Gene Hogberg died

Gene Hogberg, longtime servant of the Worldwide Church of God in its editorial and educational arms, died peacefully in the early morning of March 10 at the home of his son Neal in Richardson, Texas.

Mr. Hogberg was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, in April of 2020. Many longtime Church members will remember his name as being intricately involved in the editorial content of the Church’s many booklets and publications. In the late 1950s he developed the News Bureau for the media efforts of the Church, which continued for decades. As well, he regularly contributed to the editorial content of The Plain Truth magazine and The World Tomorrow telecast.

FWIW, let me add that I met Gene Hogberg a couple of times.

He did a lot of writing about world news and prophecy.
