Protests in Germany, France, and Spain

There are still protests and calls for them in Germany following the devastating car attack by an Arab last Friday night:
Magdeburg: Parties clash amid calls to bolster security
23 December 2024
After a driver plowed into a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, killing five people, concerns have been raised about public safety and intelligence gaps. …
Politicians across the spectrum, from the far-left to the far-right, are calling for enhanced security measures. …
Prosecutors said the number of injured in the Magdeburg Christmas market attack has risen to as many as 235 as more people have reported to hospitals and doctors.
It is, however, possible there was some double-counting of the figures. …
Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) is set to hold a rally in Magdeburg on Monday evening. …
In an invitation to the event, the AfD claimed that the recent attack highlights the dangers of Germany’s immigration policy.
On Saturday, scuffles broke out at a far-right rally in the city, billed as a “demonstration against terror” and attended by more than 2,000 people.
Protesters held up a large banner bearing the word “immigration,” a term popular with anti-immigration extremists seeking the mass deportation of migrants. https://www.dw.com/en/magdeburg-parties-clash-amid-calls-to-bolster-security/live-71139565
Germany After Magdeburg: The AfD‘s Call for Massive Street Protests
A reflection on maximizing tension and street violence against the backdrop of modern European history: Is the far-right’s strategy working?
December 23, 2024
Tino Chrupalla, co-leader of the AfD far-right German Party that has just been endorsed by Elon Musk, has promised to turn Magdeburg into a European center of extremist political mobilization. …
He has posted endless attacks on Islamists on social media, endorsed the AfD and made the same accusations as Chrupalla about the laxity of the German authorities’ handling of immigration after Angela Merkel’s disastrous decision to allow more than a million Syrians to enter Germany in 2015. …
The issue of immigration, Islam and xenophobia is the same all over Europe — and has provided political oxygen to the leaders of 21st century far-right parties. https://www.theglobalist.com/germany-europe-far-right-protests-magdeburg-attack-germany-afd-uk-france/
German far-right political party Alternative for Germany (AfD) is calling for a major rally following the attack at a Christmas market in Magdeburg which left several people dead and hundreds injured.
At a memorial site for the victims, AfD co-leader Tino Chrupalla called on Interior Minister Nancy Faeser to take stronger action to ensure the safety of the German public.
“I am now demanding answers from the interior minister: What is actually going on here in this country? What is actually happening in this country? We put up with it week after week, we put up with attacks, we put up with murders of our own people. This has to be cleared up now, and these phrases from politicians that things can’t go on like this, which I’ve heard again today, are actually upsetting,” Chrupalla told the press at the site.
Experts are now raising concerns that far-right groups could exploit the tragedy to fuel their anti-immigration rhetoric after police identified the assailant as a doctor from Saudi Arabia. https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/12/21/germanys-far-right-afd-party-calls-for-major-rally-following-magdeburg-attack
There is a lot of anti-immigrant sentiment in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. Protests about Islamic immigrants is something warned about here for many years.

The deportation of immigrants is often referred to as remigration by various ones. Remigration cries have escalated in the past few days.
But these are not the only protests in Europe this month.
There have been protests against the Mercosur agreement in parts of Europe.
EU-Mercosur trade deal riles European farmers
A few days after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen inked a long-pending trade agreement with four Latin American nations, French farmers were back on the streets dumping manure. This time they parked the tractors near the tunnel in Calais that goes through the English Channel. 12/17/24 https://www.dw.com/en/eu-mercosur-trade-deal-riles-european-farmers/a-71071869
Tens of thousands of Spanish farmers protested in Madrid on Monday, expressing their rejection of the EU-Mercosur trade agreement, which they say creates unfair competition between the two trading blocs.
The agreement, which has yet to be ratified by the parliaments on both sides, will weaken the agriculture sector in Europe, said Miguel Padilla, the secretary general of COAG, one of Spain’s main farmer’s organisations. 12/17/24 https://www.euractiv.com/section/politics/news/spanish-farmers-protest-eu-mercosur-deal/
The idea that there would be protests in Europe regarding Mercosur was mentioned here last month when I posted, “If the EU-Mercosur deal is approved, there will be protests in parts of Europe” (see China says no-one will win a trade war, as Quebec leader wants to do all possible to stop Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs).
The protests in Germany and other parts of Europe brought to mind the following old Roman Catholic prophecy sometimes ascribed to one they call “Mother Shipton”:
Old English Prophecy (On a tombstone at the Kirby cemetery, Essex).
When pictures look alive, with movements free,
(T.V. and movies)When ships like fish swim beneath the sea,
(Submarines)When outstripping birds can soar in the sky
(Jets and rockets)The half the world drenched in blood shall die…
In Germany begins a dance,
Which passes through Italy, Spain, and France,
But England shall pay the piper.(Dupont Y. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), 1973, pp. 21-22)
Notice the timing was to occur basically after the invention of movies and television.
What kind of a dance is to begin in Germany?
One that will change Europe.
There are other Greco-Roman Catholic writings tell of a time when disturbances in Europe will result in the rise of a ruler that resembles the Prince who becomes King of the North and Beast of biblical prophecies.
For example, notice something from the Book of Daniel:
26 … And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate. (Daniel 9:26-27)
In Daniel 9, the prince who confirms the covenant is shown to break it. When he breaks it (Daniel 11:31) he is called the King of the North (Daniel 11:40).
Notice a couple of Roman Catholic prophecies about violence coming to Europe and a leader arising:
Monk Hilarion (d. 1476): The people of the Peninsula of Europe will suffer by unnecessary wars until the Holy Man comes … (Culleton R. Gerald. The Reign of Antichrist, Reprint TAN Books, Rockford, IL, 1974, p. 137)
Brother Louis Rocco (19th century): All over Europe there will rage terrible civil wars…The German sections of Austria will join Germany, so will also the commercial cities of Belgium and Switzerland. A Catholic descendant of a German imperial house will rule a united Germany with peace, prosperity and great power, for God will be with this sovereign (the Great Monarch?)…A Great Monarch will arise after a period of terrible wars and persecutions in Europe. He will be a Catholic; (Culleton, p. 195).
Roman Catholic prophecies tell of the rise of a prince:
Sister Marianne Gaultier (18th century): “… When all shall appear lost, all will be saved … It is then that the Prince shall reign, whom people did not esteem before, but whom they shall then seek. The triumph of religion shall be so great that no one has ever seen the equal (Dupont Y. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), 1973, p. 75).
Notice something Roman Catholic prophecies claim he will do:
Rudolph Gekner (died 1675). “A great prince of the North with a most powerful army will traverse all Europe, uproot all republics, and exterminate all rebels. His sword moved by Divine power … and shall subdue to his dominion the Mahometan Empire. A new pastor of the universal church will come from the shore (of Dalmatia) through a celestial prodigy, and in simplicity of heart adorned with the doctrines of Jesus Christ. Peace will come to the world.” (Connor, p.36).
The Bible tells of one called the King of the North who ends up taken over lands that are now dominated by Islam:
40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. (Daniel 11:40-43)
Notice also the following Roman Catholic prophecy:
St. Francis de Paul (1470): … the Great Monarch…He shall be a great captain and prince of holy men, who shall be called ‘the holy Cross-bearers of Jesus Christ,’ with whom he will destroy the Mahometan sect and the rest of the infidels…He shall be the great founder of a new religious order different from all the others…This shall be the last religious order in the Church and shall do more good for our holy religion than all other religious institutes. By force of arms he shall take possession of a great kingdom. He shall destroy the sect of Mahomet…There will be one fold, one shepherd. He shall reign until the end of time. On the whole earth there will be twelve kings, one emperor and one pope. (Culleton, pp. 157-161).
Notice now, something else that the Bible teaches about the coming King of the North:
38 … he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know (Daniel 11:38)
The coming King of the North will likely feign some version of Roman Catholicism and change it. It is not too difficult for a Roman Catholic to establish “a new religious order” as one of my great-aunts did that last century.
Notice also that he will destroy the strongest military power:
39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)
The strongest military power currently is the English-speaking United States of America (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses). The “great kingdom” that the Francis de Paul said would be conquered also sounds like the United States.
Here are some more Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies related to this Great Monarch and the ‘English’:
Werdin d’ Otrante (13th century): “The Great Monarch and the Great Pope will precede Antichrist…All the sects will vanish. The capital of the world will fall…The Great Monarch will come and restore peace and the Pope will share in the victory.” (Connor, Edward. Prophecy for Today. Imprimatur + A.J. Willinger, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno; Reprint: Tan Books and Publishers, Rockford (IL), 1984, p. 33).
Saint Cataldus of Tarentino (c. 500): “The Great Monarch will be in war till he is forty years of age …. he will assemble great armies and expel tyrants from his empire. He will conquer England and other island empires” (Connor, p.30).
St. Columbine (d. 597): The enemies of the English shall be aroused in battle–they who reside in the eastern and western parts of the world … the English shall be defeated … After the English shall be defeated in this battle, they shall be harassed by every quarter; like a fawn surrounded by a pack of voracious hounds, shall be the position of the English amidst their enemies. The English afterwards shall dwindle down to a disreputable people (Culleton, R. Gerald. The Prophets and Our Times. Nihil Obstat: L. Arvin. Imprimatur: Philip G. Scher, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno, November 15, 1941. Reprint 1974, TAN Books, Rockford (IL), pp. 131,132).
Note: it is possible that the “capital of the world” above being referred to is Washington D.C. or the United States of America. Also note that England was not known by that name in the 500s, hence the prophecy that mentions it would have used a different term in its original language that the Roman Catholic translator apparently has concluded is modern England or those who are/speak English.
There are numerous Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies that point to a European leader who will arise after turmoil in Europe and destroy a strong English-speaking power that sounds like the USA.
While the Bible warns against the coming King of the North, Greco-Roman prophecies look forward to him and often call him the ‘Great Monarch.’
Both Roman Catholic and biblical prophecy teach that this leader will be a European, probably at least partially of German heritage and he will rise up after chaos in Europe and will fight those of the Arab/Muslim lands.
The Bible teaches this leader will be militaristic and calls him the Beast of the Sea in Revelation 13:1-4.
There will be more protests and unrest in Europe.
This will set the stage for the rise of the Beast.
Now, you might ask, “Why are any of the Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies of relevance to Christians?”
Because, as the Apostle Paul wrote, we are not to be ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11).
The old Radio Church of God saw aspects of Satan’s Plan in the Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies (see Christ or Antichrist? and Will You Be Deceived by Antichrist?), as did the old Worldwide Church of God (see Mary, the Mother of Jesus and the Apparitions). The old Radio Church of God also cited Mayan, Indian, and Chinese prophecies as well (see History Documents Jesus Christ!) and the old Worldwide Church of God also cited the ‘prophetic’ Mayan Popol Vuh (Freibergs G. How Many Creators? Tomorrow’s World, April 1971), which is something I cited in one of my books.
The Church of God wants people to be warned about what will happen.
In 21st century, the Continuing Church of God points these predictions out to warn people because of the time of greater deception that the Apostle Paul warned about in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 and 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4.
When various events occur and the Beast leader arises, many will be deceived and conclude that he is not warned against in the Bible, but instead is one that their demonically-influenced prophets has said will rise up to lead them.
When the King of the North succeeds against the USA (Daniel 11:39) and the Muslims (Daniel 11:40-43) and in other matters, nearly everyone will fall for this deceit according to scriptures such as 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12.
While the current protests are not enough for him to rise yet, the stage is being set.
