US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump remains in the news for his statements related to temporarily blocking travel of Muslims into the USA:

From the White House, the Pentagon, world leaders and Muslim advocacy groups there has come a barrage of criticism for billionaire Donald Trump after the leading U.S. Republican presidential candidate called for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the United States.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest on Tuesday called Trump’s rhetoric “offensive and toxic,” saying his plan “disqualifies him from serving as president” because he would be violating the U.S. Constitution if he implemented it, should he win the country’s 2016 presidential contest.
At the Pentagon, spokesman Peter Cook highlighted the military’s partnerships with Muslim nations as well as its own Muslim troops, and noted the security implications of anything that boosts Islamic State claims that the U.S. is at war with Islam.
“Anything that bolsters ISIL’s narrative and pits the United States against the Muslim faith is certainly not only contrary to our values, but contrary to our national security,” he said, using an acronym for the militant group.
U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan said Trump’s proposal to bar Muslims until U.S. leaders can “figure out what is going on” about possible new terror attacks is not what the Republican party or the country stand for.
“Freedom of religion is a fundamental constitutional principle. It’s a founding principle of this country,” Ryan said Tuesday.
Global reaction
Across the Atlantic, British Prime Minister David Cameron called Trump’s plan “divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong,” while U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters in Paris that Trump’s comments are “not constructive.”
A spokeswoman for the United Nations refugee agency, which relocates people into the U.S., including Syrian Muslims, said Tuesday in Geneva that it is “concerned that the rhetoric that is being used in the election campaign is putting an incredibly important resettlement program at risk.”
Keysar Trad, chairman of the Sydney-based Islamic Friendship Association of Australia, called Trump’s comment “a desperate statement by a desperate man who knows that he’s clutching at straws and has no chance of winning the election. So he’s trying to win it off the back of the Islamophobia industry.”
In the U.S., Trump’s political opponents widely condemned his proposal and legal experts told news outlets that a ban on Muslims entering the country would be unconstitutional.

Donald Trump’s online critics have proposed an alternative to his anti-terrorism policies: Assassinate him instead.
Secret Service agents assigned to protect Trump since Nov. 11 may be working overtime in the wake of his comments on halting Muslim immigration into the U.S. A slew of death threats against the billionaire were tweeted after a campaign stop in South Carolina on Monday.
“Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine,” Trump said in a statement released Tuesday. “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.”
Trump’s extreme critics saw no irony between his statements on Islamic radicals and their calls for his assassination.
“Can we kill Trump?” asked a woman named Tijani.
“Now he wants to impede Muslims from entering the U.S.? Someone really needs to kill trump ASAP,” wrote a user identified as Aldo.

No, the terrorists should not be encouraged to kill anyone, including Donald Trump. But yes, what he is calling for relating to blocking people just because of their religion seems to be against at least the intent of the Constitution of the USA.

Washington (CNN) Donald Trump’s tweet on Tuesday dangling the idea of an independent run for president sent a clear warning to the Republican establishment: Attack at your own peril.
After 24 hours of withering criticism from the likes of Dick Cheney, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and virtually every fellow GOP presidential hopeful — not to mention Democrats and the mayors of Philadelphia and London — Trump is defiantly standing by his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. And he upped the ante by tweeting a new USA Today/Suffolk University poll that shows 68% of the 2016 Republican front-runner’s supporters would ditch the GOP and stick with him if he launched an independent campaign for the presidency.
Such a decision would almost surely rob Republicans of an opportunity to take back the White House in 2016. So Trump is bringing a deal-maker’s understanding of brinksmanship to the campaign trail: No matter how thoroughly Republicans trash him, he won’t change course because he knows the party needs him as much as or more than he needs it. http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/09/politics/donald-trump-republican-party-warning/
So, Donald Trump is essentially warning his party that he can stop them from winning, so they need to be more careful about what they say about him.
Ignoring that aspect of politics, let us consider Donald Trump’s proposed solution: Will stopping future Muslims from visiting the USA until a better form of vetting (background checks) possibly reduce Islamic terrorism?
Yes.
Might having such a restriction turn more Muslims against the USA if it were to be implemented?
Yes.
Will stopping future Muslims come into the USA until a better ‘vetting’ of their backgrounds stop terrorism?
No.
The Muslim couple that was involved in the shooting in San Bernadino last week were supposedly vetted and considered to be safe. Then they supposedly changed. That is consistent with certain Islamic teachings (see Why Terrorism? Is Terrorism Prophesied?). Thus, better vetting is not going to stop all future terrorism.
Furthermore, the Bible warns:
25 There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:25)
There are already millions of Muslims within the borders of the USA, and polls suggest at least multiple thousands support Jihad.
On the Democratic side, top presidential contender Hillary Clinton proposed stricter gun control laws after the San Bernadino, California terrorist shooting (e.g. NY Daily News: ‘God Isn’t Fixing This’).
Yet, California already has gun control laws.
Might stricter gun control laws possibly reduce Islamic terrorism?
Yes.
Will this stop all future terrorism?
No.
Would this have stopped the San Bernadino terrorists from being terrorists?
That is highly unlikely.
While they may have used different guns, or perhaps none at all, the government reported that the San Bernadino terrorist couple had a virtual pipe bomb factory in their apartment with remote control activators either ready to use or in the works. More gun regulations would not have stopped them from being terrorists–more regulations may have only changed how they would have carried out their terrible crimes.
Also to remind everyone, for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the terrorists used box cutters, and not guns, to takeover jet airliners to kill 3000.
So currently, we have the highest polling Republican and Democratic candidates for the USA presidency, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton respectively, who do NOT have the solution to terrorism.
Neither has publicly indicated that it is because of sins in the USA for turning more against the morality of the Bible that is the real cause of being hit by terrorism.
Consider the following biblical warnings about terrorism:
6 You have forsaken Me,” says the Lord,
“You have gone backward.
Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;
I am weary of relenting!
7 And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land;
I will bereave them of children;
I will destroy My people,
Since they do not return from their ways.
8 Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas;
I will bring against them,
Against the mother of the young men,
A plunderer at noonday;
I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly. (Jeremiah 15:6-8)12 Behold, these are the ungodly,Who are always at ease; They increase in riches…19 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. (Psalms 73:12,19)
10 You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines, 11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.
12 Oh, the raging of many nations–they rage like the raging sea! Oh, the uproar of the peoples–they roar like the roaring of great waters! 13 Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters,when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale. 14 In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us. (Isaiah 17:10-14, NIV)
14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-17)
The only real solutions are national repentance (not likely) and the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God will not come until AFTER the Great Tribulation and the destruction of the USA (Daniel 11:39-45). More should consider personal repentance, as God does have a way of escape for the end time Philadelphian Christians (Revelation 3:7-10; 12:14-16; see also There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Consider also the following about leaders and those who do not know God:
12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)
10 ‘The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.” (Isaiah 9:10)
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).
7 Their feet run to evil,
And they make haste to shed innocent blood;
Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
Wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of peace they have not known,
And there is no justice in their ways;
They have made themselves crooked paths;
Whoever takes that way shall not know peace. (Isaiah 59:7-8)
Because leaders do not know the God of the Bible and His ways, they do not know the way of peace and often promote erroneous policies according to the Bible.
Terrorism Will Be Stopped
The immediate future does not look bright for those battling against terrorism. And as the world’s level of frustration rises, an America that has seemed nearly impervious to terrorism may begin to suffer along with the rest of the world. … This recent historic period was not unlike the situation in Beirut today — and not unlike a time described by the apostle Paul 1,900 years ago: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves… boastful, proud, abusive… unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash…” (II Tim. 3:1-4, New International Version).
Jesus Christ himself prophesied (see the account in Matthew 24:7-8) that at the time of the end, “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” This is what we have today. One nation sponsoring bloody terrorist attacks on another. The governments under assault today are often powerless to stop this deadly scourge. The world must, instead, look elsewhere for a way out of this madness. More killings, more bombings, more sorrows are on the horizon. But there is a government on its way that will deal with terrorism in a firm manner. The kingdom of God will save mankind from men willing to go to any length — whether by war or terrorism — to achieve their means.
The coming Messiah “will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore” (Isa. 2:4, NIV). (Taylor D. TERRORISM the Worst Is Yet to Come! Plain Truth, May 1984)
God does have a plan to fix terrorism, but the politicians do not know what it is. The plan is the replacement of the governments of this world with the Kingdom of God:
15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)
This is something that the top polling Republican and Democratic candidates for the USA presidency do not advocate. But it will be the solution to terrorism.
