Joe Biden, as many expected, finally dropped out of the race to president:

Biden Drops Out Of 2024 Race But Will Remain Through Term; Endorses Harris As Resignation Calls Grow

July 21, 2024

President Joe Biden is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, has endorsed Kamala Harris, and will “focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” …

And of course, if Biden can’t run, how can he remain president?

Shortly after Biden’s announcement, House Speaker Mike Johnson posted on X:

Rgardless of the chaos in the current White House, our adversaries around the globe should be reminded that the U.S. Congress, the U.S. military, and the American people are fully prepared and committed to defend our interests both at home and abroad.

If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President. He must resign the office immediately. November 5 cannot arrive soon enough. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/biden-dropping-out-2024-race

Joe Biden should have dropped out long ago and actually should have resigned by now because of his mental lapses and deterioration.

Voting for Donald Trump or voting in Republicans will not stop the decline of the USA.

Voting for Kamala Harris or voting in Democrats will not stop the decline of the USA.

The Bible warns:

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil (Isaiah 5:20).

I am NOT a voter nor a Democrat nor a Republican –I am a non-partisan Christian looking for the return of Jesus and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.

Consider that Jesus warned:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)

The divide in the USA is growing as many of its sins (including hypocrisy) become more blatant.

As long-term readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I consider that both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are evil.

Without going into unique specifics about either, let’s consider how they are both similar:

  1. Neither lives like a member of their professed faiths is supposed to try to live.
  2. Both support LGBTQ rights.
  3. One is an adulterer, the other an adulteress.
  4. Both have repeatedly supported increasing US debt.
  5. Both have publicly made numerous gaffes and misstatements.
  6. Both have called for unchecked empowerment of  law-enforcement entities.
  7. Neither has called for national repentance.
  8. Neither has sought first the Kingdom of God.
  9. Both have been leaders in Administrations that have upset the Europeans.
  10. Both have been accused of hypocrisy.

Now, I am not trying to say that there are no differences. Yes, I know they have differing economic and climate policies as well as different views on abortion and racial matters.

As far as abortion goes, there has never been a vice-president who endorsed it so much and so often. Pushing abortion has seemingly been Kamala Harris’ main public outreach over the past year.

Here is information on Kamala Harris in my book Biden-Harris: Prophecies and Destruction:

  1. Kamala Harris Background, Immorality, and Prophetic Consequences

Kamala Devi Harris was born in Oakland, California on October 20, 1964.

“Kamala means ‘lotus’ and is another name for the Hindu goddess Lakshmi—and the empowerment of women.”[i] Kamala means lotus flower in Sanskrit. Whereas Devi is the Hindu deity also known as Mahadevi or ‘Great Goddess,’ the all-embracing Mother Goddess. [ii]

Kamala Harris’ mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was a biologist from Tamil, India. Her father, Donald J. Harris, who became an economics professor at Stanford University, came to the U.S.A. from Jamaica. He and his parents are considered to have “Afro-Jamaican heritage,” which seems to be mainly a combination of British and African heritage.

Kamala’s parents divorced when she was 7. At age 12, she moved with her mother and sister to Quebec. She attended Westmount High School in Quebec, where she founded a dance troupe with a friend. Kamala later attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a B.A. in political science and economics. Kamala Harris then enrolled at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, earning her J.D. in 1989. [iii]

Although 50% of people who take the California Bar exam pass on their first attempt, Kamala Harris did not. [iv]

After she finally passed, Harris began her career as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County.

She later connected with a very powerful California politician named Willie Brown:

In 1994, Harris began dating Willie Brown, a powerhouse in California politics who was then the speaker of the state assembly and was 30 years older than Harris. From his perch in the assembly, Brown appointed Harris to the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and the Medical Assistance Commission—positions that together paid her around $80,000 a year on top of her prosecutor’s salary.[v]

Willie Brown, … 60 year old and “his 29 year old mistress, Kamala.” … Brown was legally married at the time. [vi]

It appears obvious that her adulterous affair with a legally married and influential man assisted her career advancement. The view of comedienne Roseann Barr was that Kamala Harris “slept her way to the bottom” to get her political career going. [vii]

Later, as attorney general Kamala Harris “made waves for her refusal to defend Proposition 8, a 2008 California ballot measure” that defined marriage as between a male and female. [viii] Of course, that is also how Jesus defined marriage (cf. Matthew 19:4-5).

Kamala “Harris married lawyer Doug Emhoff on August 22, 2014, in Santa Barbara, California. She is the stepmother of his two children, Ella and Cole.” [ix] Her husband is Jewish.

In November 2016, she was elected to the US Senate.

In her 2019 book, The Truths We Hold: An American Journey, she has the following statement:

There, my earliest memories of the Bible’s teachings were of a loving God, a God who asked us “to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” and to defend the rights of the poor and needy.” [x]

Beyond that, there do not seem to be many truths Kamala Harris holds related to scripture. And for those of us who believe our religious rights are needy in the 21st century, she along with Joe Biden has essentially stated that we must expect that the rights of those with certain differing views on sexuality surpass our own. Hence, from the perspective of a religious minority, it does not seem she takes such defense seriously.

There are reports that as an adult Kamala Harris claimed to have fallen from a stroller as a toddler at a protest rally and then said she wanted “fweedom” (“it turns out Kamala Harris lifted her “Fweedom” story from a 1965 Playboy interview with Martin Luther King, by Alex Haley”) and that she celebrated Kwanza before it was likely possible as it was a holiday invented in 1966. [xi] So, some have questioned aspects of her childhood memories.

“Kamala Harris, … attended services at both a Black Baptist church and a Hindu temple growing up – an interfaith background.” [xii] She now asserts she is a Baptist, holding membership at the Third Baptist Church of San Francisco.

Kamala Harris Prophecies?

Unlike Joe Biden, Kamala Harris is predominantly of Gentile heritage (as is this author).

The Bible teaches the following:

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower (Deuteronomy 28:43).

Having a Kamala Harris vice-president, along with many race-specific Biden-Harris plans for the U.S.A. listed at the official JoeBiden.com website, [xiii] look to promote those that ethnically are not primarily of Israelite heritage. The bias of these policies towards those the Biden-Harris plan calls “Black and Brown Americans” [xiv] may further increase the divide in the U.S.A. Some expect a “white awakening” that may oppose aspects of that agenda. [xv]

Jesus, Himself, predicted:

7 For there will be an intifada of ethnic group against ethnic group, (Matthew 24:7a, Orthodox Jewish Bible)

17 … Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17b, NKJV)

“Intifada” essentially means rebellion or uprising. We have seen that in protests and riots in the past, and a Biden-Harris Administration looks to trigger racial protests. Further dividing of the U.S.A. will not end well.

Speaking of division, as of January 15, 2021, it looks like the U.S. Senate will be divided essentially in half, in terms of Republicans and Democrats (technically Bernie Sanders is an independent, but can usually be relied on to support the Democrats). As vice-president, Kamala Harris will be able to cast any needed tie-breaking vote in the Senate, hence she is set to become a very powerful person.

Kamala Harris is also female and looks to be one who is fulfilling the following prophecy in these end times:

12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths. (Isaiah 3:12)

While certainly there are places for women (Judges chapters 4 & 5) and Gentiles (2 Chronicles 36:22) in leadership positions, Isaiah does not suggest that this should be looked at as a great blessing.

As far as being hypocritical goes, the Book of Job teaches:

13 … And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish, (Job 8:13)

The Bible prophecy warns that God will punish and destroy “an hypocritical nation” (Isaiah 10:6, KJV) in a prophecy related to the USA.

The Bible teaches:

1 Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)

These national sins include abortion, sexuality immorality, promoting pornography, false witness, violence, economic theft through debt and other means, hypocrisy, disdain for the God of the Bible, covetousness, and a host of others.

The Bible also warns:

12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.

Notice that the above verse is pointing towards disaster with female leadership.

Of course, it is not that male leaders cannot lead to disaster–for they can. Notice also the following, which does not mention gender:

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

And in the USA, for example, there was a male president

As far as evil goes, evil is still evil.

Many professing Christians believe that they need to vote even though that concept is not endorsed in the Bible. But the Bible teaches:

2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil (Exodus 23:2)

The “lesser of two evils” is still evil.

What should a Christian do?

Jesus said to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33) and to pray for God’s kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).

As far as political leaders go, the Apostle Paul wrote:

1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior (1 Timothy 2:1-3).

Notice that we are to pray for worldly leaders and those that have authority over us so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life. Nothing like this is said for voting that many falsely claim is their “Christian” duty–prayer for leaders is.

The Continuing Church of God put out the following video on our Bible New Prophecy YouTube channel:

15:15

Should Christians Vote in 2024?

There are elections in over 50 nations scheduled for 2024. How old is democracy? Does the Bible sanction it? Do people often act like they want to be deceived? Are there men on the ballots that meet the Bible’s criteria for leaders? How does the Bible show that leaders are to be put in place? Is the lesser of two evils still evil? Does the Bible teach that, “the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men in Daniel 4:17? Could someone vote against God’s plan? Do people know more than a prophet of God when it comes to choosing leaders? Are there truly pro-voting scriptures in the Bible? Are God’s people to support a crowd in doing evil? Will voting change the coming destruction that the Bible prophesies? Steve Dupuie and Dr. Thiel go over these matters.

As far as the USA itself goes, the handwriting is on the wall for its coming end.

American Democratic or Republican politicians are not what the USA needs.

The USA needs repentance, the return of Jesus, and the coming Kingdom of God.

Might the U.S.A. Be Gone by 2028? Are there prophetic reasons to believe that the USA will not last two complete presidential terms? Yes. There is a tradition attributed to the Hebrew prophet Elijah that humanity had 6,000 years to live before being replaced by God’s Kingdom. There are scriptures, writings in the Talmud, early Christian teachings that support this. Also, even certain Hindu writings support it.
