Norway Is Tracking What Everyone Buys, And Biden Wants To Follow Suit In The United States
A report published at the end of May by NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, notes that the official statistics bureau of Norway will soon track most grocery store purchases made in the Scandinavian country, a development that should serve as a warning to Americans about the growing trend in Western nations to expand surveillance and tracking of everyday citizens.
In an article titled “Statistics Norway demands to know exactly what Norwegians buy in the grocery store,” reporter Martin Gundersen wrote that Statistics Norway has “ordered the grocery chains NorgesGruppen, Coop, Bunnpris and Rema 1000 to share all their receipt data with the statistical agency.” Gundersen further reports that Nets, a payment service provider that processes about 80 percent of all in-store payments, “has also been required to share detailed information on all transactions.”
Statistics Norway, “the national statistical institute of Norway and the main producer of official statistics” for the country’s government, has said, as part of its new mandate, the agency will collect all customer transaction dates, card services information, user location number, user location name, account numbers, and other relevant information related to each grocery transaction.
According to Gundersen, “A link between a payment transaction made with a debit card and a grocery receipt enables Statistics Norway to link a payment transaction and receipt for more than 70 percent of grocery purchases, the statistics agency writes in a cost-benefit assessment.”
Under the new policy, about 1.6 billion transactions will be stored each year, according to Statistics Norway, which has also said it does not plan on deleting the data in the future. …
In an executive order issued in March 2022, the White House directed several federal agencies to study the creation of a programmable central bank digital currency. Within 180 days of the order, which falls in mid-September, a report will be issued indicating whether a central bank digital currency should be created in the United States. Although this might sound as though the Biden administration is unsure of what it will do regarding a central bank digital currency, all signs point toward Biden moving to create a new digital dollar.

Financial privacy is more and more also going away.
So, there is less now in Norway and more steps to take financial privacy away in the USA.
My wife and I visited Sweden a few years ago, and Sweden is probably farther along in monitoring buying than Norway.

Republicans Warn Biden’s IRS $600 Disclosure Plan Could Lead To “Surveillance State”

The proposal would give the IRS further access to anyone’s financial information, which Republicans say amounts to federal overreach and a “surveillance state.”
“How can you possibly justify to the American people that the IRS should be snooping around in their bank, retirement, or investment accounts,” said Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) said on Oct. 7 from the Senate floor.
“There’s only one explanation, and it’s simply terrifying: The Democrats want to control how you spend your money.”
“I want to be very clear what President [Joe] Biden’s proposing here is as close to policy from communist China that we’ve seen in the United States,” Scott added. …
Rep. David Kustoff (R-Tenn.) during a Sept. 30 House oversight hearing questioned U.S. Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen about the new policy of increasing the number of IRS agents and the IRS’s ability to monitor low-level transactions.
“We have proposed both augmenting the resources of the IRS so that it can hire qualified auditors and augmenting the information flow so that the IRS gets insight opaque sources of income, and both together we believe can serve to greatly address the $7 trillion estimated tax gap that we’ll see in this country,” said Yellen.
When pressed by Kustoff about the $600 dollar disclosure policy, Yellen defended the new plan.
“I don’t believe it’s an invasion of privacy and look, the IRS gets a great deal of information that it needs in order to make sure the taxpayers comply with the tax code,” Yellen said.
Rep. Richard Neal (D-Mass.), chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has praised the $80 billion investment in the IRS and the agency’s ability to access small bank transactions, saying Democrats want to ensure tax fairness and to make sure the wealthy do not dodge their tax obligation under the new tax plan. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/republicans-warn-bidens-irs-600-disclosure-plan-could-lead-surveillance-state
The government of the USA does a lot of surveillance with social media, bank regulations, and various forms of electronic communications. It already has access to financial records, though the above proposal makes it more ‘legal’ and is another step towards more total surveillance controls.
We are seeing societal changes around the world (partially blamed on COVID) reminiscent of George Orwell’s 1984.
It will be even worse in parts of the world, and especially in Europe.
As far as what is coming from a power that will arise in Europe, here is a portion of scripture:

The ability to do that did not exist when Jesus had John pen the Revelation. The technology now exists. And even in the USA, government officials keep showing that they are supporting strong financial controls.
The Bible shows that a European totalitarian dictator will rise up (Revelation 13, 17:12-13).

The European Union is in the process of establishing the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. This is a major, first-of-its-kind move, with the EU setting up a European-wide prosecutor’s office that will have power to investigate and charge people for financial crimes committed against the EU. It looks like this type of office may end up persecuting those that do not have the mark of the Beast when they “buy or sell” as that will later be considered a financial crime in Europe.
