The Pope’s Audience Hall Resembles a Snake
Have you heard of the Pope’s Audience Hall that was built in 1971. It is a building that is designed to look like a reptile. In essence, the Pope speaks to his audience from the head of a snake. The whole building and stage appear to resemble the image of a snake. The eyes, the shape, the scales, the fangs, all look like a reptile.
The exterior shape of the building has been likened to the head of a pit viper. Yet, it’s only after one goes inside that the full effect can be appreciated. If one stands at the far end of the hall and looks all the way down to the stage at the other end, where Francis and his four immediate predecessors have given their messages, there’s what looks like a gigantic viper staring back at one with the windows as the elliptical eyes so characteristic of the Viperidae family of reptiles. The stage is the mouth with pillars to either side of the middle shaped like fangs, the center aisle for a tongue, and the design of the ceiling and walls reminiscent of snake skin.

The Paul VI Audience Hall (Italian: Aula Paolo VI) also known as the Hall of the Pontifical Audiences is a building in Rome named for Pope Paul VI with a seating capacity of 6,300, designed in reinforced concrete by the Italian architect Pier Luigi Nervi and completed in 1971. It was constructed on land donated by the Knights of Columbus.
It lies partially in the Vatican City but mostly in Italy: the Italian part of the building is treated as an extraterritorial area of the Holy See and is used by the Pope as an alternative to Saint Peter’s Square when conducting his Wednesday morning General Audience. The New Testament has warnings about a power backed by a snake or serpent-type reptile, depending on the translation.
Notice the following from the 12th chapter of the Book of Revelation:
7 Then a war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels had to fight a war with the serpent. The serpent and its angels fought. 8 But it was not strong enough, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 The huge serpent was thrown down. That ancient snake, named Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world, was thrown down to earth. Its angels were thrown down with it. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, power, kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah have come. The one accusing our brothers and sisters, the one accusing them day and night in the presence of our God, has been thrown out. 11 They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life so much that they refused to give it up. 12 Be glad for this reason, heavens and those who live in them. How horrible it is for the earth and the sea because the Devil has come down to them with fierce anger, knowing that he has little time left.”
13 When the serpent saw that it had been thrown down to earth, it persecuted the woman who had given birth to the boy. 14 The woman was given the two wings of the large eagle in order to fly away from the snake to her place in the wilderness, where she could be taken care of for a time, times, and half a time. 15 The snake’s mouth poured out a river of water behind the woman in order to sweep her away. 16 The earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river which had poured out of the serpent’s mouth. 17 The serpent became angry with the woman. So it went away to fight with her other children, the ones who keep God’s commands and hold on to the testimony of Jesus. (Revelation 12:7-17, CEV)
So, the most faithful will be protected from the actions of the snake, but the rest of the Christians will be persecuted by it and its backers.
As it turns out, the 13th chapter of the Book of Revelation tells of the persecution of the saints supported by a type of reptile called the dragon. Here are a few passages:
3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. (Revelation 13:3-13)
Furthermore, the 17th chapter of the Book of Revelation ties these persecutors (Revelation 17:6,14) in with “mystery Babylon” (Revelation 17:5) of the “great city” (Revelation 17:18) of “seven hills” (Revelation 17:9), which is Rome, even according to Roman Catholic scholars.
There are various symbols in that chapter of the Revelation that look similar to some that the current European Union uses.

EU Babylonian Beast Symbols?
Does the European Union openly use pictures, statues, coins, and other symbols which may tie it in with the prophesied “Mystery Babylon the Great” that the Bible warns against? Where did the name Babylon come from? What about the Tower of Babel? Where did Europe get its name? Did a nymph ride a beast that was supposed to be the pagan god Zeus? Have we seen growth in the European project consistent with warnings in the Book of Daniel? Why does the flag of the EU have twelve stars? Are there ties to Marianism? Does the Bible warn people to come out of Babylon? Yet, do Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic prophecies actual look forward to ‘New Babylon’? That being said, it is interesting that the Vatican has a major hall that looks like the snake is backing their pontiff when he speaks.
It is likely more than a coincidence.
Related to Babylon, the Bible also warns that it will be destroyed and Christians should not be part of it:
1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. (Revelation 18:1-5)
8 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:8-12)
Hopefully, the fact that the Pontifical Audience Hall looks like a viper/snake/serpent will help some see the connection to Babylon.
