Shootings in California and New York

Dispatch received call of a shooting inside Geneva Presbyterian Church at 1:26pm. Four victims have been critically wounded , one with minor injuries. All victims are adults and are enroute to the hospital. One victim is deceased at the scene.

At least one person is dead and five wounded — including four who are critically injured — after a shooting Sunday at a church in Laguna Woods, California, the sheriff’s department said.

“All victims are adults and are en route to the hospital,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said in a tweet Sunday. “One victim is deceased at the scene.”

Another person has minor injuries, said the tweet. NEW YORK CITY (WABC) — Officials in New York City are responding to the horrific supermarket massacre that happened over the weekend in Buffalo.

Monday evening NYC Mayor Eric Adams will lead a vigil at Bethel Gospel Assembly Church in Harlem honoring the victims of the attack. …

People of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to attend tonight’s vigil.

It comes amid an increased police presence at predominantly Black houses of worship.

These were both wicked and terrorizing acts. These incidents fit the definition of “domestic terrorism” better than one that some in the US Federal Government seem to want to use (see MS: They Have Come Up With Some Ominous New Definitions For What Constitutes “Domestic Terrorism”).

My prayers are with those affected.

High School Shootings: 7 Failed Solutions

There have been many school shootings. The shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, resulted in 17 deaths. But also has brought out various calls for change. In this video, Dr. Thiel explains why seven ‘solutions’ have not worked. These seven include involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), school warnings, psychological counseling and medications, armed school guards, first responders, gun control, and boycotting the National Rifle Association (NRA). Dr. Thiel explains why we have seen more such shootings and why more violence is expected based upon biblical prophecies. He also explains the only real solution to bring peace.

The problem is moral decline and lack of proper fear of God.

This has impacted pretty much all of American society.

The Bible warns about the wicked:

1 An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked:
There is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes,
When he finds out his iniquity and when he hates.
3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit;
He has ceased to be wise and to do good.
4 He devises wickedness on his bed;
He sets himself in a way that is not good;
He does not abhor evil. (Psalms 36:1-4)

15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:15-18)

Less and less have proper”fear of God.”

Notice that terror for the corrupt was prophesied:

5 They have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. … 25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:5,25)

We continue to see shootings. Yes, more terror is prophesied for this perverse and crooked generation.

The Bible teaches:

9 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Enough, O princes of Israel! Remove violence and plundering, execute justice and righteousness (Ezekiel 45:9)

9…You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:9-10)

The further that the USA moves away from biblical morality, the more violence we will see.

National repentance is what the USA needs. But since that is not likely, the real solution is the Kingdom of God.

The Bible warns:

25 … There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:25)

There is more and more terror within the USA. And more is coming.

The Bible shows that God is against violence and that destruction will come because of it:

23 ‘Make a chain,
For the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence.
24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,
And they will possess their houses;
I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
And their holy places shall be defiled. (Ezekiel 7:23-24)

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality…30…violent, proud, boasters,…31…unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)

8 … And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. ( Habakkuk 2:8)

Consider also the following prophecy for the last days:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (2 Timothy 3:1-4).

Terroristic murders are brutal. Many are boasters, proud, without self-control. Many shooters also want publicity, like that is so important to murder for.

Jesus warned:

8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)

We are in a time of “troubles.” We are in the “beginning of sorrows.”

A worse time of ‘tribulation‘ is coming (Mark 13:19) and is getting closer.

But, ultimately, there will be good news. Jesus will return and the millennial Kingdom of God will be established, and violent crime will be stopped.
