Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton top a poll in be presidential nominees

Republican US Senator Rand Paul and Democratic former Senator Hillary Clinton have topped a new poll:

Sen. Rand Paul leads the GOP 2016 pack, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is more likely to be perceived as capable of handling crises than is President Barack Obama, according to new survey data released Sunday.

A CNN/ORC International survey found Paul the slight favorite for his party’s nomination, with 16 percent of those polled on the question tapping the Kentucky Republican as their choice for the 2016 GOP nod. He was closely followed, within the margin of error, by 2012 vice presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who pulled in 15 percent; and Texas Gov. Rick Perry, with 11 percent…

On the other side of the aisle, Clinton was the prohibitive Democratic favorite according to the survey, clocking in with 63 percent support for the 2016 presidential nod. Washington (CNN) – Rand Paul has done something his father never did – top the list of potential Republican presidential candidates in a national poll.

Both leaders, Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton, seem very far apart politically.

There are biblical reasons that either could become the USA president, though I believe various reasons point stronger towards one candidate now. I also believe that if the other candidate got elected, we would see civil unrest quicker than otherwise may happen.

This poll is not a surprise, but it is still too early to know who will win. Although she has taken steps consistent with one who would run for president in 2016, Hillary Clinton has not declared that she would. If she does run and win, I believe that she will help fulfill several prophecies (see Hillary Clinton in Prophecy).

Because of the timing of the next USA election and God’s 6000 years of allowing humanity to rule itself is almost over, whoever wins in 2016 will be apocalyptic.

Here are some reasons:

Since the Roe vs. Wade pro-abortion decision, the USA has became the greatest debtor nation in the history of humankind. Since the USA owes alien nations trillions of dollars, it appears that the curse in Deuteronomy 28:44 of having to borrow from aliens is happening to it now. Hillary Clinton supports the Roe vs. Wade decision (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy) and Rand Paul has a hands off approach, which essentially means he will not try to overturn it.
The Bible specifically warns about women ruling over a nation (Isaiah 3:12).
Both of their positions on homosexual marriage are destructive (Romans 1:18-32).
Hillary Clinton has indicated that she will increase additional regulatory burdens (cf. Matthew 23:3-5) and legal changes that reduce the amount of freedom that U.S.A. citizens once had.
Hillary Clinton’s mistatements and ‘memory lapses’ in certain scandals suggest that she is not always honest. And this may cause people to groan (Proverbs 29:2).
Hillary Clinton’s has not taken a stand against ‘quantitative easing’ and, despite certain statements about debt, she has supported policies that have increased the debt of the USA–this is dangerous (Habakkuk 2:6-8).
Rand Paul’s isolationist positions and statements about cutting USA military spending will make the USA susceptible to takeover if he is able to implement them (cf. Daniel 11:39).
The Great Tribulation cannot begin until at least 2017, and that could be a year that Hillary Clinton or Rand Paul could become president. Either may take military, economic, cultural, and other steps that could lead to it if in office then (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2014, 2015, or 2016? you can also see the video The Great Tribulation Will Not Begin Before 2017). Her timing could be close to the end of the 6000 years before the start of the Great Tribulation (see Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What the USA needs is national repentance, and that is not something that the current USA President Barack Obama, or any of the currently leading candidates to replace him have seriously called for.
