US House Passes No Abortion Funding ‘Law’

This is an interesting development because about a month ago, the House agreed to a spending bill that did allow some of the types of abortion funding that it now is trying to restrict:

The so-called No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act is approved along party lines and would make into law current policies that prohibit federal money from paying for abortions through Medicaid and some other federal programs…The measures stand little chance of approval by the Senate, but again demonstrated the key role social issues still play in unifying the Republican Party.

Abortion is wrong and no government, USA or otherwise should pay for it.

The Bible says:

This potential law will likely not make it.

I suspect that despite the House’s move, that the Obama Administration will try to work around this, even if the Senate would approve it (unlikely), and will not want this signed into law. And based upon what the Republicans did last time see USA Government Budget Deal Allows Abortion Group Funding), I suspect that many of them will compromise on this point again.

While stopping government funding of abortion by a government that is in debt makes perfect logical and moral sense, the majority of politicians in the USA do not tend to consider those points more valid than certain political ones. Hence, the USA government will likely continue to at least indirectly fund abortions.
