US President Donald Trump made more statements that have upset various ones in Germany and other parts of Europe.
Trump Claims Germany Owes $1 Trillion In NATO Obligations

President Trump lashed out at “delinquent” NATO members as he again called on all members of the transatlantic alliance – particularly Germany – to spend 2% of GDP on defense spending. Speaking at a joint press conference with Polish president Andrzej Duda at the White House, Trump asserted that Poland was one of eight European NATO members to meet its financial commitments to the alliance, according to the Irish Times.
“The United States is defending a lot of countries that are delinquent in what they are supposed to be paying,” the president said. Confirming that the US would be withdrawing troops from Germany, Trump claimed that Germany owed “close to a trillion dollars” to Nato “when you add it all up.”
While he claimed that the US had secured an extra $400 billion in new spending from NATO members, he said “we will be only satisfied when all members are paying their fair share”.
“The United States is the major participant [in Nato],” he said. “We defend Europe, but Europe also takes tremendous advantage of the United States on trade – advantage like you wouldn’t believe.”

Strikingly, European perceptions of the US have worsened even more than those of China, where the outbreak originated, and where the government has been heavily criticised for concealing the extent of the outbreak when it began.
A total of 48% of those polled said their perception of China had worsened, compared to 40% who said it had stayed the same and 12% who said it had improved.

The European Union’s reported plans to bar American travelers would certainly come as a disappointment to quarantine-weary globetrotters looking to get back out into the world.
The plans are expected to be announced next week and reviewed every two weeks after that. For some US airlines, the ban could portend a slower, more painful slog as they try to recover from their pandemic woes. …

Yes, there are politics involved. Yes, the discussions of a “European travel ban on Americans could be a sign of disastrous things to come.” Disastrous things will come.

Has or will Donald Trump affect Europe?
Yes.
He will do so in many ways, including several that few consider.
The Washington Post reported in late 2016 that Donald Trump admired Richard Nixon. It also reported:
Donald Trump appears to have embraced, with gusto, Richard Nixon’s “Madman Theory” of foreign policy. He thinks he can use his reputation for unpredictability and lack of respect for long-standing international norms to unnerve and then intimidate America’s adversaries into making concessions that they would not otherwise make. Donald Trump’s foreign policy statements have unsettled many—in the U.S.A. as well as foreign nations. He seems like he will more unpredictable than Richard Nixon.
There is also something referred to as the “law of unintended consequences.” There are consequences for the U.S.A., Europe, and elsewhere that have and will occur because of Donald Trump’s statements and actions.
Many Europeans Do Not Like Donald Trump
Because of some of them, back in late 2015, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, former German Defense Minister, called Donald Trump “that blonde lunatic named Donald.” (Wish List or Reality? Donald Trump will not ‘make America great again.’ His rise is dangerous for many reasons, but prophetically, one of them is that his rise has shown the Europeans that the USA is moving in a direction they do not like (cf. Daniel 11:39).
Climate Change
Donald Trump’s views against the ‘climate change’ agenda have not pleased the Europeans. …

Strategic Culture Foundation, December 12, 2016). It is my position that trade disputes will be a factor in Europe taking military action against the U.S.A. one day.
Energy and climate policy differences between the Europeans and Donald Trump may increase the negative view many in Europe already have about the USA. …
German Concerns About USA and Donald Trump
Some consider that Donald Trump’s rise is a sign that the USA is in decline. …
Germans and others see the USA declining. Europe will go in a direction that USA leaders, including its ‘foreign policy experts,’ do not comprehend (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).
When my wife and I were in Europe in late 2016, many of the Europeans we spoke to were essentially of the view that the USA is supposed to be the leader of the West, so how could it possibly elect Donald Trump? We were told this by Europeans from countries like Switzerland, Spain, and the Netherlands. European disdain for Donald Trump and how they perceive his leading of the USA is real. …
There Will be Consequences
Donald Trump indicated that Europe needs to pay for more of its defense or the USA should not have to pay for it (Collinson S. 5 candidates make closing arguments on CNN ahead of Western Tuesday. CNN, March 20, 2016).
Many in the USA do not seem to realize that once Europeans are spending more for their militaries, that they will also expect to have more independence from the USA as to how military might will be used. …
Donald Trump has made statements that will help lead to the rise of a European Empire as well as an Islamic confederation. These are to be led by leaders that the Bible refers to as the King of the North and the King of the South respectively.
The rise of Donald Trump should show 21st century people that the King of the North will be able rise up in Europe.

I warned about “unintended consequences” in that book about Europe and we are starting to see this happening. The distancing of Europe from the USA is encouraging them to build their military–they now have a framework called PESCO, which they agreed to in December 2017, barely a year after Donald Trump’s election (watch PESCO and a Great European Army). Europeans are concluding that they cannot rely on the USA anymore. And this means in matters of not only trade, but defense.
Pushing the Europeans to spend more on their militaries will result in a disaster beyond what most in the USA imagine.

PESCO and a Great European Army
In November 2018, French President Macron called for a “true European army” because of China, Russia, and the USA. Some others in Europe have echoed that sentiment. On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted “a very strong Europe.” Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as “my friend” and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe’s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with “a great army”? Has Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Is the idea of a United States of Europe and a European army a “paranoid fantasy” or a biblical reality? Will the USA regret Europe becoming a stronger military power? Will the USA be betrayed by “friends” such as its continental European allies? Does the Bible teach any or all of this? Are there connections to the Beast of Revelation or the King of the North of Daniel 11? Dr. Thiel addresses these matters in this video.

Donald Trump’s actions will be a factor in the rise of the European King of the North Beast power. The USA will one day be destroyed per Daniel 11:39 by the power that it is pushing Europe to become.
Yes, European leaders want an empire.
Despite real unity problems (cf. Daniel 2:41-43) and economic problems, Europe will reorganize:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
These ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is a type of reorganization in verse 12. What emerges will be the militaristic BEAST empire that the Bible warns against.
Notice what other passages in Revelation and Daniel reveal:
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:1-4)
2 Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. 5 “And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’ 6 “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. 7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. (Daniel 7:2-7)
The final version of the above beast has ten horns (Daniel 7:7) as does the Beast power of Revelation 17:12. This is the Beast of the Sea.
Which sea?
According to the Bible, the “Great Sea” that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Joshua 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) was the Mediterranean Sea–and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to.
What will rise up will be a European empire.
The late Pastor General of the old Radio/Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong, repeatedly warned since 1934 that there would be a coming European Beast empire:
Donald Trump’s actions will be a factor in the rise of the European King of the North Beast power and the end of the USA.
That being said, even if Donald Trump is not re-elected, I do not believe that whoever may replace Donald Trump will be able to fix relations with Europe to the degree that Europe will not fulfill its prophesied destiny to destroy the USA.
