Sabbatarian falsely asserts: The Abomination That Makes Desolate Will be set up in just 7 Days … September 22, 2023.
Book cover
A reader forwarded me a 09/15/23 email he received from Joseph F. Dummond, who is a Sabbatarian. He seems to be somewhat of a Messianic with some type of prior COG background. Anyway, here are some excerpts from the email sent out by Joseph Dummond:
The Abomination That Makes Desolate
Will be set up in just 7 Days.
One Week form today Friday!
September 22, 2023.We have confirmed the construction of the base and it is being readied as I write this. The Countdown To the Abomination Began on March 11, 2020, when W.H.O. announced a worldwide pandemic!
THE BIGGEST EVENT SINCE THE CRUCIFIXION IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE, AND YOU HAVE FRONT-ROW SEATS …
Joseph Dumond gives answers that pinpoint exactly where we are prophetically today. Not only this, he gives us the tools to prove the answers for ourselves.
He does this by demonstrating in the clearest terms aided by his colourful charts that the major KEYS to understanding END-TIMES’ PROPHECY are the Sabbatical and Jubilee Cycles. Most students of the Bible sadly are wholly unaware of their existence. …
The 1290 Days have already started counting down. Yehshua warned what was going to come next. Get ready!!
We are here now and no one is prepared.
No, the countdown for the abomination did not begin on March 11, 2020.
And while Jesus (Yehshua) warned about many events, no, the abomination will not be set up in seven days.
It also needs to be made clear that the 1290 days has not started. Let’s look at the one passage in the Bible that is related to the abomination and the 1290 days:
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. (Daniel 12:11)
Notice the tie to the removal of daily sacrifices and the abomination. Well, since the daily sacrifices have not begun, they cannot yet have been taken away. Therefore, those who will believe what the Bible actually says can be assured that the 1290 days have not already begun.
Joseph Dummond is wrong about this and other matters.
Notice also the following:
20 But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. (Luke 21:20)
We have not yet seen this happen yet–so no the abomination of desolation is not about to occur!
That said, let me add that I am familiar with claims about the Sabbatical and Jubilee cycles. A couple of years ago, I denounced others who pointed to them supposedly occurring to cause chaos. Here is a link to a video we made on that:
2022-2023 Shemitahs: Destruction/Reset?
Modern Jews claim that the period of time from sunset September 6, 2021 through sunset September 25, 2022 is a ‘Shemitah year.’ Some claim that this and the year that begins when this one ends (the claimed ‘jubilee’ is being called a ‘super shemitah”) and runs through 2023 may cause destruction or the Great Reset. Is this possible? Is Messianic Jew, Jonathan Cahn (of the Harbinger fame) a prophet of God as Pat Robertson has said or a false prophet? Was he right about the financial collapse of the USA in 2015? Are the Jews right about their Shemitah year being year 5982, or is 5991 closer? What about the beginning of sorrows? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.
Here is a link to our video: 2022-2023 Shemitahs: Destruction/Reset?
Anyway, I was right to denounce what I did as those who predicted destruction, etc. for them were wrong. And so, too, is Joseph Dummond.
The Apostle Paul warned:
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8-9)
Like many false predictors, Joseph Dummond relies NOT on signs that Jesus/Yeshua said to look at in the Gospels (cf. Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21), but instead his calculations and assumptions.
Anyway, related to when Jesus will not return, we put out the following video:
Can Jesus return in 2023 or 2024?
Will Jesus ever return? Various ones, including certain Protestants and Muslims have pointed to 2023 as the year He will. But are they looking at the wrong things? Can we see a 2023 or 2024 rapture? How about September 17, 2023? What are the signs that Jesus said to look for that precede His return? What parts of the Book of Daniel did Jesus say to look to? Have we seen any of those signs yet? Does Jesus come before or after the tribulation? Can Jesus possibly come before 2023? Are there clear signs that will point to when Jesus will return? Why do some say we need to wait at least seven more years? Why should Christians care? What about supporting the work of God? Steve Dupuie and Dr. Thiel go over these matters.

Do not rely on prophets or predictions that are in contradiction to scripture (Romans 3:4).
Because we do rely on the Bible, in the Continuing Church of God, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).
The end is not yet, but is relatively soon.
Rely on the word of God and His true servants, not on improper calculations or other arguments that do not fully align with scripture.
