be that regional war.
In my sermon, I mentioned that 2031 was possible for the end of the 6,000 years if we saw certain events. And what is happening now in Israel/Gaza, plus the behind-the-scenes involvement of Iran, may lead to that. Syria, and ally of Iran and enemy of Israel, may well see its capital Damascus destroyed if the conflict widens. And if we see a confirmation by a European prince of some type of timed peace deal in 2024, the 6,000 years may well end in 2031.
As far as possibly being “a war of the Apocalypse,” no, it is not as that is years away. But it is a war consistent with what Jesus said would happen during the “beginning of sorrows”– which is the time just before the Great Tribulation (cf. Matthew 24:21-22):
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-8)
(As far as earthquakes in various places, there have been many in Hawaii, plus thousands of deaths in Morocco, Turkey, and Afghanistan–see also Earthquake results in thousands of deaths in Afghanistan–are their eternal fates doomed?).

European Union foreign policy chief, Josep Borrel, has been brokering the nuclear negotiations involving Iran and said that he thinks the deal is “in danger.” Iran blames the United States, whereas the USA says they are not delaying it. Israeli sources stated that Israel will stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. Joe Biden says the USA would use its own military power to prevent Iran from getting such a bomb if need be. In 2021, Iranian lawmakers have submitted a bill seeking the government by law to commit to Israel’s destruction by the year 2040. Does the 22nd chapter of Isaiah point to damage coming to Israel from Iran and possibly Syria? Might Iran be concerned enough about limited progress with the USA to launch some type of attack? Is Iran the prophesied ‘King of the South’? Is it reasonable to think that the prophesied peace deal of Daniel 9:27 will not happen until after a military conflict. like a regional war? Should Christians watch the Middle East? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie discuss these matters.
