Having held the top position uninterrupted from 1997 to 2009 and not fallen out of the top 3 until 2017, the world’s largest economy dropped out of the top 10 for the first time this year, slipping from 9th to 12th place. …

Yes, the US is declining.

Yes, it has a polarized political landscape and lessened social cohesion.

Plus, its debt, sanctions, and bullying policies have pushed other nations to take protective actions.

Its pushing of immorality has also set up its downfall.

Consider that Barack Obama had fairly positive relations with Russia just prior to his re-election in 2012. Now the US and Russia do not.

What happened after 2012?

Notice something that Hillary Clinton wrote that she did with Russia when she was Secretary of State:

When I pressed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to do more to protect the rights of LGBT people, the normally cool and restrained diplomat turned nasty. …

Meanwhile, I looked for ways to make progress closer to home, by better supporting LGBT members of the State Department. . . . I supported the State Department’s annual Pride event, hosted by a group called GLIFFA, Gay and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies. (Clinton HR. Hard Choices. Simon & Schuster, 2014, pp. 577-578)

After that meeting, USA-Russian relations went downhill. Russia told the US that it would not promote the LGBTQ+ agenda.

Hillary Clinton bragged about the use of the USA’s “soft power” around this time, which many have considered as bullying as well as interference in the internal affairs of their nations.

The bullying of the US by Hillary Clinton did not persuade Russia, so the US took steps against Russia since that time.

So, would one expect that Russia and others would be taking steps?

Now, what the above article did not mention was that the US supported a coup against the pro-Russian Ukrainian President in 2013 and 2014, and then intentionally caused Russia problems. Notice something from the Washington Post:

Since 2015, the CIA has spent tens of millions of dollars to transform Ukraine’s Soviet-formed services into potent allies against Moscow, officials said.

Despite its claims about supporting democracy, the US supported the coup against Ukraine’s democratically-elected President Viktor Yanukovych.

Furthermore, notice also the following from the Wall Street Journal:

New York Times report demolishes the narrative of the “unprovoked war” in Ukraine

For the past two years, nearly every reference in the US media to the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine by Russia has been preceded by an obligatory word—“unprovoked.” … the New York Times published a lengthy article revealing that the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 was instigated by a systematic and widespread campaign of military-intelligence aggression on the part of the United States.

The article details longstanding Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operations in Ukraine, in which the agency sponsored and built up the Ukrainian military intelligence agency HUR, using it as a weapon of spying, assassination and provocation directed against Russia for more than a decade.

The Times writes:

Toward the end of 2021, according to a senior European official, Mr. Putin was weighing whether to launch his full-scale invasion when he met with the head of one of Russia’s main spy services, who told him that the C.I.A., together with Britain’s MI6, were controlling Ukraine and turning it into a beachhead for operations against Moscow.

The Times report demonstrates that this Russian intelligence assessment was absolutely true. For more than a decade, dating back to 2014, the CIA was building up, training and arming Ukrainian intelligence and paramilitary forces that were engaging in assassinations and other provocations against pro-Russian forces in eastern Ukraine, against Russian forces in Crimea and across the border into Russia itself.

In a critical passage, the Times writes:

As the partnership deepened after 2016, the Ukrainians became impatient with what they considered Washington’s undue caution, and began staging assassinations and other lethal operations, which violated the terms the White House thought the Ukrainians had agreed to. Infuriated, officials in Washington threatened to cut off support, but they never did.

In other words, Ukrainian paramilitary forces that were armed, funded and led by the United States and NATO were systematically assassinating forces supporting closer relations with Russia.

The newspaper’s account begins with the Maidan Coup of February 2014, when right-wing and neo-Nazi forces backed by the US and the European Union overthrew the elected pro-Russian president and installed a pro-imperialist regime headed by the billionaire Petro Poroshenko. …

The US was not peaceably watching the matter, but fomenting the situation.

Russia then entered Crimea in 2014, held an election, and Crimea voted to be annexed by Russia.

Russia annexed Crimea, the US claimed that the election was invalid, and imposed sanctions on Russia. A Crimean I spoke with in Germany told me she was glad that Russia annexed Crimea.

The US took other actions against Russia as well as encouraged Ukrainian actions against Russian interests. This ended up with Russia’s ‘Special Military Operation’ into Ukraine. This post is not intended as a defense of military actions, but providing background does help better understand what has been happening as well as some of the reasons why.

As far as sanctions and the US dollar goes, notice a report from Russia after the latest round of US sanctions:

The United States government announced a new batch of sanctions against Russia on Wednesday, targeting the energy, metals, and mining industries, as well as the Moscow Stock Exchange and major lenders Sber and VTB. These sanctions have already angered Russia and caused tensions to rise even further, as Moscow deems the U.S. dollar “toxic.” …

“The dollar has become toxic. Washington has totally undermined trust in the dollar as a global reserve currency by imposing illegal sanctions against our country’s financial institutions,” State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin has said.

The dollar has “discredited” itself as a reserve currency and therefore “de-dollarization is inevitable,” Volodin argued.

The global trend towards using national currencies in trade instead of the greenback has gained momentum, Volodin said, claiming that many other nations – in particular BRICS members – are looking for alternatives to the dollar as they don’t want to become “hostages” of US politics.

The lawmaker noted that since 2022, the share of “unfriendly” currencies in Russia’s export settlements has dropped from 84.7% to 17.8%. At the same time, transactions in the ruble and national currencies have surged by 3.5 and 15 times respectively. -RT

According to Volodin, more than 90% of payments between Russia and its partners within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) bloc of post-Soviet nations are carried out in national currencies. I have warned for many years that there would be a cost to US sanctions (watch from 2018: US Sanctions and Tariffs leading to New World Order? and from 2024: Russia, Sanctions, Transnistria, Europe & Prophecy). There will be many “unintended consequences” to the US. One has been a shifting away from the US dollar.

While the US acted like it had all the power to do this, Russia’s president decided he should take economic and other steps.

Such a sharp failure will be due to the fact that, as the expert explained, since the 80s of the last century, the US financial leadership has completely switched to a model of stimulating private demand through the constant issue of an unsecured dollar. The US authorities publicly abandoned the gold standard back in August 1971.

Such reckless and irresponsible practices of the American monetary authorities led to the country’s economy becoming completely dependent on the continuation of the quantitative easing policy. …

Around 605-625 B.C. Habakkuk wrote a short book of the Bible that has a lot of implications for the time that we are now in. Here is something related to debt accumulation that Russia has warned about:

6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his — how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you, Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:6-8)

Actually, with an admitted debt of over $34.7 trillion dollars and plans to increase that much further, the USA has increased pledges more than any nation in the history of the planet. Yes, one day the US will collapse.

Russia sees that a collapse will come.

Those in Iran and some of the Arab lands, along with nations such as Brazil, China, and India have discussed plans for the removal of the dominance of the U.S.A. in global trade as well. The former (again current) President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, even claimed that eliminating the U.S. dollar’s reserve currency status was one of the reasons that the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was formed in the first place. The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). Debt is also warned against (Habakkuk 2:6-8). Yet policies enacted under the Obama, Trump, and Biden Administrations, following certain other administrations, have ignored these warnings.

One day the US dollar will be toppled. But let me add that the Bible teaches that a coming European power will accumulate gold too (cf. Daniel 11:38,43; see also The Plain Truth About Gold in Prophecy. How Should a Christian View Gold?).

Based upon several biblical prophecies, I have long written that the Asians and Europeans will cooperate, for a time, and eliminate the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies.

Now, the BRICS alliance expanded this year. Both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have joined.

This has affected the arrangement known as the petrodollar:

Saudi Arabia is progressively reducing its dependence on the United States. Quite possibly reflective of its recent admittance to the expanded BRICS block it is exhibiting a greater inclination to settle oil transactions in currencies other than the US dollar. Owing to the US and Western Europe’s increasingly entangled alliances, and its own efforts to diversify away from dependence upon energy exports, Saudi Arabia has been increasing its diplomatic and economic engagements with China, Iran, Russia, nations considered primary US foreign policy adversaries. Recent moves toward accepting non-dollar currencies reflects broader geopolitical shifts away from US currency hegemony.

The concept of the petrodollar, established in the 1970s, was an informal arrangement where Saudi Arabia agreed to sell oil exclusively in US dollars in exchange for US military protection and investment in US Treasury securities.

While the arrangement may not have been totally official, it has existed for decades.

What is the petrodollar?

Essentially, it is the fact that although the US dollar is no longer backed by gold, since most oil is priced in US dollars, that gives the US dollar a backing through a needed commodity. This insures that, internationally, the US dollar will have value. So it is sometimes called a petrodollar.

With Russia not trading oil in dollars, and other BRICS nations avoiding dollars often in their trade, plus changes in Saudi Arabia, yes, the collapse of the US dominated financial system is coming.

And while some may want to blame Russia for what is coming, the US through its bullying, political inference, violence, and debt accumulation has been setting itself up for this.

As far as other reasons for the coming destruction of the US, notice the following prophecy from Isaiah:

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,
And trust in oppression and perversity,
And rely on them,
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. (Isaiah 30:12-13)

It was the US trusting in perversity that looks to have been the trigger for the past 12+ years of the US taking steps against Russia.

The US also has greatly increased its debt since then. It has more than doubled it since Hillary Clinton attempted to push perversity on Russia.

The collapse of the US is coming.

America’s Collapse and Russia’s Preparations

For the first time ever, the USA is no longer listed in the top ten nations when it comes to global competitiveness. Reasons include lack of social cohesiveness, a polarized political landscape, a slow-moving legislative process, debt, sanctions policies, and immorality. The Washington Post, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal reported that the USA, through its Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), supported the anti-Russian forces in Ukraine against its pro-Russian president in 2014 and supported assassinations, Neo-Nazi Ukrainians, and paramilitary actions against pro-Russian Ukrainians thereafter. Because of USA actions, Russian President Vladimir Putin began a series of actions, starting with the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union, and then more involving the BRICS nations to separate Russia from the West. He also moved towards dedollarization and the accumulation of gold as he and other Russian leaders see that the USA is setting itself up for collapse because of its bullying tactics, increasing debt, and various monetary policies.
