The mainstream media is being accused of selective/biased reporting related to the looting, violence, and actual protests in Charlotte, North Carolina:

The Charlotte Riots: What They Are Not Telling You

Paul Joseph Watson points out something troubling: thugs burned down a city because a black cop shot someone, yet meanwhile the mainstream media spun it, or at least tried, as as “peaceful protest.” There is just one problem: violent criminals looting, attacking bystanders, attacking journalists, setting fires, smashing up cars, smashing up businesses and shooting at each other is not the a “peaceful protest.”And with all of these activities having been documented in the clip below, it is worth pointing out that:

Stealing and looting cash registers from local businesses is not a legitimate form of protest

A “protester” shooting another “protester” is not a legitimate form of protest.

Physically attacking reporters is not a legitimate form of protest.

Throwing rocks off bridges at passing vehicles full of families is not a legitimate form of protest

Beating up innocent people in parking lots because they’re white is not a legitimate form of protest.

Smashing up apartment windows where black people live to “protest” in favor of ‘Black Lives Matter’ is not a legitimate form of protest.

Trashing your own neighborhood is not a legitimate form of protest.

Looting the Charlotte Hornets team store so you can steal basketball merchandise is not a legitimate form of protest

Attempting to hijack cars and terrify their innocent occupants is not a legitimate form of protest.

What was unfolding in Charlotte – and may still be – is not a protest. It’s a violent, unjustified riot by criminals and thugs. The question is why is the media giving it legitimacy by still referring to it as a protest?

In a post made here yesterday, I included aspects of what happened that the ‘politically correct’ media has seemed to intentionally overlooked (see State of Emergency declared in Charlotte).

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA —

A third night of demonstrations in Charlotte, North Carolina over the controversial police shooting of an African American man were largely peaceful.

Hundreds of demonstrators defied a midnight curfew, marching without incident in the early hours of Friday morning. Authorities said didn’t plan to enforce the curfew as long as the protests remained peaceful.

Television video showed some protesters shaking hands with smiling National Guard personnel in the early morning darkness.

Thursday night, large crowds of demonstrators marched through the heart of Charlotte – the state’s largest city. Tear gas was used against demonstrators at one location, but such incidents were rare.

Police in riot gear were dispersed throughout the city.

State of emergency declared

Governor Pat McCrory, a former mayor of Charlotte, had earlier declared a state of emergency, and he said police would arrest lawbreakers. “We cannot tolerate any type of violence … or destruction of property,” McCrory said. http://www.voanews.com/a/charlotte-protests-keith-lamont-scott-justin-carr/3522032.html

Notice that because parts of Charlotte have basically become a police state, under a ‘state of emergency,’ that the violence was limited and LESS tear gas was used than the night before. And the media slant was that it was hundreds of ‘peaceful protesters’ who just happened to intentionally violate the curfew law that was in place.

In my view, selective media coverage is related to three factors:

The media supports the race-baiting agenda of many political leaders (which, in my view, is part of what has led to the protests).
The media is less interested in a balanced representation of truth, but instead believes it should play more of a political role.
The media is afraid that if they do not come across as sufficiently sympathetic to the protesters, that they will become targets themselves (and I saw one ‘protester’ assault a reporter on the news) and/or that they will be accused of being racists themselves.

Cellphone video taken by Keith Lamont Scott’s wife captured the broad-daylight encounter that ended the 43-year-old black man’s life and reveals a dispute between the woman and police officers over whether Scott was armed.

The video, released on Friday to NBC News and the New York Times, shows the tense moments that lead up to and after Tuesday afternoon’s fatal police shooting but does not show the shooting itself. Scott’s wife, Rakeyia Scott, can be heard pleading with cops not to shoot and insisting her disabled husband “has no weapon” while cops shout at the man to drop his gun.

The disturbing video emerged as unrest in Charlotte carries on into a fourth night of protesting and pressure mounts from both local and national officials for police to release dashcam footage of the shooting. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/keith-lamont-scott-wife-releases-video-fatal-police-shooting-article-1.2803431

While it is NOT totally clear yet IF Keith Scott had a gun, it is clear that police claimed he did and that they did not heed his wife’s pleas.

We are in violent times and the release of the cell phone data will likely be a factor in some protesting in Charlotte over the weekend.

Consider the following prophecy for the end times:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Speaking of prophecies, the Bible shows that God is against violence and that destruction will come because of it:

23 ‘Make a chain,
For the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence.
24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,
And they will possess their houses;
I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
And their holy places shall be defiled. (Ezekiel 7:23-24)

Notice that the above says that there will be violence in the city. We have seen violence in the city of Charlotte this week. But also notice that later “the worst of the Gentiles” will come.

Essentially, this is a prophecy related to the ‘beginning of sorrows’ (Matthew 24:4-8) to be followed by the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21).

It remains my view that we currently are in the beginning of sorrows that Jesus prophesied. The Great Tribulation is coming relatively soon.
