Appearing on Fox Business, Paul was asked “What is your reaction to the conviction?”
The Senator responded that it is “a sad day in America,” adding “what I worry about is something even bigger than Donald Trump.”
“I worry about strife. I worry about war in the streets. I worry about 50 percent of the public believing that the court system will be used against them,” Paul further urged.
“I worry when half the country thinks they won’t be treated fairly, what happens and how people react,” the Senator continued.
Paul also pointed out how Hillary Clinton was treated completely differently when she was charged over her email server.
“If you look at records violations and you look at Hillary Clinton, $8 million expense, and they slapped her on the wrist cause she got an $8 thousand fine,” Paul asserted.
“I think Donald Trump is the only person ever prosecuted for this particular crime,” Paul further suggested, stating that there are probably thousands of cases of records violations in New York that never go to court. …

Promoting, or even talking about, such violence could lead to increased rioting and even civil war.

Lawfare Trumps Justice
As you know by now, Donald Trump was found guilty … on all felony counts in his hush money trial in New York.
Sentencing in the case is scheduled for July 11, 2024. That’s just four days before the Republican National Convention begins in Milwaukee on July 15. That’s not a coincidence, by the way. It’s calculated to further tarnish his image ahead of the convention.
It’s part of the pattern of lawfare and abuse of the judicial system that began with the Russia hoax in 2016 even before Trump was elected president that year. The campaign against Trump only increased from there, which included two impeachments.
… I’ve predicted that Trump would likely be convicted in at least one of the several criminal trials against him. … Retired Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz says it’s the weakest case he’s seen in 60 years of legal experience. Other legal experts have expressed similar opinions. Never has a case like this been held in New York. It literally has no precedent. … Trump was facing the full force of lawfare in a hostile venue so no one should be surprised by what happened yesterday. Having said that, the New York case will almost certainly be reversed on appeal. …
The bottom line is lawfare against Trump succeeded in this case. They got their conviction and can now call Trump a convicted felon to discredit him ahead of the November election, which was always their plan.

Yes, the legal and political systems in the USA have become more corrupt. As the USA has turned more and more towards atheism, consistent with the following, it has become more corrupt:
1 The fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works, (Psalms 14:1)
This is not to say that Donald Trump, himself, is not corrupt. He has shown that, but the hypocritical use of the US Department of Justice and its political allies is more corrupt than the dominant media wants to admit.
Bad things are coming as Jesus warned in the 24th chapter of Matthew:
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:6-12)
We are in the “beginning of sorrows” and we are more and more seeing “lawlessness” abounding as Jesus warned.
Related to violence in the land and prophecies, the old Worldwide Church of God published the following:
This world is filled with a multitude of causes, small and great, just and unjust. The prospects for success for many of these causes, however, are doubtful at best. Opposition or indifference to them is simply too overwhelming in many cases to permit the individuals and groups involved to achieve their goals. …
Bible prophecy … reveals that we are headed for a new dark age of political despotism and barbarism — on a scale unmatched in history! Rampant terrorism on the world scene will undoubtedly play its part in paving the way for prophesied end-time tyrants to assume broad “emergency” powers — as did Adolf Hitler and others through history. …
Jesus prophesied that conditions in the latter days would mirror the chaotic state of the earth in Noah’s time — an evil and corrupt world filled with violence (Luke 17:26, Genesis 6:5, 11).
The apostle Paul also warned, “In the last days perilous times will come” (II Timothy 3:1). The meaning of this prophecy goes far beyond mere incidental crime.
“Make a chain,” cried the prophet Ezekiel , “for the land is filled with crimes of blood, and the city is full of violence” (Ezekiel 7:23).
Bible prophecies picture an end-time world filled with lawlessness, aggression and hate, a world split by factions and international disputes, an era of rampant, indiscriminate violence and murder inspired by Satan the devil, the original murderer (John 8:44). We are seeing more hate and violence.
The USA is deeply divided. It has politicized more and more.
Jesus warned:
25 … Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)
24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (Mark 3:24-25)
17 … Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)
Notice that God inspired this to be written three times in the Gospels.
God normally seems to repeat something in scripture for emphasis.
The division is a BIG DEAL.
The end of the USA is coming (cf. Daniel 11:39).
In Matthew 24:7, Jesus warned of famines. Could such hit the USA?

The concept of mass starvation has not been in the forefront of American society for a very long time. Even during the Great Depression the US was majority agrarian and most people knew how to live off the land. In fact, the US has never suffered a true national famine. The just-in-time freight system is perhaps one of the worst ever devised in terms of community redundancy. Any disruption no matter how minor could cut off supplies to a town or city for days or weeks. …

The black horseman’s future ride will reduce the proud faces of white America, Europe, and the British Common wealth into the blackened skin of starvation such as now afflicts the vast majority of mankind. (Alexander G. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ambassador College Press, Pasadena (CA), 1973, p. 31)
Notice some of the penalties for disobedience recorded in the 26th chapter of Leviticus: “If after all this you have not learnt discipline but still defy me, I in turn will defy you and scourge you seven times over for your sins. I will bring war in vengeance upon you … you shall be herded into your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be given over to the enemy. I will cut short your daily bread until ten women can bake your bread in a single oven; they shall dole it out by weight [see Revelation 6:5-6], and though you eat, you shall not be satisfied. If in spite of this you do not listen to me and still defy me, I will defy you in anger, and I myself will punish you seven times over for your sins. Instead of meat you shall eat your sons and daughters” (Lev. 26:23-28, The New English Bible). Other passages warn of famine-producing upsets in weather (Amos 4:7, Deut. 28:24); ruined harvests (Ezek. 5:16, Deut. 28:17); blighted crops (Amos 4:9); harmful insect pests (Deut. 28:39, 42); and nonproductive soil (Deut. 28:23). Troubles are prophesied (Mark 13:8).

Consider also that the USA has massive debt–the most of any nation in history.
The USA continues to massively increase its debts while it has plenty of food, etc.
But once it is struck with major catastrophes, like crop failure, foreigners will wake up and realize that the USA cannot pay back its debts, so why sell to the USA on credit?

Let us also consider that there is a prophecy in Habakkuk, written about 2600 years ago, about debt which is preceded by the following:
2 Then the Lord answered me and said:
Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. (Habakkuk 2:2)
The Bible says that the ‘debt prophecy’ to be revealed later in Habakkuk 2 is so significant that those who read it should run—essentially that they should take steps because the results will be horrific. Joe Biden and many other American politicians have not run away from increasing U.S.A. debt—that will be to the nation’s peril.
The Bible warns about something that will happen to a heavily indebted nation. Notice what the Hebrew seer Habakkuk wrote over 2,600 years ago:
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry … 5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man … 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his—how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you… (Habakkuk 2:2-3,6–8).
Notice that what is to happen is so bad, that people who read the prophecy should run, when it is time for it to be fulfilled. Since that prophecy is to be fulfilled at the appointed time of the end, it is still for the future, but perhaps not too far distant in the future. No nation has ever been in as much total debt as the U.S.A.
The “U.S. is highly vulnerable to loss of confidence by foreign creditors.” (Rickards J. Axis of Gold. The Daily Reckoning, December 20, 2016)
The USA is subject to the sorrows and troubles Jesus warned about–including violence and famines. The time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), also known as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), is coming and the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies (including Canada) will be affected.
National repentance is the only way to prevent it, and that does not look likely.
Personal repentance, however, is still possible. Your personal future can still be much brighter than that of your country. Jesus, in addition to being the source of salvation, also offered physical protection to the most faithful (see Philadelphian Christian Great Tribulation Protection and/or watch Great Tribulation Protection).
