London (CNN) — British police have arrested two more people as part of the probe of the brutal cleaver attack that killed a soldier.
A man and a woman, both 29, were arrested Thursday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, London’s Metropolitan Police said…And the words of one suspected attacker — holding a meat cleaver and large kitchen knife in his bloody hands — were likewise jarring, and raised questions about Islamic extremism within and outside Britain. “The only reasons we killed this man … is because Muslims are dying daily,” one man said, as his victim lay mutilated in the street behind him, in video aired by CNN affiliate ITN. http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/23/world/europe/london-attack/index.html
The Somalia-based militia group al-Shabaab has posted a series of tweets in which sympathy for the Woolwich attackers is expressed and David Cameron’s subsequent comments are criticised.
“What Cameron describes as a “sickening” attack is what innocent Muslim woman and children are subjected to every day by British troops,” the group’s Twitter account wrote.
“It is not a “betrayal” of Islam as he’d put it but rather a “portrayal” of Islam. Don’t expect Muslims to simply turn the other cheek!
“It’s a timely reminder to the repugnant lot at No.10 that Muslims are fully conscious of their heinous atrocities against Islam and Muslims.

The group is an off-shoot of the Islamic Courts Union (ICU), which splintered into several smaller factions after its defeat in 2006 by the Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and the TFG’s Ethiopian military allies. Al-Shabaab describes itself as waging jihad against “enemies of Islam”, and is engaged in combat against the TFG and the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM)…Al-Shabaab has been designated a terrorist organization by several Western governments and security services….
Terroristic troubles seem to be have something prophesied to affect the descendants of Israel in modern times if they did not obey God:
4 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.18 ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.
20 And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit. (Leviticus 26:14-20)
Jesus foretold troubles as part of the beginning of sorrows:
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)
3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. (Revelation 6:3-4)
Terrorism and attempts at it certainly qualify as troubles.
But an even worse hour of trial is coming later (Revelation 3:10; Jeremiah 30:7).
As Jesus said:
