Ronald Weinland’s 6 6 6
VS.
The Bible warns of a beast power whose number is six hundred sixty and six (Revelation 13:18). And although he is not that particular beast, let’s consider three sixes about Ronald Weinland.
First Six
For over six years, I have warned that the self-proclaimed prophet/Elijah/one of the two witnesses, CGPFK/CGPKG’s Ronald Weinland was a false prophet and that he would be wrong on many points. So far, I have been correct on all of my posted assessments and he has been wrong about every one of his predictions I refuted.
And while that has helped many realize the error of his pronouncements, not all have heeded the biblical analyses I have made of him, as sadly, he still has followers.
Second Six
According to numerous statements from Ron Weinland, Jesus is to return 6 weeks from today. Here are two from him:
And so because of the 50th Truth and the understanding that God has given us of Christ’s return on Pentecost, May 27, 2012 we also came to understand the true date for the sealing of the 144,000 that was to precede Christ’s reign by 1335 days – which again is covered in the book of Daniel at the end of those verses that we were reading earlier…(Weinland R. More Time, Pt. 1 Sermon, June 26, 2010)
we (Church of God – PKG) hold fast to the conviction that Jesus Christ is returning as King of kings on May 27th of this year, it is understood that others fully disbelieve that such is possible in only a short time.(Weinland R. Online letter, February 10, 2012)
Yet, Jesus will not be returning six weeks from today. It is not possible for Jesus to return that soon, nor did the 1335 days begin on September 30, 2008, the 7th seal beginning the 1290 days, or the 1st Trumpet (which for him started the 1260 days of the Great Tribulation) begin on December 14, 2008 as Ron Weinland has also claimed.
Notice also what Jesus said:
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:15-22)
When will Ronald Weinland’s followers realize that the period since December 14, 2008 has not met Jesus’ criteria as Ronald Weinland has falsely claimed. In his 2/25/12 sermon, he basically also claims that it is an error to expect physical/literal interpretations of much of end time prophecy.
According to the Bible, and even certain statements by Ronald Weinland, the two witnesses are supposed to die in Jerusalem several days before Jesus returns. Notice what the Bible teaches:
7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. 13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. (Revelation 11:7-13)
The world had not been so tormented by Ronald Weinland and his wife Laura that the Beast will kill them, followed by the world have a party to celebrate this. Only an exceedingly small portion of the world has heard of Ronald Weinland, and even less his wife Laura (however, unless he repents, he might spin comments from online critics as “proof” that the world celebrated his “spiritual death”).
Here is what Ronald Weinland himself has claimed about himself and the related scriptures in Revelation:
It is now with boldness, confidence and great clarity that I give to you what God has given me. I am to announce, through God’s direct revelation, that I am one of those two witnesses. The other witness will be revealed to the world during the time of the great tribulation—within the final three and one-half years of man’s era. During that period of time, we will, together, completely fulfill all that God has given us to witness to this whole earth. Then, at the end, we will die in the streets of Jerusalem; and finally, exactly three and one-half days later, we will be resurrected (Revelation 11). The world will see this resurrection via television. At this same time Jesus Christ will appear in the heavens above the earth as He is returning to take the reigns of man’s government on earth. (Weinland R. 2008: God’s Final Witness, p. 16)
So this verse clearly shows that these two anointed ones of God have a specific time to do the primary thrust of their work. They know the exact day that Jesus Christ will return because they know their final work will last exactly 1,260 days. It is exactly at this point that they will be killed:
And when they [the two witnesses] shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit [Satan through his influence on men] shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified [in Jerusalem]. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three and one-half days [via television], and their dead bodies shall not be allowed to be put in graves. (Revelation 11:7-9)
These two prophets of God will complete the work that God has given them to do, then they will be killed in the streets of Jerusalem. Their bodies will remain in the streets of Jerusalem for three and one-half days while the world watches via television. Then the unbelievable will happen. Many in the world, who still will not believe they are whom they say they are, will receive a very rude awakening. After all, if they remain dead beyond three and one-half days, then they cannot be of God.
After three and one-half days the Spirit of life from God entered into them [the two witnesses] and they stood upon their feet. Then great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, “Come up here.” And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud and their enemies saw this happening to them. (Revelation 11:11-12)
These two prophets of God are resurrected from the dead, in the sight of all who are watching, and rise up into the heavens of the atmosphere of this earth. It is in this same time-frame that a massive resurrection of 144,000 also rise to meet Jesus Christ. The 144,000 will return with Christ on this same day after the seven last plagues are poured out upon the earth. It is at the beginning of this same day that the return of Jesus Christ becomes visible to the whole world. (Weinland R. 2008: God’s Final Witness, pp. 22-23)
Unless they kill themselves or accidentally die or somehow get killed, it is likely that Ron and Laura will have a type of spiritual death (at minimum for being wrong). And perhaps this will be how Ron Weinland might spin this. He may then claim that there is more “new truth” like that he and Laura were spiritually resurrected, God has granted the world more time as it did not get enough of a witness, 7000 died spiritually (unless there happens to be a killer earthquake and he claims this is the one physical event that proves his spiritualizing away of other events), etc.
Ronald Weinland has had a history of trying to “spiritualize” away his errors, while trying to point to anything physical that might be spun as fulfilling prophecy.
Of course, his remaining followers, so far, have seemed to accept such similar “explanations” in the past.
Third Six
Six days after he is proven wrong again about Jesus’ return, will be Saturday June 2, 2012. His remaining followers would likely gather together for church services and probably discuss events under Ronald Weinland. They might note that he did not die, nor have his and his wife’s bodies seen by the world, and nor then seen by the world being resurrected.
Of course, Ronald Weinland may publicly repent (or at least change his date) by then. And we will learn, presuming he still preaches or somehow communicates what his new, new position will be.
If his followers paid attention to his actual words and the Bible they would have realized long ago that he was false. Since they seem to overlook the literal meaning of many scriptures, perhaps they should realize what Ronald Weinland taught in his March 12, 2011 sermon:
So, if I’m not a prophet I’ll reason with you accordingly and be open with you about it…
So often for those who do not believe that I’m a prophet, the question is asked, “What will you do if these things do not come to pass?” And I’m going to answer that more fully in this particular sermon today…
So again, some cannot wait for me to say that I am not a prophet, or to say that I am a false prophet. Indeed, no one has long to wait do they? Isn’t that amazing? May 27, 2012 is not too far away and if Europe hasn’t risen by early 2012 and if China does not begin destroying the earth before that date, then the reality would be manifest much sooner, obviously. You don’t have to wait until 2012.
As far as the question they ask; what would I do? Well, first I’d repent before God and the Church. I’d acknowledge my sin and pray that God have mercy upon me for being so horribly presumptuous. Candidly (and some are going to really hate hearing this), I’d deeply repent of all those things that concern prophecies that I have given in the office of a prophet BUT I’d seek to hold fast to all that I believe with all my being to be true concerning the word of God. I would begin to go back through all 57 Truths (and I’d hope others would do exactly the same thing), IF… just to be open about it. I’d go back through all 57 Truths and eliminate those that are shown to be untrue, repenting as I did so; but I would hold fast to all that I believed to be true. (Weinland R. A Final Plea, With Judgment – Pt. 1. March 12, 2011)
Europe has not risen sufficiently up and China is not destroying the earth (beyond pollution, etc.), thus according to Ronald Weinland, he, already, should: ” acknowledge my sin and pray that God have mercy upon me for being so horribly presumptuous.” Instead, about three months ago he posted:
As a matter of other dates that God revealed to me, through Jesus Christ, it was given earlier that Trumpets of 2008 was the beginning of the 1335 day count in the Book of Daniel that leads up to the return of Jesus Christ on May 27, 2012. The day of Christ’s return is on Pentecost which pictures the 144,000 who will return with him to reign on earth, and the beginning of this announcement to the Church was on Trumpets (2008) which announces the coming of the Messiah as King of kings. How awesome is that to understand? (Weinland R. Seventy Weeks Prophecy. Online letter, January 12, 2012)
Cannot his followers see his blatant errors and refusal to again publicly repent?
Of course, the facts have not stopped those who still follow him (they have stopped some from following him in the past and hopefully when Jesus does not return on May 27, 2012, most of his current followers will wake up to the truth). Ronald Weinland either will publicly repent near then or claim that God has been merciful and given more time–and, as I indicated above, perhaps he will claim one or more new “truths.” But no matter what he says, Ronald Weinland is not God’s prophet nor one of the two witnesses.
For those unfamiliar with him, Ronald Weinland was a minister in the old old Worldwide Church of God, then he was in the United Church of God for a while. Since then, he has been on his own.
The Bible teaches:
20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 “And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’– 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:19-22).
Ronald Weinland will also, no later that May 28, 2012 be proven wrong that Jesus, according to him, is supposed to return on May, 27, 2012.
More will have to change with Ronald Weinland. He will have to change his explanations as he is running of out time. Perhaps he will keep his word this time, admit his error, and repent. Perhaps he will do something like Seventh-day Adventist Ellen White and claim that Jesus somehow came spiritually. Ronald Weinland may also claim that the Great Tribulation was spiritual (which to a degree he has already done). Or say something that we all should be grateful that the merciful God has given the world/church more time as He has granted more grace (and he has done something like that in the past).
We will see how Ron Weinland handles his error this time. But no matter what he says and does, Jesus will NOT return in 2012.
6 plus years of accurate reporting exposing Ronald Weinland’s false prophecies should be enough to show all he is a false prophet.
6 weeks until his May 27, 2012 date for Jesus’ return is proven false.
6 days later, what excuse will his remaining followers make?
Any who are following him because they believe that Ronald Weinland is right and that Jesus will return on May 27, 2012 will hopefully stop following him by May 28, 2012, if not before.
