Welcome to the Censorship Industrial Complex. It’s rather like the old “military industrial complex,” which was shorthand for the military, private companies, and academia working together to achieve U.S. battlefield dominance, with the R&D funded by the government that buys the final product.
But the censorship industrial complex builds algorithms, not bombers. The players aren’t Raytheon and Boeing, but social media companies, tech startups, and universities and their institutes. The foes to be dominated are American citizens whose opinions diverge from government narratives on issues ranging from COVID-19 responses to electoral fraud to transgenderism. …
More telling is the group’s attitude toward what it called “mal-information” – typically information that is true, but contrary to the preferred narratives of the censor. Dr. Starbird wrote in an email, “Unfortunately current public discourse (in part a result of information operations) seems to accept malinformation as ‘speech’ and within democratic norms …” Therein lies a dilemma for the censors, as Starbird wrote: “So, do we bend into a pretzel to counter bad faith efforts to undermine CISA’s mission? Now, let me add that it is worsening with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will give governments and Big Tech ways to remove content quickly as well as to categorize people based on what AI considers to be a threat.
Let me add, that even before AI, Facebook was categorizing people politically in a manner that reminds me of the social credit score that China and some other lands have been utilizing.

The ruling classes of the globe have been working hard at weaponizing artificial intelligence against the American public. It won’t be long before AI starts censoring posts and the rulers will claim they had no part in it, it was all the AI.
Recently, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), by way of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), gave millions of dollars to an AI tech company in exchange for software that can detect sentiment and emotion in social media posts. The company, Fivecast, claims the software uses AI to determine “problematic posts” and automatically report them to law enforcement. …

What we can be sure of is that AI is not going anywhere and the ruling classes are going to continue using it to enslave everyone. Well, yes it will get worse.
But already we are seeing massive censorship.
A couple of years back, YouTube removed one of our videos warning against Disney’s promotion of perversion to children as a violation of its “community standards” (see YouTube censors and removes BNP video: Disney’s abominable promotions!). Last century, Disney may have been eligible for being prosecuted for promoting something we denounced.
Recently, YouTube removed our video that reported about a study done by University of Florida researchers on transgenderism, where we also quoted scriptures (see YouTube censors and removes ‘New Transgender Study’ as the ‘Censorship Industrial Complex’ expands). YouTube removed it for being “inappropriate.” No, it is not inappropriate to tell the truth, but YouTube feels otherwise. Actually, it seems to think that referring to a study as well as scripture “may cause harm to its community.” I submitted an appeal to YouTube about that a couple of hours ago–we will see what happens.
YouTube also censored and removed our video encouraging people to be healthier to strengthen their immune systems (see YouTube censors: COVID-19: Eat what is good!). When I asked YouTube if I had made any inaccurate statements, its response was that was not the issue, the issue was that my comments did not align with narratives they preferred.
Furthermore, in 2022, YouTube retroactively censored and removed a video made in 2019 warning about difficult to treat pestilences that would come. Of course, a pestilence did come, but apparently YouTube did not want anyone to know I made such a warning.
Since we do not trust YouTube’s improper enforcement of its changing standards, we already had it up on other platforms, so it is still available. Here is a link to it from our BitChute platform: Superbugs, antibiotics, and vaccines. We also have the other videos up on BitChute and other platforms.
But they are still subject to be being taken down.
While the USA government tends to deny that it has been involved in pressuring Big Tech, including YouTube, to censor, the facts are that is has done so. Elon Musk, who owns X (formerly called Twitter) revealed that the US government often pressured Twitter to censor. Executives from Facebook and other Big Tech firms have publicly admitted that as well. Notice also the following:

A federal appeals court on Friday said the Biden administration likely violated the First Amendment in some of its communications with social media companies, but also narrowed a lower court judge’s order on the matter.
The US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that certain administration officials – namely in the White House, the surgeon general, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation – likely “coerced or significantly encouraged social media platforms to moderate content” in violation of the First Amendment in its efforts to combat Covid-19 disinformation.
But the three-judge panel said the preliminary injunction issued by US District Judge Terry Doughty in July, which ordered some Biden administration agencies and top officials not to communicate with social media companies about certain content, was “both vague and broader than necessary to remedy the Plaintiffs’ injuries, as shown at this preliminary juncture.” https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/08/politics/biden-administration-social-media-lawsuit/index.html
So much for so-called first amendment rights and the US government.
The Bible has long taught that a famine of the word is coming (Amos 8:11-12) and I have warned for years that internet censorship would be part of it (see also Preparing for the ‘Short Work’ and The Famine of the Word).
Sadly, we look to only be in the first stages of this prophesied censorship.
The Bible tells of a time, which to a degree we are now in, when a certain amount of self-censorship will be needed:
2 For I know your manifold transgressions And your mighty sins: Afflicting the just and taking bribes; Diverting the poor from justice at the gate. 13 Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time. (Amos 5:12-13)
And while some Church of God groups overly “keep silent,” hence pull-punches in proclamation, the reality is that there is not truly full freedom of truthful speech in countries like the USA without consequences. However, the work will be done and it will trigger persecution.
That being said, remember that Jesus said:
4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4)
Following His example, as we long have not trusted YouTube, that is a reason we use other channels, like BitChute and Brighteon. Both of which have the censored videos up.
In Europe, however, they are more open about their censorship plans than the US government is or the Big Tech wants to publicly admit.
The European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA) is another step towards this and 666 controls. I do not see that the DSA really protects consumers as much as it forces controls against internet content that the EU does not wish to allow.

And that is precisely what they want.
From this point forward, if you post something that they do not like, they will have the power to have it taken down.
Even if you don’t live in the European Union, they can have your content taken down, because someone in the European Union might see it. …
Once we get to February 24th, 2024, the Digital Services Act will also apply to a vast multitude of smaller platforms.
At that point, it will be very difficult to escape the reach of this new law. …
For many years, the Internet was one of the last bastions for free speech.

The EU has made the penalties for non-compliance so severe that social media companies will have to censor a lot to reduce the chances of fines.
It also has issues with religion and that seems to affected companies such as Google in its advertisement policies.
The Continuing Church of God has had over a half billion computer impressions of its campaigns through Google ads, and that has been suspended, not because of hateful or inaccurate speech, but because the ads have to do with religious beliefs.
That is advertising policy, you may think and think you cannot be much affected by any of this and that you still have free speech rights on the internet.
While you might think that your “private” chats on the internet will not be bothered or that Artificial Intelligence will not be used, notice the following:

Games publisher Activision has announced that it will use artificial intelligence to listen in on the voice chat of ‘Call of Duty’ players and punish anyone using “hate speech” or “discriminatory language.”
The feature was rolled out on Wednesday for US players of Call Of Duty’s ‘Modern Warfare II’ and ‘Warzone’ titles, and will be launched globally with ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’ on November 10.

I have never played ‘Call of Duty,’ but the fact that the German supplier feels that it must now be able to take down chats among gamers, in my view, points to the long reach of the DSA.
As far as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) goes, we have put out numerous videos over the years warning about its potential and expectation of totalitarian 666 abuse (watch Artificial Intelligence and Prophecy, ChatGPT and 666, AI Jesus? Artificial Intelligence God?, and Is AI in the Bible?).
Europe keeps taking steps along the lines of 666 controls. The Digital Services Act reminds me of the following:
18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. (2 Peter 2:18-20)
But, of course, it is not just the European Union. Big Tech has its own agenda and has been suppressing information, including political information, it does not like. One apparent goal of Big Tech is to remove a variety of biblically-related content because it does not like many aspects of biblical morality (such as what I reported here yesterday; see: YouTube censors and removes ‘New Transgender Study’ as the ‘Censorship Industrial Complex’ expands).
The DSA is another step towards expanding what has been called the Censorship Industrial Complex.
As far as the EU goes, back in November 2018, the European Union announced it would spend a billion euros on a quantum computer and several billion more on related matters (see EU to spend one billion euros on quantum tech to compete with USA and China; France’s Macron wants European military spending to go to European firms; ‘Europe Must Rebel’).
The spending, along with the DSA, is getting the Europeans to the point that they can fulfill various prophecies, such as the following:
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)
The totalitarian ability to control buying and selling to the degree listed above was not possible when Jesus had the Apostle John pen the Book of the Apocalypse over 1900 years ago.
But, it is now possible.
Let me add, that as we warned before, Europe has been in the process of establishing an enforcer for 666 controls. We have a related video:
The European Union is in the process of establishing the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. This is a major, first-of-its-kind move, with the EU setting up a European-wide prosecutor’s office that will have power to investigate and charge people for financial crimes committed against the EU. It looks like this type of office may end up persecuting those that do not have the mark of the Beast when they “buy or sell” as that will later be considered a financial crime in Europe. What does 666 mean? How has that name been calculated? How can we be certain that this is a prophecy for Europe and not Islam? Europe has set up such an office with that ability.
The European Public Prosecutor’s Office officially started operations on 1 June 2021 (https://www.eppo.europa.eu/en/background).
The prophet Amos was inspired to record the following:
11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“That I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine of bread,
Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
And from north to east;
They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
But shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)
But Matthew 24:14 will be fulfilled BEFORE the full ‘famine of the word’ happens.
After the Gospel of the Kingdom of God has sufficiently reached the world the end comes and the Beast will rise up (Matthew 24:14-22, Revelation 13) and more totalitarian controls will be put in place.
Anyway, we continue to see more and more censorship from what can be called the Censorship Industrial Complex.
The Apostle Paul warned “against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).
Big Tech censorship is often doing that.
The attitudes of Big Tech towards religion are becoming part of a more and more disturbing trend. The COGwriter.com pages, CCOG official websites, our BibleNewsProphecy YouTube channel, and other internet-based proclamation tools have been subject to cancellation, removal, and shadow banning.
What Are Shadow Bans?
A moderation technique first popularized in bulletin boards and early web forums, shadow bans block users or individual pieces of content without letting the offending user know they’ve been blocked. To a shadow-banned user, the site continues to function as normal — they can still make posts and engage with other people’s posts — but to others, the user appears to have gone silent. … a shadow-banned user might conclude that other people just don’t care what they have to say. A lot of Big Tech companies originally claimed to be bastions of free speech. After gaining near monopolistic control, much of Big Tech changed its views (and algorithms) and now stops certain content from becoming more popular and seen.
This COGwriter Church of God News page is greatly affected by this. For example, often Google searches do not lead to a COGwriter link on the first 1/2 dozen search pages checked. Yet, at the same time we can be the second item on the first page of DuckDuckGo and the fourth item on the first page of a Bing search.
Basically, what this shows is that Google’s algorithms are intentionally blocking these sites from coming up based on popularity and content. Instead, Google is trying to stop people from finding our content. Yes, Google is suppressing “the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).
Google does not get rid of sites in shadow bans, but makes it very difficult for people who are looking for information to find it at the shadow banned sites.
Because of censorship and shadow banning, the CCOG has also been using radio, and although that too is subject to censorship, that door is still open.
Scripturally, we know, however, something even worse than what we have seen thus far from Big Tech is coming from Europe (cf. Revelation 13).
