‘Russia Criticizes Trump’s ‘Imperial’ Security Strategy’ and ‘Washington’s interest in European security will make them more careful of what they wish for’

Russia Criticizes Trump’s ‘Imperial’ Security Strategy

WASHINGTON — Russia said Tuesday it sees U.S. President Donald Trump’s new national security strategy as “imperial” and showing a lack of willingness to accept a multi-polar world.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia disagrees with the view that it is a security threat for the United States, but welcomed the Trump administration’s stated willingness to work together on mutual interests.
Trump unveiled his strategy Monday, warning the country’s greatness is being challenged by rival powers and promising the United States would use “every instrument” at its disposal to ignite what he portrayed as an American awakening.
The document says the United States “will seek areas of cooperation with competitors from a position of strength, foremost by ensuring our military power is second to none and fully integrated with our allies and all of our instruments of power.”
During a speech in Washington, Trump pointed to Russia and China as his chief concerns, saying both countries “seek to challenge American values, influence and wealth.”
But he promised the United States, under his leadership, would not back down.
“Whether we like it or not, we are engaged in a new era of competition,” Trump said, cautioning, “American success is not a foregone conclusion.”
“We are declaring that American is in the game and that America is going to win,” he said.
China’s Foreign Ministry responded Tuesday, saying the United States should abandon its “Cold War mentality” and stop deliberately distorting China’s intentions. …
National Security Strategy
And top officials, like U.S. National Security Advisor Gen. H.R. McMaster, continue to voice concern about what they describe as Russia’s “sophisticated campaigns of subversion and disinformation.”
The Trump national security strategy unveiled Monday aims to confront such threats by focusing on four vital national interests: protecting the homeland, promoting American prosperity, preserving peace through strength, and advancing American influence.

So, according to Russia, the USA is acting imperialistic. According to Donald Trump, “America is going to win,” presumably he means economically and militarily.
But that is not the case.
The Bible tells of a time of Jacob’s troubles (Jeremiah 30:7).
This will be when the era of Anglo-American dominance is over (watch The New World Order Is Leaving the US Behind and End of the Anglo-American Order).
Jesus referred to this as part of the tribulation and also the final time of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24).

According to a preliminary copy of the president’s 2017 National Security Strategy obtained by the Asia Times, Trump envisions a radical upgrade in the US industrial base, large-scale support for scientific and technical education, and rebuilding of infrastructure, in response to China’s economic and strategic challenge. …
The report admonishes China and Russia on a number of grounds. Beijing and Moscow will take the report in stride, gauging carefully where Washington might alter the strategic balance. But the new report will cause alarm in Tehran. For the past dozen years – since Robert Gates replaced Donald Rumsfeld as America’s Defense Secretary in 2006 – American policy has sought to include Iran in the regional security architecture. The Trump Administration’s strongest language is directed towards Iran, and the Shi’ite regime’s response is incalculable. Some analysts believe that Iran already is inclined to go to war with Israel, and the new report may prompt the militaries of several Middle Eastern nations to raise their level of alert.
The report embraces the term “America First,” by which Trump means that national security depends first of all on fixing what is wrong in America: a shrinking industrial base, disrepair in infrastructure, sagging innovation, inadequate scientific and technical education, and an excessive federal debt burden. Although the report promises a crackdown on forced technology transfers, intellectual property theft, and other forms of “economic aggression,” it identifies the problem and its solution in domestic US policy: tax reform, deregulation, innovation policy, budgetary controls and education. …
Without making direct reference to China’s One Belt, One Road infrastructure initiative, the national security report proposes to challenge China’s growing dominance in Asia. “While the United States seeks to continue to build a strong relationship with China, China is using economic inducements and penalties, influence operations, and implied military threats to persuade other states to heed its political and security agenda. China’s infrastructure investments and trade strategies reinforce its geopolitical aspirations,” the document states. …
The report proposes to “expand defense and security cooperation with India,” to “re-energize our alliances with the Philippines and Thailand,” and “strengthen our partnerships with Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and others, and help them become cooperative maritime partners.” Whether this is boiler-plate or reflects new policy thinking remains to be seen. Against China’s $1 trillion commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative, India and Japan have proposed an “Asia-Africa Growth Corridor” with a budget of just $30 billion. This is unconvincing, to say the least. Some Japanese analysts argue that Japan cannot beat China and therefore should join its infrastructure program. …
European capitals will read this with dismay: in so many words, the Trump Administration states that the migrant policies which the Western European governments crafted so carefully and defended so assiduously are the main threat to European security. European observers feared that “America First” implied that Trump would abandon America’s security commitment to Europe. As I have written before, China’s One Belt, One Road project looks to be a step to pave the roads to Armageddon (watch Is China paving roads to Armageddon?).
America will not remain first, despite its president’s plans. The USA and Europe will regret what will happen with European ‘security.’
The Bible tells of an international power, which it calls Mystery Babylon, that will dominate the world economically (Revelation 17 &18), led by the “Beast of the Sea” (Revelation 13:1-2) who will also, for 3 1/2 years (Revelation 13:10), dominate much of the world militarily (Revelation 13:3-4; Daniel 11:39-43)–that dominant power is not the USA, but is European (for more details as to why that is so, watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).
That power will eliminate the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses) and its Anglo-Saxon allies (Daniel 8:24-25).
But that Babylonian power will be disturbed by a Eurasian power:
40 …the king of the North… 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him (Dan 11:40,43-45).
50:41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north,
And a great nation and many kings
Shall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
They are cruel and shall not show mercy.
Their voice shall roar like the sea;
They shall ride on horses,
Set in array, like a man for the battle,
Against you, O daughter of Babylon.43 “The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
And his hands grow feeble;
Anguish has taken hold of him,
Pangs as of a woman in childbirth…”(Jeremiah 50:41-43).

A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle. 5 They come from a far country, From the end of heaven–The LORD and His weapons of indignation, To destroy the whole land. 6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, 8 And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames (Isaiah 13:1-8).
The accounts in Daniel, Jeremiah, and Isaiah look to be related to the same invaders. They are an end time confederation that has a distance to travel–apparently a type of union of powers from the north including Russia, who is also the major power of the far north–as well as China, who is also a major power from the east.
Russia, despite how some dismiss it, is destined to be a major military force until Jesus returns to establish the Kingdom of God. Currently, Europe and parts of Asia are also rising up.
The end of America first is coming.
Despite assurances from American politicians (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:3), the USA will not win.

NBC reports that China intends to spend one trillion dollars to build roads, bridges, railroads, and maritime facilities to reach from China to Europe and China to the Middle East. Over 60 nations, including Russia, are involved with this. Could this Silk Road project possibly produce thoroughfares that could be used by troops that will amass at Armageddon?
