And the catalyst for this may be Trump’s Tax Overhaul. …
It will have massive short-term implications for European and Japanese banks that have been the holders of all of that offshore cash Trump wants repatriated.
And when Apple’s Tim Cook is talking about bringing back $282 billion in capital in 2018 alone, the banks that are holding those deposits and investments as reserves are going to have to scramble to find the dollars to redeem those investments.
Does anyone think Apple draining even just $5 billion a month from the European banking system won’t have a huge effect on the health of those banks? …

So, feels that a banking crisis, sparked by the Donald Trump tax plan, will essentially result in the end of the European Union.
And it is no secret that the Europeans did not care for the tax plan as they warned the Trump Administration to not pursue it:
The finance ministers from Europe’s five largest economies have warned the Trump administration that Republican tax cut plans would flout international agreements and undermine trade, threatening to turn a Washington policy battle into a transatlantic row. In a letter to the White House and US Treasury department, the ministers — including Philip Hammond of the UK, Peter Altmaier of Germany and Bruno Le Maire of France — raised the possibility of retaliating if the legislation becomes law. How Europe may ‘retaliate’ in the short run is an open question.
But one of the reasons I posted about this is it brought to mind something from the last Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong. In a sermon on July 7, 1984, he stated:
And I can see now, the event that is going to trigger the formation of the reunification in Europe; the resurrection of the medieval Holy Roman Empire that we’ve been looking forward to that is prophesied to come…
But I believe that some event is going to happen suddenly just like out a blue sky that is going to shock the whole world and is going to cause the nations in Europe to realize they must unite! … Well now I think I can see what may be the very event that is going to trigger…that is the economic situation in the world…
The whole banking structure in the United States is a network all jointed together. But not only that, one nation has to deal with other nations and imports and exports. And so they have to have a means of transforming money from one nation to another. And so the banking structure is international and interwoven…
Now when the financial structure breaks down, all civilization is going to break down…
Despite grumblings from some modern observers, Europe is actually going to become more united because of economic and anti-Anglo-American issues.
As far as Europe and Donald Trump go, the rise of Donald Trump, along with the UK’s Brexit, has galvanized many in Europe to want to unite and become more independent of the USA (as well as the UK).
The Bible, though, does show that Europe will have unity problems (Daniel 2:41-43), but the Bible also shows that Europe will one day reorganize (Revelation 17:12-13).
It will likely take a crisis or two for that to happen.
The Trump Administration’s tax plan is not going to stop the Europeans from wanting more unity.
