Obama ending ‘war on terror’

US President Obama stated that he is basically ending the ‘war on terror’ and some are questioning that:

Should President Obama end the war on terror?…
Animating many of the president’s proposals was a stated desire to “discipline our thinking and our actions” and to move America away from a “perpetual wartime footing” that has held sway for nearly 12 years, since Congress passed an Authorization to Use Military Force [AUMF] in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
The president pledged to “work with Congress” to “refine and ultimately repeal” the AUMF, warning that a strategy of “perpetual war – through drones or special forces or troop deployments – will prove self-defeating, and alter our country in troubling ways.”

Obama thinks we won the War on Terror and it’s time to move on
President Obama delivered what was billed by the White House as a “major” speech on national security Thursday at the historic National Defense University. In short, Mr. Obama thinks the War on Terror is over, and he won it. There may be a few final details to mop about, but it’s time to move on to more important things…the president said drone strikes have killed “dozens of skilled Al Qaeda” fighters and taken them off the battlefield…If the drone strikes have been as effective as Mr. Obama claims, why are there more terrorists in more places than before as has Al Qaeda and its affiliates have set up shop in new countries? 4 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-20)
In my book Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States-Second Edition for Second Obama Term, I warned:
The U.S.A. itself is vulnerable to EMP type attacks and they and/or items such as biological weapons, chemical weapons, terrorism, nuclear weapons, dirty bombs, etc. could affect the U.S.A. because of a conflict involving Iran, Syria, and/or others)…writings suggest that the end of the U.S.A. will thus be in the 21st century. And as far as Asian forces go, this could be interpreted to include terrorists from places like Afghanistan and other parts of Asia…
Civil unrest will occur, though that is likely to increase further after he is out of office. Terrorism will occur, though that too is likely to increase further after he is out of office.
The steps to dismantle the ‘war on terrorism’ may will cause terrorism to increase once Barack Obama is out of office. I would also add the the Obama Administration’s support of groups with ties to the Sunni organization, the Muslim Brotherhood will also likely be factors in major terrorism affecting the USA. Psalm 83:3-8 tells of a conspiracy coming by nations that are currently primarily Sunni Muslim and that will not end well for the United States, Israel, or their Anglo-allies such as the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
Jesus foretold troubles as part of the beginning of sorrows:
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)
3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. (Revelation 6:3-4)
Terrorism and attempts at it certainly qualify as troubles. Terrorism is not over.
And an even worse hour of trial is coming later (Revelation 3:10; Jeremiah 30:7).
As Jesus said:
37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! (Mark 13:36-37)
