Catholic and Islamic Prophecy in the News: A Clash After 2013
Hildegard Allegedly Receiving a Vision
Received two new email links of religious and prophetic interest. One on Catholic prophecy and the other on Islamic prophecy. First, the Catholic one:
Catholic Prophecy, Europe, And The Return Of The King
by Pat Archbold …
Catholic prophets…there are dozens and dozens of quotes from Approved Catholic sources, saints, sages, Fathers and Doctors of the Church who have gone out of their way to let us know what may befall mankind before the end of the world…
So what do these saints, sages, Fathers and Doctors tell us? The basic scenario goes something like this: (Nutshell version)
Sometime near the end of the world, but before the rise of Antichrist, the world and the Church will be in a terrible state. Faith is greatly diminished…What many prophecies agree upon is that the great Chastisement begins with civil unrest and anarchy in Europe (likely economic) that grows into all out civil war and general war. The focus of such prophecy is Europe…Surprisingly, amidst the chaos, a new and great Pope is miraculously chosen. This Pope crowns a king (yes, a king) for France to help end the chaos there.
This king goes on to defeat the enemies of the Church across world and becomes the Great Monarch, Emperor to a restored Holy Roman Empire and de facto leader of the world…
So this Catholic sometimes wonders, is this the time they were talking about?
The above is consistent with views found in writings related to Catholic mystics, and in some ways is the mirror opposite of biblical prophecy. The Bible warns about a King of the North who rises in Europe, who sounds a lot like the Great Monarch of Catholic prophecy. The “miraculously chosen” sounds a lot like the false prophet of Revelation 16. The two work together as Revelation 13 and 16 show. BTW, Hildegard, shown at the beginning of this post, is to be made a “Doctor” of the Catholic Church during the Feast of Tabernacles this year and she had various visions that are against the plan of God (see COG Alert: Hildegard to Be Made ‘Doctor of the Universal Church’).
I have long believed that portions of Satan’s plan have been revealed through various mystics. But this plan is not limited to Catholics.
Notice something from a press release that came out this week:
End Times Will Start in 2013, Based on Numerical Analysis of Quran...
End Times Research Center (E.T.R.C.) has recently released, on its site: www.EndTimes2013.com, its scholarly book titled: First Phase of the End Times 2013 – 2022 : As revealed through Numerical Analysis of the Quran, Hadith, and Arabic Words…
It predicts that, if God is willing, the first phase of the End Times will start in late 2013 with the emergence of an evil leader, triggering the emergence of the Mahdi (Leader of Muslims). This phase will end in 2022 after the emergence of the last evil leader which triggers the descent of Prophet Jesus Christ from Heaven…
it states that on a specific day in 2022, the first phase of the End Times, which is a period of tribulation, will end and the second phase, a period of peace, will begin…
End Times Research Center (E.T.R.C.) is a Sunni Islamic research center dedicated to studying the End Times. Full text at: http://www.pr.com/press-release/432292
I went to theEndTimes2013 website today, and here is some of what it shows:
The beginning of the End Times & the appearance of the Imam Mahdi will most likely be in late 2013.
Jesus Christ’s return (coming back) will most likely be in 2022…
Year 2013 coincides with 1434 -1435 Hijri which is within the period prophesied in the following narration :
“Count two or three decades after 1400 Hijri. At that time, the Mahdi will emerge…”
(Qalda bin Zayd bin Baraka, Asma Masalik Li Ayyam Al-Mahdi: Malik Li Kul Al-Dunya Bi Amr Allah El-Malik, p. 216 )
The Imam Mahdi that many Muslims are looking for, sounds a lot like the King of the South of biblical prophecy. And this King of the South will be defeated before Jesus comes (Daniel 11:40-43).
As far as the timing go, Catholics who look at world events suspect the time is coming soon, while Muslims have pointed to the 2013 time frame (which, for them, technically begins on November 15, 2012 as that is the start of their year 1434) to lead to the emergence of their Imam Mahdi.
So, while Catholics have prophecies that look forward to final one that the Bible condemns called the Beast or the King of the North, Muslims have prophecies that look forward to one that the Bible says will be defeated called the King of the South.
Perhaps I should add that Catholic, Islamic, and Bible prophecy show that there will be a clash between both leaders and that the Europeans will win. Notice just one prophecy from each of those sources (Note: The Islamic source calls the Roman Catholic Europeans Banil Asfaar which is a term they use for Romans):
Catholic Rudolph Gekner (died 1675). A great prince of the North with a most powerful army will traverse all Europe, uproot all republics, and exterminate all rebels. His sword moved by Divine power will most valiantly defend the Church of Jesus Christ. He will combat on behalf of the true orthodox faith, and shall subdue to his dominion the Mahometan Empire. A new pastor of the universal church will come from the shore (of Dalmatia) through a celestial prodigy, and in simplicity of heart.. (Connor E. Prophecy for Today. Imprimatur + A.J. Willinger, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno; Reprint: Tan Books and Publishers, Rockford (IL), 1984, p.36).
Islamic 5 General anarchy and bloodshed, that no Arab household will be spared from it 6 Then a life of peace as a result of a peace agreement between you and the Banil Asfaar (Romans) which they will break and attack you with a force consisting of eighty flags and under each flag will be an army of twelve thousand men.” (Hadith: Sahih Bukhari). (Ibn Zubair Ali, Mohammed Ali. The minor signs of Last Days from: The Signs of Qiyamah. http://www.islamawareness.net/Prophecies/minor.html viewed 08/10/12)
Biblical 40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. (Daniel 11:40-42)
The Islamic prophecy is teaching that the clash comes after a peace deal. There is another Islamic prophecy that states that this peace deal is supposed to last for seven years:
Rasaullah [Muhammed] said: “There will be four peace agreements between you and the Romans [Christians]. The fourth agreement…will be upheld for seven years. ( As cited in Richardson J. Antichrist: Islam’s Awaited Messiah. Pleasant Word, 2006, p. 48)
The Bible tells of what appears to be a seven year peace deal that a Roman leader (Daniel 9:26) breaks (Daniel 9:27).
And while Islam and Catholicism may have other clashes, the one described in Daniel 11:40-43 cannot possibly start until 2016 or later. If it does start in 2019, then the Islamic prediction that Jesus will come in 2022 will be correct (Note: I am not trying to say to rely on Islamic prophecy. But the reality is that false prophets/mystics have made predictions for Jesus to return pretty much every year and some, Islamic or otherwise, are likely to get the year correct since so many years are predicted for that return.)
Europe is north of Jerusalem and the one that will become the King of the North (Daniel 11:40) will lead an empire that had roots in the old empire of Rome (Daniel 9:26-27). The Bible is clear that the “Great Sea,” where the Beasts of Daniel 7 come from, is the Mediterranean Sea (e.g. Joshua 9:1, 23:4; Ezekiel 47:15). The Beast power is not a nation like Russia, which does not border the Mediterranean Sea, but Europe which does. But this European empire, which the Bible warns will never truly be fully unified (Daniel 2:42-43), still is not unified enough yet for end time prophecy to be fulfilled–but it is moving in that direction.
A clash is coming between a nominally Catholic leader of a European confederation (cf. Revelation 13) and an Islamic leader of a primarily Arabic confederation (Daniel 11:40-43; Ezekiel 30:1-8). Nearly half of the entire planet is either nominally Catholic or Muslim and a major conflict between these two emerging powers must come to pass in not too many years in the future
