The EU Parliament has elected German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen as the next EU Commission President:

Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen has been narrowly elected president of the EU Commission following a secret ballot among MEPs.
The centre-right defence minister will replace Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on 1 November.
She secured the backing of more than half of the members of the European parliament on Tuesday evening.
The Commission drafts EU laws, enforces EU rules and has the power to impose fines on member states if necessary.
“The trust you placed in me is confidence you placed in Europe,” Mrs von der Leyen, who is the first woman to be elected president of the European Commission, said in a speech immediately after the vote.
“Your confidence in a united and strong Europe, from east to west, from south to north.”
“It is a big responsibility and my work starts now,” she added. “Let us work together constructively.”

Now, it could be that she was selected because 1) she was a woman and the EU wants more gender balance and 2) she advocates a European army, plus notice the following:
At first glance, the affable 60-year-old minister with a camera-ready smile looks to be a perfect fit, with the requisite experience, political pedigree and personality to handle the EU’s toughest job.
And yet a nagging question remains: Is she too good to be true?
In the German capital, the answer is clear.
“Von der Leyen is our weakest minister. That’s apparently enough to become Commission president,” former European Parliament President Martin Schulz seethed in a tweet …

Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen … has said she wants U.S. tech giants to pay “fair taxes” in the EU instead of gaming the different systems across the bloc to cut their bills. …
“I will stand for fair taxes – whether for brick and mortar industries or digital businesses. When the tech giants are making huge profits in Europe, this is fine because we are an open market and we like competition,” von der Leyen told the parliament on Tuesday …
“But if they are making these profits by benefiting from our education system, our skilled workers, our infrastructure and our social security … it is not acceptable that they make profits, but they are barely paying any taxes because they play our tax system. If they want to benefit, they have to share the burden.”

Ursula von der Leyen’s tax raising pledge brings the following scripture to mind:
20 There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but not in anger or in battle. (Daniel 11:20)
My knowledge of Hebrew grammar is not sufficient for me to conclude that the above scripture must refer to a male. If not, it could be that Ursula von der Leyen might be the prophesied promoter of taxes who would come to her end. We will see what will happen with her.

Ursula von der Leyen has been a driving force behind Europe’s PESCO and a European army.
Bible prophecy clearly teaches that the European Beast power known as the King of the North will have “a great army” (Daniel 11:25).
Now she has been voted to be the next European Commission president, URSULA VON DER LEYEN’S ELECTION SHOULD HELP MAKE IT OBVIOUS THAT EUROPE IS DETERMINED TO BE A MAJOR MILITARY POWER.
Now, some in Europe (see ‘PESCO is not about peace, it is about preparing for EU wars’) as well as in the USA (see US warns EU against projects like PESCO: This will not turn out well for the US) have had concerns about PESCO, which is something that Ursula von der Leyen has pushed.

PESCO and a Great European Army
In November 2018, French President Macron called for a “true European army” because of China, Russia, and the USA. Some others in Europe have echoed that sentiment. On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted “a very strong Europe.” Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as “my friend” and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe’s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with “a great army”? Has Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Is the idea of a United States of Europe and a European army a “paranoid fantasy” or a biblical reality? Will the USA regret Europe becoming a stronger military power? Will the USA be betrayed by “friends” such as its continental European allies? Does the Bible teach any or all of this? On Brexit, she said “I stand ready for a further extension of the [UK] withdrawal date, should more time be required for a good reason”.
MEPs reacted with a mixture of applause and boos.
“In any case the UK will remain our ally, our partner and our friend,” she said, defending the existing withdrawal deal, reached with Prime Minister Theresa May but rejected by the UK Parliament, which the EU has vowed not to reopen.

Well, while Mrs. von der Leyen has stated the the UK will remain a European ally, that situation will not last. One day Europe will turn against and take over the UK (Daniel 8:24-25).

In the above YouTube, he warned that Ursula von der Leyen will essentially make national parliaments of no real value and that she would put forth a European army that can attack. He was basically correct about that.
Over five years ago, former UK Prime Minister David Cameron opposed the candidacy of Jean-Claude Juncker as EU Commission President as he felt it could lead to Brexit (see EU Summit opens, UK’s Cameron expected to lose related to J. Juncker: a prelude to a Brixit?)- and the UK did vote to exit from the EU nearly two years after Jean-Claude Juncker was elected as EU Commission President.
Jean-Claude Juncker has been a strong proponent of an EU military and an EU that can handle matters without the USA.
Europe is changing and developing its military.
The Bible shows that Europe will have a military, so powerful, that it is prophesied to defeat the USA (Daniel 11:39), its British-descended allies (cf. Daniel 8:24-25), as well as a coming confederation in North Africa and the Middle East (Daniel 11:40-43).
Any words to the contrary from Ursula von der Leyen will not change that.
