Yes, there are threats of cashlessness, most in NZ, Canada, the US, & Australia oppose CBDCs, yet the IMF continues to push for CBDCs

There are threats associated with governments going cashless:

The Threat of Cashless Societies

December 24, 2024

The Dangers of a Cashless Society

There are two predominant dangers that come with a cashless society, and just about every negative that you can think of due to such will fall into one of these two groups:

  1. Denial of purchasing power
  2. A complete loss of anonymity

Denial of Purchasing Power

A cashless society is a controlled society. If everything must go through an online banking or credit card process, then you have just lost virtually all control over what you buy.

Anything that is not politically sanctioned(guns, ammo, body armor, helmets, particular books, particular website premium subscriptions, political donations, etc.) could very easily be vaporized overnight.

This, of course, would drive the makers and holders of such products into a black market to barter their goods, and this in turn would be responded to by the use of overwhelming government force. This will come in the form of Stryker vehicles, concussion grenades, snipers, and men with automatic rifles and body armor.

Don’t believe me? Read FA Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom. Totalitarian governments must resort to force simply for the sole reason that people will naturally refuse to comply with widespread theft of their own goods. This force will only continue to grow in its usage.

Totalitarians do not accept blame for their own economical failures. The state is the end of all things to them, and as such, the end justifies the means – no matter how terrifying such a means may be.

A Complete Loss of Anonymity

Once cash is abolished everywhere, your attempts at any form of anonymity will be destroyed. https://goldseek.com/article/threat-cashless-societies

JP Morgan actually published the following related to risks of cashlessness:

Would a cashless society be a better one?

As physical cards, digital wallets and payments apps come to account for ever more of our transactions, some believe we will one day live in a cashless society.  …

People don’t want anyone, including the government, being able to monitor their transaction data, and the institutions entrusted to guard this data are vulnerable to being hacked. Plus, cash isn’t vulnerable to mass IT failures, which in theory can take down digital payments systems.

On a more personal level, think about the person who is the victim of an abusive relationship. Without cash, they might not be able to buy anything without their partner knowing. Cash also helps people to keep track of spending, which is vital for some low-income households; it’s too easy to overspend when you’re not looking at a finite, physical sum of money.

Still, I would be surprised if we didn’t have a cashless society in the next 50 years. If that becomes the case, then it’s crucial that we ensure that the necessary safeguards are in place. There’s a growing appetite for a cashless society. If a digital currency organically becomes adopted at scale, driven by a rogue agenda and without due checks and balances in place, that leaves us vulnerable. Let’s get ahead of this and do it right. 12/18/24 https://www.jpmorgan.com/payments/payments-unbound/magazine/articles/cashless-society-two-sides

Well, yes, I believe the world, at least most of Europe, will effectively go cashless in the next decade. But, no, “the necessary safeguards” will not be in place.

According to the Bible, a totalitarian Europe will end up with the ability to control and monitor buying and selling (Revelation 13:16-18).

But many continue to push for cashlessness. One way is with what are called Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).

New Zealanders have concerns about them:

December 26, 2024

central bank digital currency (CBDC) … New Zealanders … 90% believe the government will use it to monitor the citizens, a public consultation by the country’s central bank has revealed.

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) started the consultation in April, calling on the public to submit feedback on whether a CBDC was necessary, whether the bank should pay interest, whether there should be a holding limit and more.

RBNZ recently published the consultation results, which are overwhelmingly against a digital dollar. …

A Bank of Canada (BOC) consultation found that 85% of Canadians “would not use a digital Canadian dollar.” In the United States, only 16% support the idea of a CBDC, and with Donald Trump assuming office in January, the chances of a digital dollar have dipped significantly. New Zealand’s neighbor, Australia, has also stated that there lacks a “clear public interest case” for issuing a retail CBDC. https://coingeek.com/70-of-new-zealanders-say-cbdc-is-not-important/

No, going completely to a monitorable CBDC or other digital currency is not clearly in the interest of the public.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) put out a paper promoting CBDCs last month. Here are some excerpts:

The global interest in CBDC remains strong, and exploration continues around the world. The Bank for International Settlements’ (BIS) most recent CBDC survey shows that the proportion of the 86 responding central banks that are exploring CBDC has risen to 94 percent. The survey indicates that up to fifteen CBDCs will likely have been issued by 2030 (BIS 2024a). …

The European Central Bank (ECB) is moving forward with the digital euro project. It moved from the initial phase into the preparation phase in November 2023. This preparation phase aims to lay the foundation of a potential future digital euro, by finalizing its rulebook and selecting providers that could help develop a technical platform. A first draft of the rulebook and a first call for providers were presented in January 2024 (ECB 2024)—the ECB has earmarked significant funds to work with the private sector to develop a digital euro. The next phase involving an actual development and rollout of the digital euro could start in November 2025 at the earliest. …

To encourage broad adoption, CBDC design should prioritize universal access, ease of use, and security. …

CBDC, as a digital form of central bank money, may allow for a “digital trail”—data—to be accessed, collected, processed and stored. In contrast to cash, CBDC could be designed to potentially include a wealth of personal data encapsulating transaction histories, user demographics, and behavioral patterns. Personal data could establish a link between counterparty identities and transactions. https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/Policy-Papers/Issues/2024/11/08/Central-Bank-Digital-Currency-Progress-And-Further-Considerations-557194

The European-based World Economic Forum (WEF) seems pleased that most nations are intending to adopt Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs):

Cashless Society: WEF Boasts That 98% Of Central Banks Are Adopting CBDCs

April 25, 2024

The WEF recently boasted in a new white paper that 98% of all central banks are now pursuing CBDC programs.  The report, titled ‘Modernizing Financial Markets With Wholesale Central Bank Digital Currency’, notes:

“CeBM is ideal for systemically important transactions despite the emergence of alternative payment instruments…Wholesale central bank digital currency (wCBDC) is a form of CeBM that could unlock new economic models and integration points that are not possible today.”

The paper primarily focuses on the streamlining of crossborder transactions, an effort which the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has been deeply involved in for the past few years.  It also highlights an odd concept of differentiated CBDC mechanisms, each one specifically designed to be used by different institutions for different reasons.  Wholesale CBDCs would be used only by banking institutions, governments and some global corporations, as opposed to Retail CBDCs which would be reserved for the regular population. …

By extension, the adoption of CBDCs by governments and global banks will ultimately lead to what the WEF calls “dematerialization” – The removal of physical securities and money.  The WEF states:

“As with the Bank of England’s (BOE) RTGS modernization programme, the intention is to introduce a fully digitized securities system that is future-proofed for incremental adoption of DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology). The tokenization of assets involves creating digital tokens representing underlying assets like real estate, equities, digital art, intellectual property and even cash. Tokenization is a key use case for blockchain, with some estimates pointing towards $4-5 trillion in tokenized securities on DLTa  by 2030.”

Finally, they let the cat out of the bag:

“The BIS proposed two models for bringing tokenization into the monetary system: 1) Bring CBDCs, DTs and tokenized assets on to a common unified ledger, and 2) pursue incremental progress by creating interlinking systems.

They determined the latter option was more feasible given that the former requires a reimagination of financial systems. Experimentation with the unified ledger concept is ongoing.”

To interpret this into decoded language – The unified ledger is essentially another term for a one world digital currency system completely centralized and under the control of global banks like the BIS and IMF.  The WEF and BIS are acknowledging the difficulty of introducing such a system without opposition, so, they are recommending incremental introduction using “interlinking systems” (attaching CBDCs to paper currencies and physical contracts and then slowly but surely dematerializing those assets and making digital the new norm).  It’s the totalitarian tip-toe.

The BIS predicts there will be at least 9 major CBDCs in circulation by the year 2030; this is likely an understatement of the intended plan.  Globalists have hinted in the past that they prefer total digitization by 2030.

A cashless society would be the end game for economic anonymity and freedom in trade. https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/cashless-society-wef-boasts-98-central-banks-are-adopting-cbdcs

Yes, the WEF wants all financial transactions to be digital. Yes, a cashless society ends “economic anonymity and freedom.”

Moves in that direction were part of #13 of my list of 24 items to prophetically watch in 2024:

13. CBDCs and 666

Notice the following prophecy:

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)

This type of financial surveillance could not have happened during the time of the Apostle John as there was no real way to monitor many financial transactions then (despite the fact that ‘preterists’ believe this was fulfilled almost 2000 years ago, see also The Dangerous Rise of Preterists). The same was true for all the centuries that followed until the late 20th and now the 21st century. But now not only does the technology exist to monitor most financial transactions, the political will is there as well.

It will be a European power that will fulfill the above prophecy of 666 (watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

It will likely take supercomputers aided with artificial intelligence to aid in the fulfillment of the scriptures in Revelation 13:15-18, as well as cyber-spying/monitoring. I do believe that cyber monitoring will be used by the European Beast, King of the North, 666 power. …

Knowledge and monitoring of financial transactions is greatly increasing.

Europe has claimed that it will be the dominant force in cryptocurrency.

The Europeans will push for a CBDC.

Many within BRICS will push for a CBDC.

While 2024 will not see a cashless world, expect to see more movements towards monitorable payments.

Expect to see more steps related to Central Bank Digital Currencies in 2024.

The fall of the US dollar and the trend towards digital money will concern many.

Look for more totalitarian steps to be proposed and/or implemented in 2024.

Biblically, we know that 666 financial controls will be put in place in Europe, and likely elsewhere.

Actions towards Central Bank Digital Currencies look to make that easier. The US Congress will not stop what the Bible shows will happen in Europe.

Related to CBDCs and prophecy, we put together the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel:

14:22

World Economic Forum, CBDCs, and 666

Are there concerns about CBDCs (Central Bank Digitial Currencies)? The Summer meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) was held from June 27-29, 2023 in China. Did WEF speaker and Cornell University professor Eswar Prasad warn of CBDCs could “take us to a pretty dark place’? What did the European Commission say about the future of a digital euro and various protections the same week? Is the tweeted statement, “No one will be able to control how you use your euros” false in the long run according to biblical prophecies, such as Revelation 13:16-18? Is there a real ability to program a CBDC with an expiration date as well as restricting what it could be used to purchase? Has monitoring of purchase transactions been proposed by various European leaders? Does the EU already have a potential enforcement arm of ‘666’? Has the European Central Bank said that cash was “not fit for the digital economy’? Are we moving more towards a cashless world? Are things really changing towards that? Steve Dupuie and Dr. Thiel discuss these and other matters.

Here is a link to our  video: World Economic Forum, CBDCs, and 666.

Are YOU paying attention? Things are changing and will not remain as they have.

Steps towards ‘666’ are clearly happening.

Yes, irrespective of what happens in the US, NZ, Australia, Canada, and the UK, Europe will adopt some type of digital currency.

Probably within the next few years.

The European ‘666’ will arise and control buying and selling.

And for a time Europe will “master the future” under a totalitarian dictator.

But the good news is that it will one day be replaced by the coming Kingdom of God.
