Trump, Biden, and the end of the USA by the end of 2028?

It looks like a close rematch between Donald Trump and Joe Biden for the 2024 presidential election (with Donald Trump seeming to have a slight edge):
March 7, 2024
Joe Biden and Donald Trump each won the White House by razor-thin margins in key states.
Now, with a reprise of their bitter 2020 campaign all but officially set after Super Tuesday, the two campaigns are unveiling their strategies for a matchup between a president and his immediate predecessor. https://apnews.com/article/biden-trump-battleground-super-tuesday-republican-democrat-c02530a6e86e63f72eb6a616c16b0b4a

In the aftermath of presidential primary voting on Super Tuesday, in which Democratic President Joe Biden and former Republican President Donald Trump dominated their respective party’s ballots, the two men delivered caustic public messages about each other and starkly different descriptions of the state of the country.
In a statement issued Tuesday night, Biden warned that a second Trump presidency would pose an “existential threat” to American democracy. For his part, in a speech delivered at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump referred to Biden as “the worst president in the history of our country.”
Experts say Americans can expect more of the same — probably much more — in the eight months leading up to the election.
‘People will be sick of it’
Seth Masket, a professor of political science and director of the Center on American Politics at the University of Denver, told VOA that because Biden and Trump are so well known to U.S. voters, they will be more focused on tearing each other down than on building themselves up.
Masket said he expects a lot of negativity in the campaign, with Trump attempting to convince Americans that, because of Biden, the economy and society at large are both falling apart, while Biden defends his record and reminds voters of the many dysfunctions of the Trump White House.
“Trump will be trying to portray conditions today as literally the worst conditions ever,” Masket said. “Biden will be trying to portray conditions now as good … and also, he’ll be trying to remind people of the chaos of the last year of the Trump administration, with the pandemic and the insurrection and all sorts of other things that were going on that year.
“Yes, people will be sick of it, but I have a hard time imagining they’ll divert from that,” he said. https://www.voanews.com/a/biden-trump-take-aim-at-each-other-in-dueling-attacks-/7517193.html
The USA is terribly divided, and while most have problems with Joe Biden and Donald Trump, both are currently way ahead to attain their party’s nomination for the USA presidency.
As regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I am NOT a voter nor a Democrat nor a MAGA (or any any other type of) Republican –I am a non-partisan Christian looking for the return of Jesus and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.
Consider that Jesus warned:
25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)
17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)
The divide in the USA is growing as many of its sins (including hypocrisy) become more blatant.
That said, as posted here several times before, I consider that Donald Trump and Joe Biden are evil.
Without going into unique specifics, let’s consider how they are similar:
- They do not live like a member of their professed faiths is supposed to try to live.
- They support LGBTQ rights.
- They have not called for national repentance.
- They have not sought first the Kingdom of God.
- They have all been involved in Administrations that greatly increased USA debt.
- They have all been involved in Administrations that have upset the Europeans.
- They have all been accused of hypocrisy.
- None have the real solutions for what the USA needs.
Now, I am not trying to say that there are no differences. Yes, I know they have differing economic and climate policies as well as different views on abortion and racial matters.
As far as being hypocritical goes, the Book of Job teaches:
13 … And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish, (Job 8:13)
The Bible prophecy warns that God will punish and destroy “an hypocritical nation” (Isaiah 10:6, KJV) in a prophecy related to the USA.
The Bible teaches:
1 Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)
These national sins include abortion, sexuality immorality, promoting pornography, false witness, violence, economic theft through debt and other means, hypocrisy, disdain for the God of the Bible, covetousness, and a host of others.

As far as evil goes, evil is still evil.
Many professing Christians believe that they need to vote even though that concept is not endorsed in the Bible. But the Bible teaches:
2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil (Exodus 23:2)
The “lesser evil” is still not good.
What should a Christian do?
Jesus said to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33) and to pray for God’s kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).
As far as political leaders go, the Apostle Paul wrote:
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior (1 Timothy 2:1-3).
Notice that we are to pray for worldly leaders and those that have authority over us so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life. Nothing like this is said for voting that many falsely claim is their “Christian” duty–prayer for leaders is.
No matter who you may think is better, the lesser of the evils is still evil.
Related to this and the then upcoming 2020 election, the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel:
The USA presidential campaign is in full swing. Though Democratic party candidate Joe Biden and Republican party candidate Donald Trump have differing economic and climate policies as well as different views on abortion and racial matters, there are many similarities both share. Do they have policies that they share that are leading to the destruction of the USA? What do Bible prophecies reveal about sexual immorality, debt, and hypocrisy? What are some of the national sins of the USA? Does the Bible endorse voting? What did Jesus teach related to what to seek and pray for? What does the New Testament teach that Christians are to do related to leaders? Is the lesser of two evils still evil? Dr. Thiel goes over these matters, including going over eleven similarities the two major party candidates share and some of what the Bible teaches about evil.

Supporting evil is not the solution for Christians.
Those who are truly part of the Philadelphia remnant will go forward to fulfill Jesus’ commissions in Matthew 24:14 and 28:19-20. They will also support the preparation for the short work of Romans 9:25-28 as well as work to reach the Jews and the full number of Gentiles as recorded in Romans 11:23-25.
We are also to pray for our spiritual leaders. Notice what Jesus taught:
2 The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Luke 10:2).
Notice what Paul taught:
25 Brethren, pray for us (1 Thessalonians 5:25).
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, 2 and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2).
We also are to pray:
14 The will of the Lord be done (Acts 21:14).
Similarly, Jesus taught:
7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:7-10).
And that, I believe, should be the type of prayer that Christians have about elections and politicians. Followers of the true God are also told to:
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil (Proverbs 3:5-7).
The world is changing.
As far as the USA itself goes, the handwriting is on the wall for its coming end.
But, as I wrote before Joe Biden took office, the end will NOT come in the first term of a Biden-Harris Administration.
However, IF certain steps happen in 2024 (like the confirmation of the deal of Daniel 9:27), and:
- If as the School of Elijah taught, that God inspired Elijah to state that the world as we have known it would last 6,000 years, to be followed by a thousand year sabbatical time, which Jewish tradition (Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin [97a]) and early Christian traditions records (e.g. Irenaeus, a hearer of Polycarp. Adversus haereses, Book V, Chapter 30:4), then we are getting close to the end of that time.
- And if, consistent with scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments, we can apply the concept that a thousand years is as a day to God (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8).
- And if, as generally understood in the Church of God that Jesus was killed and resurrected no later than the Spring of 31 A.D. on Passover.
- And if we can presume that the “last days” of a 7,000 year prophetic week began AFTER the middle day (day 4), then the last days prior to the “sabbatical” time, which some would refer to as the millennial Kingdom of God would last two thousand years.
- And if when Peter referred to being in the last days (Acts 2:17-18) and since Hebrews 1:1-12 teaches that “God … has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.”
- Then adding 2,000 years to a period of time leads to the end of the 6,000 years no later than 2031.
- Since the Great Tribulation is expected to start 3 1/2 years prior to that (cf. Revelation 12:14; 13:5) subtracting 3 1/2 years from the Spring of 2031 would be late in 2027.
- Understand that the USA is prophesied to be taken over near the rise of the Beast and start of the Great Tribulation (cf. Daniel 11:39; Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:21-22).
- Therefore, since the end of the next full USA presidential term would end in January of 2029, these prophetic understandings point to the end of the USA prior to the end of the next presidential term.
- This is also consistent with certain Roman Catholic prophetic writings as well.
It looks like from certain Jewish, biblical, Christian, and Roman Catholic perspectives (and yes others associated with those faiths have other opinions), that the end of the USA may well happen before the end of the next presidential term.
We also made a video:
Is the USA prophesied to be destroyed by 2028?
Are there prophetic reasons to believe that the USA will not last two complete presidential terms? Yes. There is a tradition attributed to the Hebrew prophet Elijah that humanity had 6,000 years to live before being replaced by God’s Kingdom. There are scriptures, writings in the Talmud, early Christian teachings that support this. Also, even certain Hindu writings support it.

Repentance could delay the disaster coming to the USA (cf. Daniel 4:27)–but that is not expected.
Without national repentance, the end is coming very soon no matter what party wins the USA 2024 presidential election.
Destruction is coming to the USA–as well as its British-descended allies (UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand)–and it will be worse than most people will believe.
