September 13th – This is Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar – the last day of the Shemitah year. Many are concerned about this date because we have seen giant stock market crashes on the last day of the previous two Shemitah cycles.

On September 17th, 2001 (which was Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), we witnessed the greatest one day stock market crash in U.S. history up until that time. The Dow plummeted 684 points, and it was a record that held for exactly seven years until the end of the next Shemitah cycle.

On September 29th, 2008 (which was also Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), the Dow fell by an astounding 777 points, which still today remains the greatest one day stock market crash of all time.

Now we are approaching the end of another Shemitah year. So will the stock market crash on September 13th, 2015? Well, no, because that day is a Sunday. So I guarantee that the stock market will not crash on that particular day. But as Jonathan Cahn has pointed out in his book on the Shemitah, sometimes stock market crashes happen just before the end of the Shemitah year and sometimes they happen within just a few weeks after the end of the Shemitah. So we are not just looking at one particular date.

September 15th – The 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins on this date. It is being reported that France plans to introduce a resolution which would give formal UN Security Council recognition to a Palestinian state. Up until now, the United States has always been the one blocking such a resolution, but Barack Obama is indicating that things may be much different this time around.

September 25th to September 27th – The United Nations is going to launch a brand new sustainable development agenda for the entire planet. Some have called this “Agenda 21 on steroids”. But this new agenda is not just about the environment. It also includes provisions regarding economics, agriculture, education and gender equality. On September 25th, the Pope will travel to New York to give a major speech kicking off the UN conference where this new agenda will be unveiled.

September 28th – This is the date for the last of the four blood moons that fall on Biblical festival dates during 2014 and 2015. This blood moon falls on the very first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, it will be a “supermoon”, and it will actually be visible in the city of Jerusalem. There are many that dismiss the blood moon phenomenon, but we have seen similar patterns before. For example, a similar pattern of eclipses happened just before and just after the destruction of the Jewish temple by the Romans in 70 AD.

Let me try to address these.

First is Jade Helm. Many are concerned that the USA is about to declare some type of full martial law and perhaps take over Texas–that did not happen, at least not yet. Here is a link to a video about that Jade Helm, Captivity, and Prophecy.

Second is the so-called end of the Shemitah year. This was popularized by the Messianic Jew Jonathan Cahn, who is perhaps best known for his book The Harbinger. I looked into this before and DO NOT BELIEVE THAT WE ARE IN THE SHEMITAH YEAR, thus believe any claims based upon that are irrelevant. However, I will agree that the U.S. stock market sometimes faces crises near the time of the Fall holy days.

Notice the following, that came out several months ago, related to a temple and Jonathan Cahn:

The Institute, based in the Old City of Jerusalem, announced it has finished building an altar that is essentially “ready for use” in sacrificial services.

The altar is the most ambitious project to date toward the goal of rebuilding the Jewish Temple. The massive outdoor altar, which took several years to build, can be operational at little more than a moment’s notice, reported the Israeli magazine Matzav Haruach.

The altar is the last major component needed for the long-obstructed sacrifices to resume in a future Jewish temple. …

Jonathan Cahn, author of “The Harbinger” and “The Mystery of the Shemitah” also sees the announcement as significant.

Jonathan Cahn’s “The Harbinger” and his other book “The Mystery of the Shemitah” are flawed (here is a link with some information related to him: Pat Robertson declared ‘Harbinger’ author as God’s prophet; is he right about 2015?). Also, his contentions about a temple must be rebuilt in this age are also biblically wrong (see Why is a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Not Required?).

The third has to do with the United Nations and what may happen related to the Palestinians. Ultimately, it appears that certain lands currently occupied by the tiny nation called Israel will be under control, or at least dominated, by Palestinians/Gazans (see Gaza and the Palestinians in Bible Prophecy). However, I do not believe that the September 15, 2015 meeting in the United Nations will make that happen then. It may, however, increase international pressure on Israel. Some day, Israel will be part of a temporary peace deal, that will be broken per Daniel 9:27 (see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27). It is not likely that this deal will occur in September of 2015, but is likely to be confirmed (some time after it is made) in the Fall of some year.

The fourth has to do with both the United Nations and Pope Francis. Pope Francis is to meet with USA leaders and the United Nations in September. He is expected to encourage interfaith cooperation and his version of a ‘climate change’ agenda. The latter point could result in economic shifts in the world with the intent to fine/tax those nations that produce more carbon (with probably exceptions for poorer/developing nations). Some of the funds so raised presumably could be given to countries who produce more oxygen (have more trees).

Some of suggested that Pope Francis will arise to clearly be the final Antichrist this September. While I have long had concerns about him (and even featured him in my book The Last Pope: Do Biblical and Catholic Prophecies Point to Pope Francis? Amazon Book), I believe that biblically, this is too early for most of the signs in Revelation 13:11-17, though he regularly seems to be like the one of Revelation 13:11.

Pope Francis and the United Nations have similar goals in regards to the interfaith and climate change agendas (see United Nations: Humankind’s Last Hope or New World Order?) and Will the Interfaith Movement Lead to Peace or Sudden Destruction?). The Pope will likely endorse something consistent with a ‘new world order,’ but that will still take time. Unless certain events occur in the next six weeks, the Great Tribulation cannot start before 2019 (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?)–thus the final human ‘new world order’ will not happen for years from now.

Some have indicated that the ‘man of sin’ will be set up this month to fulfill the prophecies in 2 Thessalonians 2–but that is not the case.  Also, Pope Francis is NOT the man of sin (see also Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?).

That being said, Pope Francis actions this are expected to help set the stage for the coming final time of Babylon that the Bible warns against in Revelation 17 and 18.

The fifth has to do with ‘blood moons.’ Sometime back, I saw an interview on CBN by Pat Robertson of Jonathan Cahn that was first broadcast 02/05/2013.

The interview screen at one point showed something that resembled two Power Point slides, apparently from Jonathan Cahn or one of his books. The first slide had the following information:

So, the above is a prediction of a possible global collapse at the end of a year that is NOT the Shemitah year.

The second had the following information:

THIS SOLAR ECLIPSE IS WITHIN THE TRIBULATION TETRAD

Now if by tribulation, Jonathan Cahn meant the Great Tribulation, then it is not at all possible to begin then. I have gone over this before in various articles and videos, and I have directly debunked the ‘Blood Moon’ hypotheses of the Great Tribulation beginning in 2014 or 2015 (see Blood Moons and Prophecy and/or watch Blood Moons, Prophecy, 2014, and 2015).

Near the end of the interview Pat Robertson said:

God…has ordained this young man as His prophet…Jonathan…

Is Jonathan Cahn God’s prophet as Pat Robertson stated?

No, he is not.

Jonathan Cahn does not meet the New Testament criteria, plus his misunderstanding of various matters disqualifies him (to learn more about prophets, please see the article How To Determine If Someone is a True Prophet of God and/or watch the video also titled How to determine if someone is a true prophet of God).

Blood moons were not a sign that the Great Tribulation could begin in 2014 or 2015. There are simply too many additional biblically-required signs that Jesus listed in Matthew 24 that cannot occur between now and then.

But it is true that there is an expected ‘blood moon’ on September 28, 2015.

Truly a lot is happening in September 2015. But the end is not yet (cf. Matthew 24:6).
