GCI’s Bernie Schnippert died

The old Worldwide Church of God used to own the above buildings, which since have been demolished.

The former legal counsel for Grace Communion International (GCI) as well as former employee of the old Worldwide Church of God (WCG), Bernie Schnippert has died:

Bernie Schnippert passed away Friday night about 7 PM as he was sleeping.

Prayers for his wife Arlene and his daughters Crystal and Coral during this time.

His months and years of suffering are now over and he can be at peace.

A small private memorial service is being planned.

Due to his ongoing health struggles, Dr. Bernard Schnippert retired on June 27 from his position as GCI’s legal counsel.

I never knew him well, though I may have spoken with him over the telephone a few years back.

I disagree with those who accepted the basically Protestant changes that the Tkach Administrations imposed on the old WCG and then GCI. But some, like Bernie Schnippert, promoted them.

The Philadelphia Church Era was predominant circa 1933 A.D. to 1986 A.D. The old Radio Church of God and old Worldwide Church of God, now the remnant of that era is basically the most faithful in the Church of God, like who hold to the beliefs and practices of the Continuing Church of God.
The Laodicean Church Era has been predominant circa 1986 A.D. to present. The Laodiceans are non-Philadelphians who mainly descended from the old WCG or its offshoots. They do not properly understand the work or biblical prophecies and will face the Great Tribulation if they do not repent.
