Top USA Military Official: Doomsday Cuts Would Break Military

“I will break the pride of your power” (Leviticus 26:19)

Are budget cuts likely to break the strength of the USA’s military? Its top military official publicly says so:

Washington: The outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff pulled no punches during his last week on the job, saying today that the across-the-board defense cuts under the so-called “doomsday” scenario will break the military.

For the first time, Adm. Mike Mullen said this afternoon that if the Super Committee set up by the White House is forced to cut any more from national security coffers, the military simply would not survive.”If you took a trillion dollars out of defense right now, that would break us,” Mullen said during a speech to defense industry leaders in Washington today. So far, the Obama administration has committed to cuts of $450 billion over the next 10 years, including $315 billion mandated by the Budget Control Act that Congress passed in July to avert a national default. This has been expected.

The Bible warns about the pride of power to be broken (Leviticus 26:19)–and I have long reported that this includes military power and the US dollar. And while most people consider both of those to be strong today, they will not remain that way. Additionally, agricultural production is another one of the USA’s prides. It too will be broken and I strongly believe that weather problems and pestilences, as well as specifically problems associated with its GMO–genetically-modified organisms–crops will be involved in the USA’s downfall. Food shortages are coming soon and are part of the sorrows that precede the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:4-8,21).

Why will all this happen?

Because of sin:

4 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments,
15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you:
I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart.
And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies.
Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.

18 ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 I will break the pride of your power;
I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.
20 And your strength shall be spent in vain;
for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit. (Leviticus 26:14-20)

Debt is weakening the USA. Pests are starting to develop ways to destroy GMO crops (Pestilence Issues and Genetically-Modified Corn). Terrors have already hit the USA. And this has resulted in massive losses of freedom and privacy, as well as the fact that airport security personnel now pretty much treat passengers as potential terrorists.

But the USA is becoming less able to afford this and other forms of “security.”

Cuts in the USA’s military budget, combined with new technologies being developed in Europe (see Large Hadron Collider may result in military applications, CERN’s Large Hadron Collider Particles Faster than the Speed of Light?, and Galileo to Start to Launch Next Month, the Beginning of Europe Rising?), as well as increased militarization by Russia and China will ultimately prove to show that the USA will NOT have all of the strongest fortresses in the world, though it will apparently seem so until it and its Anglo-allies are destroyed (Daniel 11:39).

To win a war against the USA, Europe, for example, does not have to have the best military in the world for waging any and every type of war (which long has seemed to be the USA’s objective). Instead, all it needs to do is to figure out weaknesses in the USA’s defenses in relationship to itself. Furthermore, since Europe is an ally of the USA, it will have the dual advantage of knowing more about the USA’s actual capabilities and weaknesses, as well as the element of surprise, when it does in fact attack. Which will happen sometime after the final King of the North will rise up (Daniel 11:27-39).

Those of you have followed COGwriter for long enough probably realize that world events have thus far aligned with at least 17 biblically-based predictions in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect. The most directly relevant today is that in 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect I warned that, “Because of domestic economic concerns and international pressures, Barack Obama is shifting priorities away from defense spending… This will help lead to the destruction of the United States, when the Europeans are ready and the U.S.A. is not.”

Lest any of this be seen a partisan attack by me, let me state that I am not a Republican nor Democrat. Furthermore, I suspect that because of the pledges that many Congressional Republicans have signed against tax increases that it seems likely that further defense cuts will appeal to them more than tax raising alternatives. While we will all see how this plays out, the reality is that the USA will not be as far ahead of the rest of the world’s militaries as it has been the past couple of decades.

National repentance is the only real long-term hope for the USA and the other Anglo-nations (and it seems to be too late for that, but personal repentance is still possible), There are carnal solutions that the Anglo-nations could do now that could help extend the situation, but too many of their leaders have rejected God and have the type of “reprobate mind” that prevents them from seeing even those “convenient” options (cf. Romans 1:18-32, KJV).

According to Bible prophecy, the end of the Anglo-dominance of the world is coming (Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 11:39), and the final age of the Gentiles (Luke 21:20-24; Daniel 11:39) will be here in a relatively few years. And there are likely to be a lot more troubles (Mark 13:8) before it gets even worse (Mark 13:19-20).
