Russia hosts Asean and looks to Asia

Many of the nations of Southeast Asia have been meeting in Russia:

The Kremlin has seized on the visit by southeast Asian leaders for a summit as an opportunity to show Russia still has friends on the international stage, despite being cold-shouldered by the West over the conflict in Ukraine.

Russia has had few chances to host major international gatherings since Western sanctions were imposed, so there has been considerable fanfare around this week’s summit with members of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN). …

While the formal agenda of the two-day summit that ends on Friday has focused on building Russia’s ties with ASEAN member countries such as Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar, it has also been conducted with an eye on the United States and Europe.

“These are difficult times. Europe and America, by declaring sanctions against us, have basically turned away from us, or turned their backs on us,” said Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, part of the Russian delegation at the summit.

“But countries in the Asian and Pacific regions are working very actively with us, and that is very important, very nice,” he told a session on the sidelines of the summit. …

Channel One television station, which echoes the Kremlin line, alleged that the U.S. government had tried to dissuade some ASEAN head of government, in particular those from the Philippines and Malaysia, from traveling to Sochi, but that they snubbed Washington and came anyway.

AMERICAN “PRESSURE”

Asked by Reuters about the television report, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “It’s true. Russia is prophesied to work militarily with Asia.

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16).

Notice this is a power that the “he” is concerned about is north and east of Europe (the “he/him” here is European). Russia is the main power north of Europe and it extends apparently the farthest east as well. Asian nations are in the east.

The European leader is also called the King of Babylon below and notice that a northern power that works with ‘many kings’ will be a threat to him:

50:41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north,
And a great nation and many kings
Shall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
They are cruel and shall not show mercy.
Their voice shall roar like the sea;
They shall ride on horses,
Set in array, like a man for the battle,
Against you, O daughter of Babylon.

43 “The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
And his hands grow feeble;
Anguish has taken hold of him,
Pangs as of a woman in childbirth…”(Jeremiah 50:41-43).

The end-time European Beast power will be disturbed by what will be happening in places like Asia, including Russia.

Because of biblical prophecy, it looks like those nations of Southeast Asia will likely form some type of military confederation with Russia, China, Japan, Korea, and/or probably India and others. And some of that cooperation is starting to form already.

This is not something that the USA will be able to stop. Armageddon will happen.
