Response to First Person in Canada Charged with Thought-Crime and Pre-Crime in Freedom of Expression Case

The government of Quebec takes totalitarianism to a whole new level by evoking the equivalent of the War Measures Act to go after and censor social media websites. A Quebec Liberal Party appointed judge named Me Alain Gelinas suspended the Canadian Constitution, suspended the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, suspended the Civil Code of Quebec, and suspended The Quebec Charter of Human Rights in targeting the censorship of social media on the Internet, such as blogs, FACEBOOK and other free speech sites.

The judge set a legal precedent by redefining posting an idea on the Internet as solicitation, without the need for witnesses that someone has been solicited and without requiring evidence that someone in Quebec has even seen your Internet post.

The judge also sets a legal precedent that says that Quebec has legal jurisdiction over all Internet sites worldwide that can be seen by a resident of Quebec and overrides/nullifies all Terms of Service Agreements in other jurisdictions. These broad sweeping measures now gives the Quebec government the right to censor, to control, to prosecute and to suppress information and people on the Internet anywhere in the world, that the government deems is a THOUGHT-CRIME.. These Orwellian measures gives Big Brother the power now to charge you with an offence even before it is committed, called PRE-CRIME.

The judge also sets a legal precedent in Quebec for the first time in over 100 years that “you are guilty, until proven innocent”, reversing the presumption of innocent until proven guilty. …

THOUGHT-CRIME CONVICTION: Freedom of Expression is now expressly prohibited in Quebec with the “precedent” conviction. People being targeted for censorship and punishment are people who expresses an opinion on FACEBOOK, TWITTER, blogs, social networks or anywhere on the Internet someone in the government of Quebec disagrees with. The government of Quebec sets a “precedent”, saying posting anything on the Internet is now defined as solicitation, even if nobody in Quebec has seen it.
PRE-CRIME CONVICTION: The government’s theory of PRE-CRIME is to catch a crime before it happens, and charge someone with crimes they might commit in the future. This is right out of Hollywood blockbuster “The Minority Report”, starring Tom Cruise and George Orwell’s book 1984. The government of Quebec’s goal is to punish innocent people before an offence can happen. Someone in the government of Quebec simply pointing a finger at you is enough to make you guilty, even without witnesses or concrete evidence. So what if you did not commit a crime; you are guilty simply because you might do it in the future?

Alberta’s NDP government has made the next move against religious schools in the province—and this time, they’ve dropped any pretence that their ongoing attacks on religious schools are anything short of crass bigotry. At the end of August, Education Minister David Eggen announced that funding would be pulled from Christian schools that refused to accept Gay-Straight Alliance Clubs.  …

The NDP attacks on schools began as a radical progressive government forcing LGBT ideology into communities that did not want it, and have now metastasized into a blunt declaration by the government that schools cannot govern themselves according to their Christian beliefs. “Diversity” must be respected, by which the NDP means that a diverse array of religious schools must accept progressive ideology and accede to their demands or face further attacks from the government. This is no longer simply about Gay Straight Alliance clubs—the NDP is telling Christian schools that they cannot teach Christian doctrine, cannot state their belief that the Bible is God’s Word, cannot respect the primary role of parents in the education process, and cannot state that the biblical worldview is true.

And, most tellingly, the NDP had a problem with one school noting that God’s authority superseded man’s authority—because they do not believe that to be true. Our Constitution has religion hard-wired into it — the word Catholic is in our Constitution four times, specifically to protect religious education. That’s part of the grand bargain of Canada, uniting French Canada and English Canada.

It’s shocking, but it’s not surprising. Christianity has been driven out of the public square everywhere in Canada. But surely this is a new low — Christianity is actually being banned in a Christian school.

Government bureaucrats would never dream of telling Muslim schools they couldn’t teach passages from the Koran — even ones that call for the murder of infidels and apostates. But banning the Bible is now official school board policy.

And, not surprisingly, the media and the political class are silent. Even supposedly Christian or conservative politicians are keeping their heads down — they don’t want to be attacked by the leftist mob at the CBC.

The school board is digging in. They’re closing ranks around Laurie Skori the chair. They’re bullying the school. David Eggen, the NDP education minister, he hates Christian schools, wants to shut them down, has taken steps to shut others down. Canada plans to punish hate speech pre-crime

If passed, a bill in the Canadian legislature will punish online or in-person “hate speech” with a fine up to C$20,000 (about $16,000 USD) if it targets a specific person.

The law states that “hate speech means the content of a communication that expresses detestation or vilification of an individual or group of individuals on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.”

Nice and vague, just the way they like it.

The law also allows the courts to intervene if a person fears they will be the target of a hatred motivated offense.

So basically it’s like pre-crime. If a potential victim feels that you might hate them, they can apply for what is essentially a restraining order. What’s more, the judge can demand that you surrender weapons, wear a GPS monitor, remain under house arrest, abstain from alcohol, and submit to drug tests.

This is all without being charged, let alone convicted, of any crime.

Canada proposes another ‘hate speech’ law and this one is just as threatening to free speech

Quick Facts

• Bill C-36 would criminalize online hate speech and is essentially a reintroduction of the since-repealed Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act.
• The bill would allow a person to claim that they are afraid someone will commit hate speech, leading to an investigation.
• Hate is defined in the bill as “the emotion that involves detestation or vilification and that is stronger than dislike or disdain.”
• Hate speech would be defined as speech that is “likely to foment detestation or vilification of an individual or group.”

Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees freedom of speech to Canadian residents, which is why a section of the Human Rights Act that put restrictions on “hate” speech was eventually repealed after its initial passage in 2013.

Now, however, the concept is back for legislative consideration in the new Bill C-36, which ostensibly attempts to fix the problems of the Section 13 hate speech provision by providing more clear protections for free speech. It reads,

“Hate speech means the content of a communication that expresses detestation or vilification of an individual or group of individuals on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination. For greater certainty, the content of a communication does not express detestation or vilification, for the purposes of subsection, solely because it expresses mere dislike or disdain or it discredits, humiliates, hurts or offends.”

But as Matthew Lau, an adjunct scholar at the Fraser Institute and fellow with the Montreal Economic Institute, notes, this bill does nothing to solve the problem of subjectivity. Lau writes,

 “But what is the difference between speech that expresses hatred and speech that merely expresses dislike? In a society governed by laws, people should be able to know whether something is lawful before they do it. With this proposed hate speech law, people instead will find out after the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal reaches its decision whether their speech was illegal or not.”

Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada David Lametti tried to assuage these fears by saying, “These changes are designed to target the most egregious and clear forms of hate speech that can lead to discrimination and violence. They do not target simple expressions of dislike or disdain that pepper everyday discourses, especially online.”

However, he added, “[The bill] would allow anyone to take action if they experience hate online. It appears that this bill will be targeted against those who believe aspects of the Bible and who quote it.

This has been a problem in Canada for years. It is just that it looks like it is getting worse.

Big Tech and various Western governments have committed themselves to push the LGBTQ+ agenda.

And that agenda includes stifling opposition to it.

Two weeks ago, a video we posted against promoting LGBTQ issues to children was removed by YouTube under the guise of calling it “Hate Speech” (see YouTube censors and removes BNP video: Disney’s abominable promotions!). I said nothing about hate, but did read scriptures from the Bible calling such matters abominations that can be punished by God. What is bizarre is that I have quoted those same scriptures in YouTube platformed videos for years. And had done so a couple of weeks before getting the Disney’s abominable promotions! video removed. YouTube and others have apparently decided that they can censor religious speech.

Long ago, my wife and I saw the 2002 movie ‘Minority Report.’ In it, government agents would arrest people for crimes that the government said they would commit in the future. Here is some information about it:

Minority Report is a 2002 American neo-noir science fiction action film^[5] directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Tom Cruise, and loosely based on the 1956 short story “The Minority Report” by Philip K. Dick. The picture is set primarily in Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia in the year 2054, where PreCrime, a specialized police department, apprehends criminals based on foreknowledge provided by psychics called “precogs“. We are getting closer to that type of thing in many parts of the world–but instead of ‘precogs” being used, police profiles, internal espionage, use of ‘political’ & religious words, and ‘artificial intelligence ‘ are getting involved.

[6] On June 30, 1997, the Star-Phoenix published an advertisement for certain bumper stickers. The appellant admitted that he placed the advertisement and that, in fact, he had available for sale the bumper stickers that were advertised. The advertisement was simply a copy of one of the bumper stickers with the following words displayed on the bottom of the sticker: “This message can be purchased in bumper sticker form. Please call 306-584-2611.” In fact, this sticker and three similar stickers were offered for sale by the appellant.

[7] The bumper sticker in the advertisement displayed references to four Bible passages: Romans 1, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, on the left side of the sticker. An equal sign (=) was situated in the middle of the sticker, with a symbol on the right side of the sticker. The symbol on the right side was comprised of two males holding hands with the universal symbol of a red circle with a diagonal bar superimposed over top. The Board noted, citing the Court of Appeal in Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission v. Bell (1994), 120 Sask. R. 122, that the red slash and circle is “the universal symbol for forbidden, not allowed or not wanted.” The Bible passages read as follows:

Romans 1:26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to  do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Leviticus 18:22 “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Leviticus 20:13 “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders ….

[8] The complainants and a number of experts in human sexuality, various religions and religious fundamentalism testified as to the message of the sticker and the impact of that message. The Board referred to Canadian (Human Rights Commission) v. Taylor, [1990] 3 S.C.R. 892 and the Bell case, supra, and decided that it had to determine on an objective basis whether the advertisement violated s. 14 of the Code. The Board defined the issue as being “whether or not the effect of the publication of the advertisement exposed or tended to expose to hatred, or otherwise affronted the dignity of gay men and caused or tended to cause others to engage in discriminatory practices against gay men in contravention of Part 2 of the Code.”

[9] In the Bell case, supra, the court dealt with similar stickers. But the Board observed that the representation of gay men was more neutral than the demeaning caricatures used on the stickers considered in the Bell case. It commented that the universal symbol “may itself not communicate hatred.” However, viewing the sticker in its totality, the Board concluded:

The use of the circle and the slash combined with the passages of the Bible herein make the meaning of the advertisement unmistakable. It is clear that the advertisement is intended to make the group depicted appear to be inferior or not wanted at best. When combined with the Biblical quotations, the advertisement may result in a much stronger meaning. It is obvious that certain of the Biblical quotations suggest more dire consequences and there can be no question that the advertisement can objectively be seen as exposing homosexuals to hatred or ridicule.

[10] Having found that the advertisement violated s. 14(1) by exposing homosexuals to hatred or ridicule, the Board cited the Bell case in concluding that the communication was not protected by either of ss. 5 or 14(2) of the Code, which deal with freedom of expression and speech. Nor did s. 14(1) violate s. 2(b) of the Charter, in that the restriction placed on freedom of expression constituted a reasonable limit under s. 1 of the Charter.

In the latest episode of the completely psychotic breakdown of Western values, Canada’s government has just passed a law that champions sexual identity over science…

It’s called C-16, “An Act to Amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code”.

But as usual there are some problems with the law. Not just the new law, in fact, but with Canada’s entire Human Rights Act.

I found a number of articles online stating that this new law “criminalizes the incorrect use of gender pronouns,” i.e. if someone born a “he” chooses to be “she”, and you say “Mr.” instead of “Ms.,” you’re going to jail.

To be clear, that’s NOT what this new law says. But the danger lies in the incredible ambiguity of the entire Human Rights code.

Section (14)(1), for example, states that “it is a discriminatory practice . . . to harass an individual on a prohibited ground of discrimination. . .” which includes race, religion, etc. and now sexual identity.

This is where things start to become unglued.

Because if your brain is wired anything like mine, you’re probably thinking, “OK, fine, but what constitutes ‘harassment’ ?”

I’m glad you asked. Because Canada’s Human Rights Commission gives us a rather ominous definition:

 “[Harassment] involves any unwanted physical or verbal behaviour that offends or humiliates you.”

So in theory, yes, using incorrect gender pronouns could constitute harassment if it offends somebody, and this is a violation of Canada’s Human Rights and Criminal codes.

I’m unclear when ‘not being offended’ became an inalienable human right.

I’m a prolific student of history, but I’m afraid I must have missed that chapter in the development of Western Civilization.

The Canadian government has long had issues ignoring biblical morality.

The Bible warns against not only sexual immorality, but approving it:

Canada is not benefiting from homosexuality or the transgender agenda. I would suspect that the Battle River School board objects to Romans 1 as well.

Can anything like what is happening in Canada happen in the USA?

Supposedly not as here is what the Bill of Rights in the US Constitution states:

These rights are given to all men or women under trial for any sort of wrongdoing. They establish the “innocent until proven guilty” mantra that is present in the United States legal system.

Yet on this point, the USA has been changing. Federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and the Internal Revenue Service long ago put the burden of proof of innocent on the accused–despite the 6th amendment.

Of course, it’s an elaborate setup: we’ll all be targets.

In such a suspect society, the burden of proof is reversed so that guilt is assumed and innocence must be proven.

It’s the American police state’s take on the dystopian terrors foreshadowed by George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and Phillip K. Dick all rolled up into one oppressive pre-crime and pre-thought crime package.

What’s more, the technocrats who run the surveillance state don’t even have to break a sweat while monitoring what you say, what you read, what you write, where you go, how much you spend, whom you support, and with whom you communicate.

Computers now do the tedious work of trolling social media, the internet, text messages and phone calls for potentially anti-government remarks, all of which is carefully recorded, documented, and stored to be used against you someday at a time and place of the government’s choosing.

In this way, with the help of automated eyes and ears, a growing arsenal of high-tech software, hardware and techniques, government propaganda urging Americans to turn into spies and snitches, as well as social media and behavior sensing software, government agents are spinning a sticky spider-web of threat assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, flagged “words,” and “suspicious” activity reports aimed at snaring potential enemies of the state. …

The following activities are guaranteed to get you censored, surveilled, eventually placed on a government watch list, possibly detained and potentially killed.

Use harmless trigger words like cloud, pork and pirates: The Department of Homeland Security has an expansive list of keywords and phrases it uses to monitor social networking sites and online media for signs of terrorist or other threats. While you’ll definitely send up an alert for using phrases such as dirty bomb, Jihad and Agro terror, you’re just as likely to get flagged for surveillance if you reference the terms SWAT, lockdown, police, cloud, food poisoning, pork, flu, Subway, smart, delays, cancelled, la familia, pirates, hurricane, forest fire, storm, flood, help, ice, snow, worm, warning or social media.

Use a cell phone: Simply by using a cell phone, you make yourself an easy target for government agents—… Mention any of the so-called “trigger” words in a conversation or text message, and you’ll get flagged for sure.

The Biden-Harris Administration is pushing in that direction.

No church I am aware of teaches their congregants to hate LGBTQ+ people. Yet, the Biden-Harris plan has determined that it is ‘hate’ to not go along with their view of sexual morality. They do not truly believe in religious freedom–they want to control religion.

Of course, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are not the only USA leaders pushing this. A few years ago, something was proposed in California that looked to try to do that–specifically Canada has been opposed to quoting Romans 1:18-32, Leviticus 18:22, and Leviticus 20:13. Banning the Bible?

Could we see a ban of the Holy Bible in North America? Have there been partial bans proposed and enforced by government officials in Canada? Do any USA politicians consider any biblical teachings as fraudulent and hence banning them is NOT a violation of the 1st amendment to the Constitution of the USA? Are there risks associated with AB 2943? Have politicians like Hillary Clinton and California Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi called for long-held religious beliefs to change and “evolve with the times”? What about Jude 1:3 and 2 Timothy 3:14? Are there biblical prophecies about not being able to hear the word of God? Might we see more restrictions on explaining teachings of the Bible on the Internet and other forms of media? What are some of the verses that various government people do not want made public? Dr. Thiel provides facts on these issues and more.

YouTube uses terms like “community standards” to try to cover up its biases and censorship.
