Obama claims helping with Obamacare is ‘doing God’s work’

Barack Obama has gone and declared that those who are encouraging people to sign up for his healthcare law (often referred to as Obamacare) are doing God’s work:

Last night in Washington President Obama addressed the national meeting of Organizing for Action, the outfit formerly known as his re-election campaign. Young OFA volunteers have been redeployed to the task of persuading Americans to sign up for new health insurance plans created by the President’s Affordable Care Act. Mr. Obama urged his young fans to sign up as many people as possible before this year’s March 31 enrollment deadline. “The work you’re doing is God’s work,” he said.

The irony is particularly rich given that under a mandate issued under the Affordable Care Act, Mr. Obama is still trying to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to violate their religious beliefs. Touting the latest White House Obamacare benchmark, President Barack Obama told his political base not to be discouraged by partisan attacks and stressed that their cause is divine.

Obama told OFA volunteers and officials. “I can talk, my team can talk here in Washington, but it’s not going to make as much of a difference as if you are out there making the case. As the picture at the beginning of this post demonstrates, some have seen Barack Obama in some type of messianic mode. While I do believe that Barack Obama is apocalyptic (see Prophecies of Barack Obama? and/or watch Barack Obama and the State of the Apocalypse), I do not believe that his Administration is “doing God’s work,” which has to do with proclaiming Christ’s gospel of the kingdom to the world as a witness (Matthew 24:14), teaching people in all nations what Jesus has commanded (Matthew 28:19-20), and believing Jesus (John 6:29):

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. 29…This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent. (John 6:29)

Barack Obama, instead of teaching people to do what Jesus commanded, has made public statements condoning abortion, homosexuality, and celebrity pornography.

Furthermore, with his healthcare agenda, he wants more access and funding for abortion, and does not seem to really care that many have religious views that are opposed to that. Thus, the primary way he seems to be contributing to ‘doing God’s work’ is taking steps that I consider to be apocalyptic (at least 17 of which are listed in my book Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States-Second Edition for Second Obama Term).

As far as what work the Church of God should be doing, this includes putting proper emphasis on public proclamation of Christ’s gospel of the Kingdom and teaching all to observe all things Jesus commanded.
